If you would only listen to the song you could think that it's eminem talking about all his insecurities before getting on stage (the ammo and guns would be his voice and bars respectively), but once you see the video, you also see that he's talking from the shooter's perspective

he himself dealt with it, when proof died in 2007/2008 he almost died of an OD, he was depressed and high on drugs all the time. Hence why he was out of the picture, to come back in 2009 on the FOREVER SONG with drake.

I'll tell you what I learned. Go to AA meetings and get a sponsor to help you navigate. And take it one day at a time or one hour/minute at a time if need be. Get you a hobby of some kind. You should stay away from triggers like people, places and things. Its a whole lifestyle change but you can do it. And good luck bro.

I was addicted to weed, I smoked to eat, sleep, have fun, deal with issues of my every day Life, and just because I had nothing else BETTER to do with my TIME. One day I lost my job and I was just sitting there with 750 to my name looking at my daughter and I said enough was enough. My addiction had me broke and misplaced I was not the same person I was growing up. So I stopped cold turkey on December 4 2018, April 2019 I joined the army I left may 13 2019 completed my training came back home of course I made the mistake of choosing national gaurd over active. I finished training graduated on September 25th 2019 now I'm back home and I smoked a lot since I been back, I feel like I let everyone down, for the last few weeks I been clean still on the right track to being clean for good and setting my family up for the future. What I'm trying to say is everyone is addicted to something just don't let that addiction take over your life mentality, physically, or financially. It's ok to have a drink or two do it in moderation and with your friends never drink by yourself, it causes over drinking. I don't know if I'll ever be able to stop smoking for good but I Know one thing for sure it doesn't run my life anymore. Get a work out plan going for yourself start running after work every other day so you don't have time to drink then the days you're not working out go out with some friends, maybe start looking for a spouse that can hold you accountable. But I could talk about addiction all day good luck and may whatever you believe in bless you and guide you through becoming not dependant.

From someone that lost his father to alcohol I wanna salute you💪🏻stay strong.and remember about the people within your circle that love you more than think. I also think having a feeling of urgency may help. Meaning obsessing over the reason of why you shouldn’t drink and or smoke. 💯

Most Medicine have listed as side effects what they are supposed to help with/cure because if medicine does not help they will not be legally liable for advertising wrong facts. But yeah Benzodiazepines have more serious effects and wont help everybody and sometimes even make things worse. The reason it is not made a big deal when it comes to Mass shootings is because most of the population is uninformed and tends to jump to conclusions. If we were to make a big deal out of mass shooters using/abusing Benzodiazepines it would cause 2 Problems: 1. People would want to make them illegal because they "cause" mass shootings (which they do not). Specific kinds of Drug Addicts are just prone to crime and Violence. After all it is a mental illness and most of the times a side effect of another psychological issue that the addict has, itself. The Problem with making Anti Depressants illegal is: a) It would take away the legal medicine from people who need it. Most people who are prescribed Benzos have no problems, you just only hear about the ones who have. And b) Making drugs illegal never helped keeping them away from People. Most (if not all) statistics show an increase in drug use percentage since they were illegalized. 2. People would probably start to associate depression, schizophrenia etc. with violence and view mental illness more as a threat and less as an issue and it is very important (at least from my moral standpoint) to help these people and make it less of a thing to be shamed for. After all 50% of people in my home country (Germany) seek psycholgical help e.g. Therapy, seeking a Psychiatrist etc. at least once in their life. So that would be a large quantity of people being demonized. Sorry i didn't want this to turn into an essay when i started it. I just got carried away. What i wanted to say is that this toppic is more complex than you make it seem. Most of the time it is not about Big Pharma, lobbyists etc. You can rightfully have your opinion but i just wanted to tell you my views. Have a nice Day my friend. ^^

Yo suicidal thoughts and depression have nothing to do with mass shootings. Depression kills your motivation, it doesnt give you the energy to plan a mass murder. I agree big pharma is problematic but you're misattributing the cause. Correlation does not equal causation. Every consider that they were doped up on different kinds of meds because it's easy to make money off the insurance and the concatenated effect of their preexisting problems and all the drugs does something to their mind? It's not just antidepressant and that's the answer. It's way more complex than youre making it out to be

@@ILikeCHEEZ9 No doubt it's not just the antidepressants chemicals taken over time, and or a used can change a person that's why family's who have known the person forever are the first to see the signs, and someone having the energy to kill themself can dam sure have enough to kill multiple people then themselves while on meds/antidepressants. Some of those people will take meds to give themselves energy... So I'm not buying they dont have enough energy when they have enough to kill themselves. Again 37 mass killers were on antidepressants. Most being the more known individuals, and you add that some allready had mental illness ticking timebombs. Then there are tons who were just mental which they should have been had laws on keeping guns safely locked up if you have one of these people in your family they were easily getting guns from family members easy peasy no locks nothing grab and go. Definitely laws need to change, but in a way where you dont also hurt the people who need guns for protection like people living in the rural areas to people who live in the hood and do the right things in life. Some rural areas take up to 30 mins for a police response, and some hoods the police cant help until enough backup is there sadly people die by then.

I can count a few times where new antidepressants have hit the market and they market them as safe for kids to use too and then later say they are only for adult use. America has a war with legal drugs coming.
