I get so much crap for Em being my hero. This man that I've literally never met in my life helped steer me out of a deadly opiate addiction to the point that even my 71 year old grandfather said just the other day he wished he could meet him just to shake his hand and say thank you, mind you this is a man in love with Hank Sr and hates rap. This was the first Em album that I ever got. My grandmother bought it for me in 4th grade because of his name thinking that it was kid friendly. I loved it. The first song I got acquainted with on the way to Myrtle Beach SC was Sing for the Moment. Still have the album to this day.
I understand completely. I’ll get shamed for having Eminem in my top 3. Not my number 1 but he is UP there. The shit he says has literally everything you want. Make you cry, make you laugh, make you feel shock, make you offended, he’ll make you have different flavors of reactions. There are a few songs that aren’t particularly my favorite but man the way he puts words together...it’s just great. Sure the wordplays are ultimately just puns, but you barely hear any other rapper say puns and make it a hard bar out of it.
What a beautiful comment, I'd legit cry meeting Eminem. I got molested and abused as a kid but i just got my walkman and put this record on, it's therapy when you don't know where to go
I've watched many reaction videos on RU-vid but you two really stood out to me especially on this particular one. The way you both breakdown the lyrics and talk about what was going on in that particular time is really insightful and helpful for those who may not know the history behind the lyrics . You guys are good. #subscribed
Welcome back! It's time for what I consider to be his best old school album. There's only one song on the whole album I skip when I'm listening to it. I can't wait for you guys to do the rest of the album and listen to my favorite song of all time.
Jaime Chavez true but also Ryan is keeping her somewhat supressed in a way by only showing her Eminem stuff I get it that it helps their channel but they should checkout Kxng Crooked, Royce, Joe, Joell, Biggie, PAC, Chris Webby, R-Mean and other stuff since she’s exposed to Eminem the most so far she might be bias and not credit the other rappers, they kinda dabbled on it last week which was cool hopefully they keep at it every 2nd week but the bigger they get the less likely they’d do songs from some of these artists because they don’t bring in views and subs
@@darkneji190 I'm sure that wont happen... Em is Definetly my favorite.. But I appreciate all the other talent past and present (as lil as their is presently) .. And they have plenty og yime to grow their channel and tackle all these MCs... Have you seen Stevie knights channel btw? He's one on my favorite reactors right now.. He dissects bars
Jaime Chavez I see as much reactors as I can I barely watch TV RU-vid it basically my TV lol I’ll definitely check that channel out, thanks for the suggestion Edit: I’ve seen a couple of his videos lol
Eminem wasn't even the first white boy to do/say some controversial or unacceptable shit, just look up GG Allin. Totally different music style, but damn!
Y'all look at eachother like a new couple....still got that sparkle in ur eye.... Wait till she starts misplacing ur socks n drinking all ur beer n see if u still feel that way 😒 Damn happy ppl
eminem has a different ryme scheme for every album so dont try and follow it just accept it as genius lol, in the eminem show he doesnt properly spit u have to wait until relapse until he spits properly. but he is rapping emotionally this album
No if you want to be a rapper learn different flows and rhyme schemes to help you i know it might be a joke but to learn the best is to learn from the greatest much love and relapse is my favorite album ❤
Love that pentameter observation! You two should review the "Earworm" series by Vox. Specifically the Rhyming deconstructed episode. She'd love the breakdown and he will know all the old school rappers.
Being white definitely helped eminem skyrocket in popularity. Sadly, oher GOATs in hiphop would never reach his numbers, but em has more than earned his place in hiphop. The fact that he talked about the racial issues in the position he's in means a lot to black people and the culture, and is something i wish some stans would stop being blind to
