This is the first review that actually acknowledges that’s this is his new music, and you actually break it down and listen to the song, he’s 45, been off drink and drugs for many years now( which imo is amazing) so he’s not gonna be rapping the same shit that he was in the early 2000’s. This album is spot on, all songs have some sort of meaning in them, lyrically he’s impeccable. I look at all his albums as journey of his life, how far he’s come from infinite, and is still dropping mad songs.
the best reaction ive seen. most people hate the album because its not the "right beats", but like u guys said, dude gave a bit of everything for everyone while laying straight bars across the board
jbcreate a lot of bars were corny thou man and the album was all over the place. The pop rap tracks were not good at all, the features didn't do anything to add to the album, and the content of the album was so weak. I enjoyed 5 to 6 tracks, so I didn't find it horrible, but definitely one of his worst projects.
But at the end of the day these guys aren't music critics, so they just gonna listen to the music at a very surface level and only care about if the music sounds good to their ears
Donald Trump just because you like an album doesn't mean it's good. Those things you said you don't mind are what make a rap album bad and this albunm was really bad, but if you enjoyed it then that's all that matters
Donald Trump I respect opinions, but I find those people really annoying who don't believe in straight facts. If music was totally subjective no album would be better than another and that's just bullshit. A Lil Pump can create a mindless album and a Kendrick can create a TPAB and some people are gonna sit there and tell me TPAB isn't subjective then gtfo of here. So by keeping what I just said in mind, this is a horrible Eminem album by his standards. This album is all over the place and lyrics were very surface level and a little too corny.
Mo Naqvi lol and just because YOU dont like an album doesnt make it bad 😂 just follow your own advice man. and like said before, ems been saying corny shit his whole career. hes a jokester, he throws silly lines for the fuck of it, and when hes not hes reminding us why. the album isnt for everyone, and it would be impossible to. just like what 1/3 of this album is about, he is an artist, this is his growth. he's not gonna go back to being shady to please some people. hes finally in a good place. the content is great, executing is lacking in some songs for me. to each his own tho
The_other_black_guy agreed. I dont think Untouchable is an official single tho. Should have kept that track and "Walk in Water underwraps and dropped" River" as the lead single. But what do i know haha
Untouchable is straight 🔥 when I first listened to it , I was like idk.. But then I listened to it with studio headphones and it's Fucking insane. The instrumentals, lyrics, beat change up, theres just so much going on in the song that you can't hear without good quality headphones.
The_other_black_guy Naw between that and Heated probably the worst track on here. After about five *Black Boy Black Boy's" ain't nobody tryna hear that throughout a track from Em...not even the beat switches could save it
-Sir WESLEE- I didn't say it was good lol. But it Fits. Like going from chloroseptic to that flowed well musically. But like the guy said it has little to 0 replay value. I disagree about heat, that shit had me rolling it was hilarious
you guys always have the best reactions lol. also, chloraseptic is Em making fun out of mumble rappers, which explains the 'music please' and his flow just before it.
I saw that alot of people took that Eminem's chloraseptic like it was an actual attempt on the type of song , it was a comical making fun of them type song lol
he said "I'll take a hundred of you, I'll take a hundred of you! Destruction is loose", "coming at your throat", he's talking about taking on everybody in the new rap game...lmfao. Also, when the person in the background said "music please", he started flowing. I can now tolerate the song knowing the message.
Revival tracklist should've been: Walk on water Believe Untouchable River Revival Interlude Like Home Bad Husband Framed Nowhere Fast Offended In Your Head Castle Arose Short, not much filler, straight to the point...
It’s so nice to hear a review/reaction that isn’t just some dude expecting bangers the whole time. Yall really comprehend the music and dissect it and stay unbiased. I’m subscribing for sure, keep doin yall thing
Best reaction. I am a stan, eminem is no longer a rebellious kid, no more drugs. He is 45 years old, there is no artist of his age that makes so much success. It is a fact that the career will decline but it is still Eminem. And I loved the album.
