Him quitting rap had nothing to do with Eminem, while his punk rock music may be mediocre u can’t say it’s not successful as fuck and quite appealing to the mainstream
I mean honestly his new stuff is leagues better than his old stuff. I actually really like the direction he's going in rn. Keep in mind that even in the 2000s, pop punk releases weren't widely appreciated, a lot went overlooked and some were even hated. It's easier to look back on those hits now and like them, but we can't hold new releases to the same standard in the same way in my opinion because it's a different cultural period. What mgk is doing now is some very generic ass shit, but as someone who could give less of a shit about the artist I find his new stuff fun. Melon absolutely dumping on mgk for tickets to my downfall was pretty funny, a little disappointing, but ultimately it will help mgk (if he gives a shit about what his critics say) make better stuff.
@@chiarosuburekeni9325 so basically he’s saying that the video has a duration of approximately 6 minutes, and contains Fantano, in which he can be seen letting his guard down and also showing his real feelings about Eminem.
@@nothisisthekrustykrab5117 which is stupid to say because it's 1000% apparent that Melon has hated everything Feminem has done since like 2000 or 2002 🙄
Just a heads up Bill, Binge got absolutely decimated by everyone on RU-vid. And it did less than 25k first week even with people reviewing it. He probably said less words than my 5 page college paper before graduation.
TREY XIII I read a comment saying that Eminem said more words in THE RINGER than MGK said throughout Binge(not including repeated words and there’s a shit ton)
“MGK is probably gonna respond, i mean what else does he have going for him ? He’s probably not very busy. Certainly isn’t busy making any hits” LMAOOOOOO DAMN 😂 chill
@Yanisel Garcia acting is much more lucrative. There is no such thing as bad publicity and way more people know about mgk now than they did before the eminem stuff, and his musical talent is limited anyway, he knew what he was doing...
@@justanothertinypartofthisi4651 I mean, u say he's opinion doesnt matter yet u're still talking abt how he gave kamikaze a negative review 2 YEARS LATER. I dont mind u liking the albums and I get melon nor other ppl's opinion on a certain music doesnt matter that much, but that's not what I see on Em's fanbase (not just Em's, dont get me wrong) whenever melon doesnt give it a positive review. Idk, It kinda seems like they really care
No bro are you serious? The day em made it was 1998😅 This guys opinion doesn't mean shit I find it hilarious you would take it seriously in even the least just cause he talks and acts like he knows everything😅 He speaks on extremely subjective shit as if its factual. Start thinking for yourself bro...its a great thing trust me
Eminems album went numba one in 34 countries he doesn't need attention. MGK just shot to save his career and really didn't get the views or attention to save it.
@@apurvashanker nah he's fallen off guy. hasn't been a good album since Relapse and I understand that MMLP2 came out 5 ago I thought it was average. I think he should retire before it becomes a full on Russ situation where all he gets is hate and it tarnishes his legacy
Admirał Hax Eminem is saying that MGK thinks that he is old and washed up but even his new stuff in this low point of his career is doing better than everything MGK has ever done
Eminem has talked about himself, his mom, his ex and even Dre in a quote unquote disrespectful way so what hope does anyone have to "diss" EM. Hallie is his only button and you can only press it once. Rest in piss MGK.
There are other things like his failed group d12, most people on his label fading into irrelevency, him 'selling out' to get grammys. His dependence on Rihanna to get no. 1s. So, he can be dissed, mgk just couldn't.
@@adityalahiri4529 those points are stupid. D12 had a great first album and the group fell apart when proof died. His label going into irrelevancy is kinda true but that's because he's not signing artists who he hopes are going to be mainstream hits. And the other bigger artists are just fading away because that's what happens. And even tho I wish he didn't use Rihanna he can still get no 1 hits without her or other pop artists. E.g. this song right here
@@herebyhereby2874 was going to answer the guy, but you did it very well. About the artists fading away, its actually a diss to Shady Records as a company than to Eminem as a rapper, right? The Rihanna part and ignoring Proofs death are just absolutely ignorant things to do
Weird. Killshot isnt brutal at all. Fantano was overly enthused and seemed to be reading from a script that Shady Rec prepared. At first I thought he was being sarcastic about the mountain/molehill line, which is a trash fucking line.
