Thats a fact g,...when this shit came out ,i had hit the old play/pause trick, write it down to memorize it....and i did that cause my sister memorized it first 🤣😅
Biggie has the most Swag of any rapper on the Mic 🎤 ever .. when it comes to Swag Biggie is the GOAT 🐐 … Jay is fire 🔥 too but nobody compares to Biggie ..
“Somewhere some kid is lip syncing to this song in the mirror, that’s who I’m doing it for the rest I don’t even care” - Eminem (Fall) You killed it Stevie 👌🏽
Yo this is fucking real. I'm from Sri Lanka and I'm 18 and stan also. I've been listening him since I was 14. Em really hit my heart. I'm still a student and I'm not really good at English, but I listen Em's songs and it helps me to improve my English also. I love his metaphor, double entendre, everything is crazy. I get addicted to it when I listen to his songs. Trust me, I can not sleep at night, can not do school work properly, always humming a song, all I do is youtubing and check out bar breakdowns of Em's songs all day. The worst part is none of my friends really know about him they only know his name,so I don't have anyone to talk about these stuffs man. Em is really influence for me.
@@kavishanmrathnayaka5610 Sounds like you should be in the music industry. Eminem will absolutely teach you the english language lol. And maybe try finding similar artists to eminem to show your friends to ease them into what bars, wordplay and cadence is all about. Explain the songs and how they get you excited/hyped and they may just become fans!
Biggie definitely went to soon. He is in a whole era by himself. Even if you do pac vs big. They are two different people with different styles. There is no comparing two Kings. And then Em. He cant be touched either.
i always liked biggie over other rappers around during that time, he virtually never complained ab0out things...his lyrics were always -G- and relevant to raps swag/culture
If u wont react to CRIMINAL, IM BACK, THE KIDS and DRUG BALLAD by em in a long ass video u will regret for not knowing what shock value is for the rest of ur life :) Edit: My heart is broken :(
M-_-E (MnE) Royce loved eminems dead wrong verse that much he asked Eminem could he use bits of it in renegade Royce got most of his style through studying eminems
This song is what happens when 2 heavyweights jump on the same track , both body there verses , it's just sad we never were able to see this happen in real life , it would have been legendary to see these 2 on songs together
This is one of my favorite songs period. Lil wayne did perfect in this song because he wasn't trying to out rap eminem at all he just rapped in basically his own genre that compliments the song really well.
@Bob Anderson lol.. I you really trying to compare their LYRICAL ability? Pac didn't do doubles, similes or anything like that. Like Public Enemy, his popularity comes from the passion in his words and not the complexity in his rhymes. He's overrated in my opinion.
Nah bro, this is one of them songs where Eminem didn't have the better verse. His punchlines were much weaker in comparison to Biggie's. Biggie got him on punchlines, delivery, cadence, consistency of punchlines, and flow imo.
@@nedmusic1494 Nah, Eminem in his one verse had a better flow(Look at how many songs bite Em's flow on this song, no one is biting Big's on this one) and nothing Biggie said required any peel back, punchlines or consistency of punchlines(why did you type this twice?) Em took this shit with one verse. Biggie did well but he got renegaded
Big was dead when em did this song. These lyrics are from an early never released song and em changed the beat and added his lyrics. here's the original that was produced by Easy Mo Bee: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_terKekNCpA.html peep how old the beat is. This shit is from around the Ready to Die era that didn't make the album. Biggie still ripped this shit cause he's a real MC who Em was a fan of.
I love how you played it like you didn't know every single word and inflection lol I done seen your Renegade video, I know this was your favourite Eminem verse
I will never get tired of BIG vs 2Pac discussions because regardless of who gets your vote, such discussions remind people how great they both were. Inevitably after participating in such a discussion or argument I end up going off in the mood to listen to both of them.
Lyrically Em won, but BIG had me vibing more. This was a good pairing because the song is better for them both having been on there. There are a LOT of Em pairups where the song would have been better if all verses were given to Em.
