This was recorded around the absolute peak of his drug use before he overdosed and nearly died and you can hear how fkd up he was by his voice. It's so insane that we came so close to losing the GOAT without even knowing it. He's done so well with his sobriety and is still slaying rappers at the age of 50. Kings Never Die 👑
”i gave my vest to Ca$his” Eminem had a level 3 Bulletproof vest that he used to wear around the time during the whole Murder Inc/Benzino feud in 2003. He gave it to Ca$his in 2007.
This song was on the Straight from the Lab 2 mixtape, which is a bootleg compilation that leaked out in 2011. So no, you can't really say it was released because it was leaked.
wtf :)) it's not an album released by Eminem . sorry my friend. it's a compilation and not made by him like curtain call(which is a compilation by him with the best tracks + 3 tracks)
Anyone think Em should make a song where he's switching personalities? Like how everyone says he's Em, Slim and Marshall? Imagine a three verse song where he spits one coming from each persona.
Aries B. Shah thanks, em is the best rapper lyrically. But he is not no. 1. He’s the wordsmith, try to listen to Nas, Andre 3000, Redman, Jada, Tupac, they’re just better to listen to and also strong lyrically but not Em level
Anyone else here after listening to his new song "Leaving Heaven" where he talks about his friends malcom Isaac and boogie taking his bike? Lol real Em fans will know 💯
em is a phenomenal lyricist who paints vivid pictures with his rhymes. You can feel his pain which is why so many people relate to & love Eminem! ALL hail king Mathers the God of rap AKA the G.O.A.T. 😈💨✌️
As the black sheep of my family this track just speaks to me. Now my past is far from as crazy as Eminem’s but being homeless from 15-18 because my family was that bad with money and then all getting mad when I found a job and my own place and basically disowned me for a year definitely puts into perspective how others drag those around them down with them.
First time I've ever heard him mention Kansas City in one of his songs. The majority of his childhood his Mom moved him back and fourth between St. Joe (suberb of KC) and Detroit. Most of his family still lives there.
its crazy when reading the lyrics before hearing the rhythm...its an intensely sad poem. it's so sad. I think rapping about it instead of singing it is what makes one brush of the pain or laugh about it or just feel angry to not sulk in it. a way healing. fuck the ppl who don't see the reality in it are just evil souls. heartbreaking poetry. damn
It was ment to be a studio album but he gave it to nate to listen and someone stole it from his house and leaked it. It's called strait from the vault.
I listened to his stuff from the last 10 years at first but then I got bored so I started looking for older and lesser known stuff and songs like this one are my favorites