Nice review definitely explained the diss, but I’m not too much of a fan of you explaining how bringing back slavery would improve the US economy and lower debt
Sell in case your not being sarcastic It's a running joke in theneedledrop comments where people mention Anthony saying and doing really tasteless and extreme things that he didn't really say
That was one of the most brilliant scenes in both the show and the book. Oberyn should've been the victor in that, but his hubris ultimately got him killed. And basically that was the ironic thing is neither of them really won the trial by combat but technically it went to the Mountain, dying of an extremely brutal poison, with Oberyn's head, skull and teeth shattered into about countless pieces and fragments of bone, sinew and flesh.
I remember MGK saying that diss was the only good one from kill shot on the breakfast club, but saying the rest of the song was trash. The only way that line could hit hard is if it’s true, so he basically exposed himself
Great vid Melon, but I didn’t really like that part where you started singing the Chinese national anthem, tried to make us buy HuaWei phones so that “the Party can keep a benevolent eye out for you”, denied the oppression of Tibetans, and then started screaming 毛主席万岁. Other than that, 10/10
That line flew over a lot of your heads, it’s a reference to one of Eminem’s old songs where he said that people with weird beards go to the mountain tops and are clowns
J F it's because of the fader slam piece a while back, people always make jokes about him being racist/bigoted/saying obviously terrible things because the fader actually did that for no reason
Hey melon nice review, but the whole rant on 9/11 being a necessary evil to progress society was a bit radical for a music review channel don’t you think?
I think Killshot perfectly encapsulates how simplicity is key. Eminem needs to make stuff like this for his next record. Simple, dont get too over technical and try to rhyme every syllable cause you end up not saying anything
@@meza189 have you heard the end of Not alike? "blabbbity blah blah i rap fast" - The reason Eminems early albums were incredible is because he rapped to an insane technical level while telling stories and using insane rhyme schemes while you were actually able to hear what he was saying without reading wtf he was saying on rap genius. Ever since Rap God Eminem thinks rapping fast is what made the song so popular, and that was one of the reasons why, but he did it over and over to the point where every white kid who says "mumble rap bad" tries to say that rapping fast makes you incredible. Literally anyone can rehearse a bunch of dumb rhymes that say nothing and rap it fast over a beat. Darkness is a good example of Eminem recently making something of substance without trying to impress the "lyrical miracle" crowd. He told a story, and the entire song was a double entendre
@@tedthecommenter5364 First and foremost, most white rappers are TRASH, it's not EMs fault they all follow his lead shfm. Did you only listen to the end of the song or are you too stupid to comprehend the rest of it? What is it with you morons critiquing EMs work but completely dismissing his best attribute, which is battle rap. Lmao do you even know why rappers rap fast? It's to show off lyrical prowess and if you know hip hop then you would know eminem doesn't just do it because it's "cool" he was becoming outdated after recovery with rappers like tech. He's with the times and anybody who knows the craft, like me, knows that rapping fast IS a skill regardless of what you think, it's been around since rap first started and if you think everytime em raps fast he isn't saying anything then you are too stupid to comprehend. MTBMB Is a whole double entendre. The album from top to bottom is littered with doubles and triples accompanied by rhyme schemes only top tier rapper could only dream of pulling off. Funny how fantano literally picks out a couple bars that he thinks are corny then proceeds to dismiss 90% of the rest and his fans are just as annoying if not more annoying as stans. Gtfoh
Drink Me it’s an overused and shit meme where people say that fantano did something inappropriate even though he didn’t because of the exaggerations about the alt right comments that fader made to him. if you want my advice, don’t do it if you’re a sensible person with an at least one brain cell.
5:07 This line was amazing! The best line from all of Kamikaze was from The Greatest where he said something along the lines of “You know you made it when platinum sales are looked at as a failure.” He might be at the lowest of his career but he is still top tier.
