Yh but he just said Imagine Dragons what was the punchline? You can't just say the name of the person and expect that to count as a diss MTBMB Side B had a lot of bs bars like this where they had no fucking meaning. Edit: Bunch of people replying. So lemme just clear this up, I know what double entendre he meant it as. 'Imagine dragin' sounds like 'imagine dragons' the band also he mentions some moe of their songs in the rhyme scheme. I want you to know I heard it. But given the situation where the lead singer called him out for being homophobic it would make sense for Em to diss him. So IF this was a diss it was a shit one. I don't think it was, I think Em was just trying to be clever with a scheme that's all. My overall point is that I thought it sucked. I will be listening to the song, enjoying the fucking beat and his bars and randomly, shit like this gets said and it ruins it tbh. 'I'm going out on a limb... Like a tree climber' is the bs i'm obviously talking about otherwise he's still one of the best mc's around, even the best, i would argue. But a bad bar is a bad bar, no matter how he intended it.
@@user-mm8rb6ly7nyeah gotta gove it to ya, this does come off as one of those defences. Em definitely ain't homophobic but the 'they have X person as friend' thing just makes it out as if all people of a given group think and act the same

Eminem literally CAN'T be canceled, because he's BEEN doing this for years now. He still acts like everything is the same as before and I respect that. I even know a few gay ppl myself and they love his songs
Bro is also best friends with Elton John who has been openly gay for decades at this point. You can’t hate gay people and also be best friends with one
@@lucasvincent3021 Actually you can, sadly. I once read a story about a black woman with a white husband. He called her n word in an argument, which was out of left field. You just can never know someone. But I think Eminem has made it pretty apparent he doesn't really care.
@@VoteBidentoSaveDemocracy frfr, I'm gay asf but I really couldn't be less offended than eminem, sometimes I think that Ally's are more sensitive abt this shit
@@woobharbit’s not basic empathy to get upset over a word someone else is called. That’s called being over sensitive. This is a third party being upset over a joke between em and Tyler. Em is a big fan of Tyler
@@r.g.bjaguar5452 Em is the rapper, Slim is the character Em is portraying. And Marshall is the person behind it all. So when Slim says something edgy or hateful or controversial or whatever, it's on purpose. Em doesn't have to agree with that.
@@Schampu4000come on that’s just a bad excuse to say hateful shit. Eminem didn’t say that against Tyler because he was playing a character. He was mad at him so he called him a slur. It’s simple as that
@@ewest14 That's just how it is though. Slim Shady is just an alter ego. Many musicians have something like that, because their songs would be boring as hell if they actually sang about their real life, which consists of (you guessed it) making music. And of course as a rapper you don't want to seem soft and friendly, you want to seem edgy and standoffish. That's what Slim is. So of course Slim is gonna say slurs, he has in the past, and will continue to. Marshall, on the other hand, is just a guy. A guy with a rough past, but also a guy who gave Elton John diamond encrusted cockrings for his wedding.
Actually he did kinda go out of his way to diss Tyler the creator in that bit, he had a problem with him I forgot what he was but then he released an apology towards him saying he was a bit harsh
Bro you gotta stop 😂😂😂 I can give you 150 subliminals from his entire discography towards multiple artists right now. But I wouldn't have to coz you know them yourself coz you seem to be that guy's fan so you pretty much listen to his music and you clearly are aware of the subliminals in his lyrics. Stop defending that fag. Or wait maybe you just didn't catch those subliminals, in which case that's fine. Everybody might not get it. No offense to you. But yeah full offense to your fav rapper.

So you didn't want him to grow and find more clever and artistic ways to do it. The direct approach has been done. You and everyone who agrees with you is fucking boring. Bet superman is your favorite hero.
I mean imagine dragon dude didn’t really say enough to get the full wrath of em, but yeah 2000s em would have flamed him for a half a verse just for mentioning him lol
Nah Eminem said on a interview that him and Tyler was cool going tour and all that then he got on radio and tweeting saying that sht trash bla bla bla Eminem said bro we just met like imagine your homeboy making fun of you or something front of other people but act loyal to you
Man I’m part of the LGBT and I don’t give a fuck if you call me that crap, it’s a word. I get if you’re offended by it but Em makes his music and that’s his business
We all can, fuck the people who think they can pick and choose what words we can or cant say. You can never censor a person unless youre a liberal media platform or if youre dead.
And what's crazy is that they both collaborated with Lil Wayne. Eminem/Lil Wayne: Drop The World No Love Forever ----------------------------------------------------------------- Imagine Dragons/Lil Wayne: Sucker For Pain Believer (Remix)
Idk man I think they’re just just two respectable artists who draw the “what’s okay” line in different places, they’re allowed to disagree without any disrespect

