If you're expecting lean-sipping children's music, that ain't it. If you're looking for woke ass conscious music, that ain't it. It's just a story of his life and how his music worked as a venom suit to all of us Eddie Brock's. anyways, everybody is entitled to their opinions.

@Matthew McWilliams what's bad about venom? It has a good old school type beat. It tells a story. It has excellent flow and killer rhyme schemes. His use of homophones is outstanding and the hook is catchy.

@Matthew McWilliams The flow is dope af. He hits unusual pockets and the repeating parts like ,li li li like is to represent the way his music takes possession of you as visualized in the mv. And that knock knock let the devil in is one of the coldest openings I've heard. The meaning behind it is how he's infected millions with his music. It starts at the beginning before he was even signed and goes all the way to present day...and he doubled entendred that with the movie. It's an excellent song imo.

Here's my take on it: The track is connected to the nice guy track. Its basically all one big song. Its intention is to explore the dichotomy of pretending to be a "nice guy" and being an actual "good guy." It is a commentary about what is considered typical masculinity. Being a "nice guy" doesn't intrinsically make you a "good guy" and a large portion of women may say "where have all the good guys gone?" When the reality is that many of us don't want that "good guy" deep down. We want the "bad boy," the one that gets our tingles going, which is another aspect that is explored. Its a look at how the guy that pretends to be "nice" is a bit less scathed by the relationship than the actual "good guy," that ends up getting totally shit on. That's the entire point of Nice Guy and Good Guy done in a funny way using dark humor to get the main points across. The thing is, is that em does stuff like this all the time and people don't even realize the message they're actually receiving bc he makes swallowing it more palpable to the audience by the way he presents it. In other words, many will look at these tracks at surface level only and automatically dismiss them even though they received the message subconsciously. Notice she comes up outta a grave? My guess is that it picks up right where nice guy leaves off. The so called "nice guy" thought he killed and buried her but the actual "good guy" gets his ass beat and is killed and buried.

Or maybe he killed her in"nice guy"and then she came back and killed him in"good guy"makes sense since the 2 songs r the same but kinda backwards u know

I'm saying at the end of Nice Guy he thought he killed her and buried her, but she wasn't dead. And of course it's pointing out how both the male and female can be assholes. Also, this entire track is a double entendre for the rap game imo.