Cal just hit me on the text I just left my tendies on his desk Wait? Melon dissed me I'm perplexed Says Kid Cudi is trash, then Kids See Ghosts is a 10! Damn, I'm really sorry about that non vegan snack, was watching Shawn Cee reviews back to back Finally got to comment back and here's a LIKE, I left it on your Revival RANT! Melon, melon, Son Listen, Thicc, I'm not mad.. But how you gonna call yourself healthy, prick If you're looking so damn juicy thicc! Reactions flood, damn bud, insurmountable, supplying subs, upper lip got the sickest fuzz Say you not a fan of Em but you lying though! Couple reports from stans got you demonetized bro! You're review got the comments saying DAMN, but before you stand, let's see who can teach Drake to be a dad. With your sickest teeth *melon smiles* Ouch Melon Ooh! But my teeth are dope I'm still out-brushing you! Now let's talk about something we should probably discuss Your MBDTF review really caused quite the fuss But you're a flipping vegan, time to make a carnivore out of you!
Adidon in my opinion is the 2nd greatest of all time. before you shit on that opinion most diss tracks are just insults about how much someone sells or looks or regular kinda stuff. Pusha T went hard at Drake and pretty much exposed all his dirty laundry. #1 diss track is still Ice Cubes No Vaseline
@@jwdib5761 nope. Ik fantano basically hates em pf all his recent shit. But doesnt mean u have to dislike or like something just cause fantano doesnt or does. Thats called a sheep follower. Have ur own take on it. Lol. And dont attack me. Im just saying
Juan Barahona that’s why I asked u if u were new here cuz I was obviously kidding... his comment section on his videos are always filled with lots of sarcastic comments and Eminem is actually my favorite rapper so lol
@@jwdib5761 i personally dont like the way melon speaks on em. But hey of he respects em and defends his work then i'll give it a pass. If i sense some critic words...then i just wont agree lol
Anthony, Loved the review! but why did you go into a rant about why communism is the next step in evolution? anyway other than that I'd give this review a light 7
You know Em went hard when even Fantano is loving it LOL!! Did you see the joy coming out of this man after listening to the song? RIP MGK, you won't be missed :D
Eminem diss was good in lyrics but everything else sucked ass . Most Eminem fans are little white boys that hate trump and hop on the bandwagon to fucking hate mgk . Eminem fans made new accounts to dislike the mgk diss , it was so gucking pathetic . Not to mention I can never have the same respect for Eminem after he brings politics into a music video .
Plot Dot How did everything else suck? His flow, the way he rode the beat, the cadence swithes and aggressive delivery........ not to mention the bars......... everything was on point dumbass. Rap Devil, on the other hand, was one of the most basic, unskillful songs I've ever heard lol.
i love how unbiased and objective anthony is. he'll rip em to absolute shreds and then next minute he's calling him a legend and saying mgk is shit on his shoe and reacting like this 1:54 to his song
Em directly responding to MGK's disses reminded me of the end of 8 Mile where he tosses papa doc the mic and says "Here tell these people somethin they don't know about me"
I actually like mgk because I enjoy post hardcore and the tracks I've heard sample a lot of post hardcore bands. However his disses felt pretty weak, more of Em's landed
One has to despise Eminem to say Eminem loss this battle. Only thing MGK won is the attention that came with it, but now its time to wrap it up. Its over.
The fact that MGK got bodied so fucking hard and then proceeded to worm his way into making the most generic sounding pop punk music and is now headlining music festivals and getting promoted the hell out of by the industry is just a little bit infuriating
And what exactly happened? To be fair, they dropped pretty hard. It was an unfortunate tragedy. However, that doesn't mean you can't joke about it. You can joke about anything. Uptight idiots like you would rather bar memories of everything terrible and make people forget. We should joke about this kind of stuff. Joke about death. If you don't the fear of it will become crippling.
I love Anthony, I love Eminem. Whenever I see Anthony put up a video on Eminem I fucking hold my breath throughout the whole video. This video was such a relief.