Did this guy really say he's disappointed because he thought Eminem had a anti-hate message does he not know who Eminem is? He literally made a career off of saying the things you're not supposed to say.
@twolkai real slim shady fans? I know he doesn’t hate gray people but like, man says the f slur so many times in like, the Marshall mathers LP etc. man doesn’t hold back when he was in his prime. You probably don’t remember them though.
@twolkai sorry but that's 100% BS, he just says that so he doesn't take any more shit. The only way his lyrics are anti-hate are when he speaks about race. Homophobia, sexism and rape on the other hand, yeah his response is the same BS every rapper says. "I was born in a different time" "They are just words, it's just a joke, don't be a snowflake" "It's what my fans want to hear" "everyone's out to get me!". Just because some gay people approve of his lyrics, doesn't mean he isn't homophobic, it just means he is talented enough to where his prejudices don't matter to the public. Being debatably the best rapper ever can give you that protection.
as well as dropped one of the most underappreciated lines of his career right after. like "worship D12's balls, you sack-religious" goes hard to this day lol
@@OleMariusHovind okay then what has eminem done to push musical boundaries or attempt anything remotely artistic besides rapping fast and dissing people? (since 2010 of course)
Pro Palestine try not to be homophobic challenge impossible. Also eminem is friends with Elton John and Tyler the creator who he apologized after saying the slur wich he censored in the song.

They still don't learn. Even after seeing a big pile of bodies laying behind Eminem, they still don't learn that no matter what, yiu don't diss Eminem. It's one unspoken rule of music industry.
100.. real Eminem fans know this.. this was just a crazy fuckin bar from the goat.. also could be a small verbal warning as you said just to remind people what he can do with words
He prob did but accepts that it was from a different era where the F slur wasn't thought of as bad to say. He probably dislikes that eminem said it in this era tho
"It's unclear why he said this without addressing the controversy" Because everyone treats Em like a sleeping bear, they poke him to see if he'll respond. In this case, he just showed that he was listening and was aware of the beef, but doesn't give af.
Eminem is known for one thing and that he doesn't hold back that guy has no filter on him and that's why a lot of people live him whether it be his old songs or his new ones
The verse he got called out on in this video was one of the few verses Eminem publicly apologized for, he doesn’t have a filter but neither did Tyler, but ultimately Eminem was in the wrong.
@@gnarlypancake2362Certainly wasn’t in the wrong for quoting Tyler the Creator, who notoriously uses the word. Everybody just likes to bitch about minor things.
@@tylerclarke4829 he wasn’t quoting Tyler, the context was clearly different. The song came out a year after Tyler openly came out on Flower Boy, so he was clearly targeting Tyler’s sexuality. When Tyler used it, it was more of a general insult. (Not defending his use, but he has never called himself that and has stopped using that word after Cherry Bomb, meaning by the time the diss came out he hadn’t used the word since) Of course Tyler used the slur too and that isn’t good at all, but nobody said that him using it wasn’t. The same goes for Eminem, who is notably not homosexual. In that particular situation, Eminem was in the wrong.
Since when do imagine dragons put out good music?? lmaoo they put out pop hits for the radio. If this was 99 em would be dissing them just like he used to diss backstreet and nsync and Christina and everyone else
Yeah Tyler himself said that he didn’t really give a fuck about the diss. But Eminem was wrong for going after Tyler, I mean Tyler literally just criticised some of Eminem’s newer projects. It kinda just came off as childish for Eminem to diss him, especially because Tyler himself says he loves Eminem’s music. Em just can’t take criticism I guess
He may have, what some consider to be, "offensive" messaging in his art... but that's literally the point. It's how he creates his art and always will. His music is meant to make you *feel* something. Good or bad, it invokes an emotional response. And let's not forgot, he actually *does* support LGBTQ+ people. Elton John is his best friend, his mentor, and sponsor and Em has a deep respect for him AND his relationship. I mean, come on... you don't give diamond encrusted, gold c*ck rings as a wedding present for a gay couple, if you are not supportive of gay people... 😂

It’s literally just a shout out. In the same album he apologizes to Tyler for the comment. He also apologized in an interview after the album dropped. He just literally gave them a shout out in the most hidden way possible, possibly because it’s name dropping songs they have with Lil Wayne, and a song with Kendrick Lamar. Radioactive (remix) Kendrick Lamar. Believer (remix) with lil Wayne and sucker for pain ft.Wayne. It’s a respectful shout out. He wanted to fire back, but not draw attention to them, & boost their sales. He did an interview, where he mentions how that is the trade he faces each time.
For the record, Eminem later apologized for the use of that word. Can't remember what he said exactly but he admitted that he shouldn't have used that slur.
