All his songs arent for everyone, but he super versatile and Im sure we could find you a few tracks you'd enjoy. To add to your point, EM would 100% rap for free, he has lyrics saying if it was about the money he would've quit by now.

Old School Hip-Hop this is so refreshing because I'm you guys' age and I feel I had felt the same way about Eminem my entire life pretty much. I've been a fan of Hip Hop since the conception and when I saw that first Slim Shady my name is crap I thought that he was a gimmick. Which is strange because obviously I heard all the Banger hits and they sounded audibly pleasing but I never paid attention to the lyrics. so I wrote him off for the most part until the Revival album came out and I actually listened to the actual lyrics in the complex language schemes and metaphors and similes and double entender's and homophones and onomatopoeas, ECT.. I could go on for days but there is never been anything like this cat in Hip Hop he is the poet of Our Generation. I think the reason a lot of people felt the way you did before, is because they were focused far too much on what he was saying, rather than how he was saying it. The technical skill, rhyme schemes, the bars, all of that greatness has always been there, but people ignored it because the stuff he was saying was so out there. Fam, there's a reason why guys like Big Sean, Joyner, Logic, Kendrick and Cole cite Em as an influence.
