His most slept on album. The majority of songs on here are fantastic, but I think its not included in his best album conversation just because it has no “viral hits” like his other albums have. Solid 8/10 album imo

@@tj54441 Infinite isn't so much underrated as it is "underknown". People don't dislike Infinite, but a lot of people don't know about it or haven't gotten into it. Relapse on the hand is known, and was widely and loudly disparaged and disliked upon release. Even though it's actually great. So yeah. Relapse is the more underrated. Because people actually vocally disliked it.

You definitely need to react to the "The Warning" Eminem, it is the track that shut Mariah up. Eminem had songs insinuating he had a sexual relationship with Mariah, but in interviews Mariah denied it, she was married to nick cannon. She claimed Eminem was obsessed. So in a concert Eminem played a few voicemails

I fucking love this album from start to finish. The beats are unique yet can see the inspiration of classic Dre type sound throughout. Lyrically, flow , and delivery is elite. Love it.

Its definently a grower especially since how long it had been since we got an Em album at that time....so the accents didnt do him no favors. But he has some great tracks over this album "deja vu" I think is great, being a father and former addict myself..Beautiful, 3am, wide awake and my darling. But after Relapse it wasnt much Dre productuon except here and there..I think not having Dre this past decade for the most part has just fucked his sound up..Ems production hasn't been good since 2003 so he cant do everything on his own

I hated the album when it came out hated the accents but like 5 years later I started listening again and it’s my favorite Eminem album now. The flows word bending is insane. Dre on the beats is crazy too

Great reaction, and the Nick Cannon beef came from Mariah Carey denting that her and Em has a fling so Em kept lightly mentioning her and than Nick involved himself because he was married to her and than Mariah did a Em did song Obsessed after Bagpipes from Bagdad, than Eminem did his Mariah diss The Warning basically telling Mariah to stop running her mouth or he will release pics and voicemails of her, and so Mariah shut up for a very long time, but nick came back a year later with a insanely trash Em diss that didn’t even deserve a response

On Same Song and Dance, Eminem's serial killer persona is also a metaphor for drug addiction. The victims are celebrities who had drug issues at the time, similar to him. The "song and dance" is their helpless struggle to escape the addiction. It's definitely an odd and unsettling song, but I personally think it's the best song on the album.

Relapse is a grower and I didnt even really care for it when I bought it 10 years ago..but seriously if he had just cut the accents out it wouldve been better recieved..because personally "Deja vu" is a great track I relate, myself being a former addict..3am, underground, crack a bottle, wide awake, beautiful, and my darling really made this album worth listening to.for an album after a 4 year hiatus from the rap game ain't as bad as I intentionally thought.