Musically, this album is a piece of pop/rock shit. This album sucks. The worst from Eminem musically. (Except : Believe, Framed, Chloraseptic, and the last ones Castle, Arose)
You know king of kings, I'm french and I actually learning english but i can't understand at 100% what eminem says in his lyrics. I'm sure he's still one of the best lyricist but honestly, an album like this in 2017, i'm disappointed. Maybe the delivery is good, but the flow is always the same (yelling or like rap god) and he can't stop screaming while rapping. If Trump wasn't passed, maybe he won't have made an album like this. It looks like his last album. For example, why did he uses "Zombie" from the cranberries ? Or "I love rock n roll" Is it really the kind of proper beats for Eminem ? I don't think so, and Rick Rubin... no comment lol... Where is the originality seriously ? And why did he always uses women voices for chorus ? He wants to make pop rap ? Okay ! But he will lose a lot of his fanbase. Recovery was okay, MMLP2 was great, but Revival... no ! Eminem, I don't think I'm your fan anymore. R.I.P Slim Shady :/
Good review, cheers. You guys actually bother to listen to it fully and take it all in and give a fair review (unlike alot of others i have seen) Keep up th good work. I really like the album, better than MMLP2 imo
I'm 45 years old , I been an em fan since 1998 ...and I must say I love it , people has to understand he's grown and has new issues...over all I'm very satisfy I give it 🎤🎤🎤🎤 out of 5 mics ....I really enjoy you guys even though your young you know your music .....keep up the good work nefews ...unk joe g
MattyMuffins as if eminem never said some ridiculous shit in his past. Have you not listen to "fack" its a whol song about stick shit up your ass and nasty shit.. Eminem will still murder rappers lyrically
9/10 he just had such a nice "Final Bow" throughout the album especially the last two songs which made me love the album even more. This is Raw art and emotion 🐐
It's refreshing to know that there are intelligent people listening to intelligent music and enjoying it. That explains the negative reviews now....For real, for real, I couldn't figure out what I was missing, or what was wrong with the album. I thought it was great. But seen all the negative reviews and shit. Nice to know there's people still listening to music the right way. Thank you guys for that. Liked and subbed.
Well, I should say listening to certain music the right way. I don't need multiple replays to break down Lil Pump's new song. You won't catch me rewinding Lil Uzi's shit. Or flipping out over that bar that XXXtentacion just spit.
Shoutout from uk Framed is my favourite track off the album but castle and arose are classics! check out my 2 tunes on my channel let me know what you think
Ben Oliver Wayne although I hate people who unfairly disliked the album, this guy just said a minor critique. He said he loved it. Calling him a fuckboy wasn’t necessary.
Exactly. Eminem is still the best lyricist ever but some of these producers didn't give the right ...yanno. Dr. Dre should've done this if this was really his last one.
I think he's setting up for a grand finale in terms of his music, that's when Dr. Dre will help and maybe even have a feature that self-reflects on the teamwork they did throughout the career. Maybe even hearing the curtains close after the mic drops for the last time in the last song as the outro...its what I do tbh
That last bit is why I love this new em. That phoenix coming from the ashes in real life moment can be seen in the emotion and architecture of every song. He colored with some new crayons but also showed us he’s still a master of the old crayons. In the end, the whole picture was beautiful. Fire album.
Man YOU GUYS KNOW MUSIC I thought young people only liked some guy saying gucci gang or whatever You guys know art so you just not only got a new sub but a new follower Good looks from Portugal
Great reaction fellas! Nice to see young generation is still listening to the message and not just the beats!! This is Eminem best work as a song writer! Definitely a shame Dr.Dre wasn't part of this production! I read of some involvement on the audio engineering side of master mix, not the beats... he's still a "Rap God" .....he'll make anything sound good
Been listenin' to Em since I was 12 (I'm 1990.) and it's like you said "when you love so much someone (and for so many years) he\she becomes like a family member" so you'll keep it real :D I'm a die-hard fan, and I'm down with, like 90% of his songs, just because he is that good, not because I'm biased ;) Your review is the only one that I left with a positive impression. And I see you're younger (at least younger than me) and I haven't met many young people that vibe or get wired to Em. I really appreciate your (awesome) review and thank you for making such good-quality content; it's great seeing that Em's influence is not left in the past ♥
Good review, guys. I liked this album for mostly similar reasons. My favourite’s Offended cus reminded me of the Slim Shady persona a lot cus you can tell he’s having fun with the flows and it’s a homage to all the controversy he had making fun of people i.e. Trump and his punchlines are hilarious reading back on it. “I’m so narcissistic, when I fart I sniff it, do a fake dab to smell my armpits with it” 😂😂
Y’all earned a new subscriber. This is the first reaction I’ve watched that makes sense. You guys actually listen to the lyrics and appreciate what Eminem tried to do. You aren’t afraid to say what you didn’t like but you at-least get it. Keep up guys, can’t wait to see your other reactions and future reactions #respect
Excellent review guys! Was fun to watch your genuine reactions. Wish I had friends like u guys I could just sit in the car and vibe to new music. Love from Norway!
Complex Ambition thank you guys for this. This review has the most in-depth look into the complexity of the songs and their meanings. You guys are way ahead of the times. s So many in our generation scare me with the things they share on yt and other sites for all of the impressionable young people to watch. It's so refreshing to know that your generation is not totally fucked by being overrun with superficial, immature, self serving, self entitled, self proclaimed critics who seem to only spread ignorance to others who soak it up as truth. Thank you for being real and capable of grasping the complexities that lie in the lyrics and willing to see beyond the beat
A lot of people saying this shit is trash because they don’t understand that em is a lyrical genius and lot of people who say it’s trash don’t like how he took a stan being white and talking about the bad shit going on in the world with minority’s blacks whites need to band together to make America great
Love that someone actually listened to the album fully without listening to others opinions beforehand. You gave it a real chance and I greatly appreciate that. Hate the overall review Revival was given. A bunch of real lyrics went over peoples heads.
