@@simplyshady20I never heard take 87 but I know a lot his first songs was on the new jack EP when he was 16 just fooling around. Then he started taking rap serious with the bassmint productions in 1990 After that it was soul intent.

What you have to think is ... BACK THEN in what the late 80s early 90s, who was rapping like this ? Eminem said in an interview once something about he would try and rhyme multiple syllables and make the longest words rhymes together with each other. He was just a different caliber back then and now he's mastered his craft of his longevity in the game. There is no other rapper who touches Eminem past or present.
em is incredibly talented obviously, but in that time frame a ton of people were rhyming multisyllabic, this style from infinite is directly inspired by people like az nas masta ace big daddy kane and rakim.

I can definitely hear the LL Cool J influence in this one. The influence is “It gets no Rougher”. This is Em at 16?!? Started really good and somehow steadily got better and better…unheard of.

It's a song he wrote about proof. That guy from D12 that got shot and killed. It was also his best friend. And best friend growing up in the one who convince him to start rapping. He wrote this song pretty recently after he passed. And you can hear the pain in his voice. Definitely a very sad song.