This was when Em was still new to the game which makes sense why he would not match up to Biggie and to make matters worse Eminem made his verse after Biggie was dead and still couldn't match up lol
And this week please: Phenomenal & Kings Never Die. Do them back to back with official lyric videos. So sick. Cadence, world play, schemes, motivation, hard!!! They go together!!! 🙌🏽💪🏽
Wouldn't say it's a vs or torch or none of that. When songs on that album were songs Biggie recorded before he died. Em had a lot of time to study, listen and prepare to Big's verses. Eminem did his thing of course but not a versus at all. Just saying.
Agreed, Em already knew Bigs verse so obviously he(Em) will write something to match if not best that verse. Image knowing its a fire verse your up against, having all the time in the world and responding with a verse that is not on par or better... You'd just look stupid. 😒
I don't think either of them outdid each other on this track, pretty evenly matched. Maybe Eminem just about took the W but he had the upper hand as his verse was added after Biggie's death
@@dexterdahmer How does my comment make me a stan lol? Em never worked with BIG, he just got the opportunity to put a verse on a song featuring an unreleased BIG verse. I think its weird to compare "who won" in that scenario. Was in no way taking sides.
@@alexgarma7614 I respectfully disagree that scenario is irrelevant. BIG didn't have the pressure of knowing that his verse would be attached to a song with another artist on it. Em had that pressure but knowing that dude is dead and regarded a legend. Both artists had the same beat, potentially, to work with, but had very different mind states/situations going into the booth. Both are legends in my opinion. Respect to anyone still banging that era music :)
You got me. I feel the same way about that verse. I don't know what it is about it, but it sticks out among the vast catalog of Em verses. " I'll never eat you unless the fuckin meat looks fresh" 🔥🔥🔥
I think you've heard this a few times, lol. That play you did on Ems verse was tight thought, brother! These are 2 of the GOATs, but I agree with you. Em is just On another level.
if biggie was still alive, the game would be SO different.... he would be the only artist to ever be close to eminem's level. dude was so young, he didnt even have the chance to evolve... its mind boggling to think of how good he could have been
The only artist close to Eminem are you crazy Eminem couldn't beat Big pun Eminem takes from everybody else Eminem is not the greatest rapper Eminem is not better than biggie
I'm from Indonesia and I just checked this bar from B.I.G. on genius.com "Niggas need to wake up Smell the Indonesia" it means: Java (term for coffee) is an island in Indonesia Indo(nesia) is slang for marijuana So wake up and smell the coffee/wake and bake. wow I'm mind blown, casually drop a double entendre like that. that's why B.I.G. is one of the GOATS
That was awesome Stevie! You killed that eminem verse. hey Id love to see you re-do a lot of the music to be murdered by songs since back in the day, there werent any words to follow and it was challenging to break down on certain songs. that would be great re visting songs where we didnt have access to teh words while you were breakin them down. plus your eminem ears are way better now too. ;) @stevie knight.
Guess I was living under a rock cause I never knew Em was on a track with Big. Crazy. Did he write the verse after Big died? He must have been genuinely excited to have been on a track with one of his idols, especially way back before he was in the convo as the goat
When you suddenly started mouthing Em's verse verbatim.....yeah, you FULLY got me man. Was not expecting that!!!!🤣 (The more you hear of him...the more and more it seems like you're slowly morphing into an Em fan...it's pretty fucking awesome to watch happen)
Love b.i.g but em just crazy great. Em just seems to b not human. They say hes a guest n hip hop. So is jimmy hendricks aguest n rock n role. If your on there level should not b a conversation. Color doesnt matter. U good u good.piece
In the 90s B.I.G. was my #1 best lyrical rapper then in the 00s Eminem also became my #1 favorite best lyrical rapper. And til this day they both are #1 to me.
I think this song proves eminem has always been gifted, we are just lucky to watch him evolve . Just like Tom brady . Not my team but a privilege to watch a human being take another level.
Damn Stevie, you killed that Eminem verse!! Nobody was ready for that LOL Biggie and Em can't go bar for bar? Dead Wrong.. The best sound of murder, to my ears.