I don't get why people hate on this album. Its cringey to address real fucking issues? Who is actually out there that is up there with him right now? Lil fucking potato Uzi Pump 😂
he always had a message and the mature part starts in the last songs, he nailed it, he reviewed his life like a master would doing it at the end of mastering a talent, now its time that he has to start to produce or teach someone else more beginner and he feels that he needs now inspiration from untouched pure unpolluted talent which can boost his visions, his wisdom and put the cubistic pieces of music together in a new form. I think he got bored of mainstream music did it to often, which is understandable but never of message and experimental approach.Eminem put up his monument and is ready to share his light not with the whole world anymore but those who are on his level of understaning.Enlightening album.Great to have this on the planet.A message of integrity and character.
the album is fire..everybody judged it waaaaaaaay too quick... just like recovery...people hated that album At first..and he won a grammy and now looking back it had not afraid space bound seduction 25 to life love the way you lie no love ft Wayne.....the albums great..he's always been cheesy...he's always talked politics...he's always sung..done rock..done pop..look at every single album from slim shady lp
Nice reaction guys I love this album bcs this shit is just classic eminem man, some hated this album and idk why, but for me this album is 🔥!! Em please keep spitting fire for your fans
THE ALBUM WAS GOOD NOT GREAT BUT AMAZING ON THE MESSAGE EM IS A GOD AND PEOPLE WHO DON'T LIKE HIM BATTLE HIM AND GET SON'D RESPECT THE THRONE HIM KENDRICK AND JOYNER
Like you said, Walk on water and Untouchable didn't flow at all, even though they were good songs. But listening to the full album, it flowed all together and each song was a little different. I love it, definitely gonna have hits on the radio
Props, if you dont think some of these songs are the best em songs hes ever done, ur crazy! Some of these are legendary. Great reaction glad the youth is still paying attention to the music.
Now one of my favorite people, not just youtubers, y'all are some dope ass guys.. where can I find your ig's? Great video subscribed and turned on notifications. Keep working!
Noah Tone I completely agree they would be people I would love to chill with. I can't find a lot real genuine people now a days so it's amazing to see some of that very type of person actually speaking and sharing that view with others. I wish there were more people with morality, sharing publicly rather than all of the thousands of people spreading ignorance that the young people take as truth
In Revival, while Eminem came back with introspection (Walk on Water), emotional story-telling (Castle\Arose), rap skills (Believe\Offended) and brings back his famous alter ego, Slim Shady (Framed), the rapper tries too hard to appeal to a large audience instead of doing what he became loved for: Not giving a fuck. Indeed, there are way too much "mainstream" songs (River, Like Home, Bad Husband, Nowhere Fast, Need Me) on the album. Plus, it's hard to believe that meaningless tracks like "Remind Me" and "Heat" and failed songs like "Untouchable" and "Chloraseptic" made the final cut. At the end of the day, Revival comes out as a very incohesive project in which are still a few pearls showing why the 45 years-old rapper became a legend more than 15 years ago.
lazyman1128: PHRESHER's hook is straight trash. Plus, Eminem keeps a boring flow for the majority of the song (especially the 2nd verse) and that's when it's not triplets. I understand the goal is to mock some new era rappers, but if I don't like their sound, I don't see how I will like it to hear it coming from him, regardless of the intention behind. Finally, the lyrics are more suited for a freestyle than a song. Even though the song isn't perfect, "Believe" is a way better song showing that Eminem can successfully rap on a trap beat. Therefore, Chlorasceptic, should've never made the final as it is at least.
Lol I loved every track on the album. Idk. Maybe it's cause I just have a wide variety of taste in music. I love rock and rap. So the rock beats with the rap was perfect. I don't discriminate! Haha.
Harold Kim: It's fine. At the end of the day, those are just opinions. In fact, I love rock too, I like "In Your Head" and "Castle". I even enjoyed "Remind Me" sonically and "Heat" wasn't that bad. My issue with those last two songs are mostly the lyrics. I don't understand why Eminem makes such meaningless songs. I mean, it's not really funny, creative or touching, it doesn't show is incredible skills in wordplays, so it doesn't present the rapper at his best. Untouchable (1st part) is the only one I dislike mostly because of its sound.
Jglg g Well, Im not gonna argue about humour, it's way too subjective. I think Em lost the sens of humor he had earlier in his career (SSLP, MMLP) and I don't think those tracks are funny. By the way, a lot of the double entendre and wordplays you're talking about come as cringe worthy. Why a lot of people have the share my point of view? Maybe it's because the time has changed, maybe because he's a lot older now and he accustomed people to a more serious version of himself. What's sure is that his humor isn't received as well as it used to be, so a lot of people must have " a giant stick shoved up their ass".
arose and castle are linked together, in arose the part where he rewinds, he rewinds back to the end of the song castle and changes the last verse/ note.
Beautiful album, an amazing fucking reviewal . I loved the songs and so did you all. Congratulations Complex ambition. You just earned yourself a subscriber
Every album ever dropped he has told a story and "Revival" is no different. Some I guess weren't so fond of but this was fire to me. Shit even Lebron' bumping that shit!
