Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Stooges. What do they all have in common? Critics HATED their music. For those who don't know their Rock and Roll history all 3 of those bands that I mentioned have influenced numerous other Rock bands and created numerous sub-genres. So when people bring up critics to prove Eminem's music quality is poor, Critics have gotten it wrong about 3 of the most influential bands in Rock and Roll history. Because critics can't predict the future. They can't see what culture will be like 50, 60, 70 years from now. The first Black Sabbath album STARTED HEAVY METAL and critics HATED it. Led Zeppelin is basically the reason for FM radio and critics hated them too. The Stooges (who are from Detroit) were panned worse than both of them and ended up in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010. If you asked any of those critics in 1969 if The Stooges would be in the RRHOF they would think you're on a cocain binge or something. I say all that to say if critics couldn't get Black Sabbath, The Stooges and Led Zeppelin right there's is NO WAY they are gonna get Eminem right.
