What I had always appreciated about K's verse was how he transitioned from the hook to his verse. Generally that's Em's strength, you get him on a feature he is either gona do the hook and link it with his verse or bridge the fucking hook and have a smooth transition to his verse. That's how he killed majesty by Nicky.
Exactly. This wasn't a fair em vs. Kendrick because K. only had 45 mins to write it. Was as good as anyone could have done in 45 mins. Good reaction though. Ems shit was ridiculous and still probably unbeatable.
@@bmartin2304 nah... Kendrick didn't have only 45 minutes to write. He wrote his verse in 45 minutes and even Eminem was surprised... Not that he had to write within 45 minutes ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5OIcQcnVj-U.html ☝🏾☝🏾 Here is a link to a Kendrick interview
@@drempi3735 poor choice of wording but my point was the verse was written in 45 mins, and ems was not. weather he only had 45 mins or that is all he took makes no difference. I appreciate you trying to clarify this for me though.
He didn't kick everyone out of the studio because of that lmao where did you heat that from? Kendirck said himself Em kicked everyone out the studio because he didn't want Kendirck distracted or nothing, he wanted Kendirck to feel like its just him and the mic in the room with no one watching him. Like the saying "Sing like no ones watching you"
The beat is supposed to sound all whacky and corny, it’s a parody on pop songs I actually love how the whole thing sounds, probably one of the funniest Eminem tracks, and that says a lot
@@vooselagina47 Yeah, I meant that the idea behind the track is a parody. I knew that they pulled the sample out of some track, but didn't know which one, so thanks for the clarification
BAR FEST, he is gonna hate us for this but yea this is a must see and I think he is qualified at this point. Ps. If you do react to the song imma warn you, its a head ache thats worth it 😂😂
I literally am itching for the day stevie reacts to Eminem ft Buckshot - Dont Front. Cannot wait...cmon man lets get this popping.....great reaction as always btw 👏👏
Do “Soldier” on Marshall Mondays... that’s bars on bars plus you won’t be disappointed with the beat.. FYI Kendrick is def on my top 5 but yeah Em bodied this hands down! Fav reaction so far simply cause those are my two fav rappers
You can tell Kedrick is heavily influenced by em (Specifically in this song with him, you hear the influences) Ems Second Verses takes the cake in the song though
@Carl Marchiano Another comment said it's a parody based on pop beats. It's understandable when you look at it from that angle, especially given the comical lyrical content, but parodies are wack on purpose.
@Carl Marchiano They're definitely different. As far as the voice and the technical lyricism I prefer mmlp2 but everyone has their own take. Mmlp was more emotionally jarring and even funny and still lyrically solid because Eminem has never not been lyrically solid.
@stevie knight I just wanted to give you some insight and say 90% of the beats in this album are actually taken from older songs from different genres. He wanted to put his own spin on it and show he could make fire tracks from anything
Helldog 6 Throw dirt on me and grow a wild flower, But its f the world get a child out her, Yea my life a bitch but you know nothing bout her, been to hell and back I can show you vouchers.. lol Em beat Wayne but maybe in the after life not on this life homie
@@astepaya4274 Yeah no. Is that supposed to be a hard bar or something? That's not impressive, especially when comparing it to other Wayne bars lol Em waxed him on that verse bro.
For the longest time, I heard him saying "because your name I'm Beyoncéying ", but it makes MUCH more sense as "because your name I'm beyond saying" lmfaooo. This song on it's own is what got me in to Kendrick Lamar tho!
And a shout out to a tribe called quest the song is scenario ( chorus and busts rhymes lines in it) which is on the low end theory album , and the rap group 3rd bass w Mc serch
The Busta scheme i think actually is leading on to a Tribe Called Quest scheme because they have a song called Scenario that Busta does guest star on and the song is on their Low End Theory album. Also the third base line can also be used to talk about 90's groups because there was a group called 3rd Bass.
Trivia from an old guy...the hook for this is from "The Game of Love" by Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders, released in 1965!😲🤯 Love your breakdowns and your reactions!😁 Knight Ridazz!✌️❤️
Here’s my 2 cents. This is Eminem’s bag, wild shit and amazing wordplay. Kendrick is stretching his muscles going into Eminem’s world for a song but that’s not kendricks style. I’d love to see a reversal where em tries to step into kendricks specialties like storytelling, biblical references, moral ambiguity, and painting an artistic picture. I love them both for their separate strengths and I think they are both the best at what they do.
Sergiy Angel if you watched his video he said that Eminem definitely sounded better on that track, but for him Wayne had a more meaningful verse. I personally prefer Eminem’s verse but Wayne definitely brought it in terms of lyricism.
On drop the world and forever eminem murked wayne. As for no love Wayne has a more grounded and heavy hitting bars on no love em has a better flow and rhyme schemes. It's a matter of point of view. Renegade is not debatable for me. Even jay z sort of said that he got murked on it. Nas snoop fat Joe all those agree that jay got schooled
Thanks for the surprise. Ive only heard this song once cuz it had no replay value for me. I had no idea there was talent in there til i heard your breakdown. Ooh ooh amd tomorrow is Marshall Monday too!!!
Just now discovered this song so I had to see what my boy Stevie Knight had to say. I personally like the beat and obviously Kdot and Em together is a love game. Great song!
Fun fact: "in an interview busta said he wouldn't allow em to kill him on his own song. He said he would send me something I'd have than I'd have to change my shit and send to him". It became a back and forth battle.I'd love to see the original verse's they wrote.
When I listen to this I thought same boss, Eminem totally killed Kendrick 😂😂😂but I love Kendrick though, thought he should have went a little harder just like I thought Joyner too on lucky you...but it is what it is
You missed the “low end theory” bar part of the busta rhyme scheme from tribe called quests song scenario. Run it back. Also this beat is old school as fuck and I like it lol
Eminem is the architect, Kendrick is the artist. I love this track, including the beat, because these two balance each other out so well on it. The instrumental is something different from the usual Eminem beats... and in my opinion, Kendrick knows how to adjust, interpret the feeling of the track, how to vibe on it. His hook and verse tie the track together. Same reason why Godzilla is better than Rap God in my opinion -- Eminem is so technically skilled that he sometimes forgets to just let the track breathe a bit, to make it easier on the ears.
@@tb_hd_lb He actually knew how to do so when he was in his prime... If you listen to the stuff he was doing back then, you'll notice that he didn't rap very fast, he didn't use intricate wordplay unless it made sense, he used a lot of witty punchlines but it always felt as an integral part of the song. He was crafting amazing songs back then while keeping the technical profeciency. Unfortunally, nowadys it seems like he's concentrating mainly on he technical aspect of rapping and not in crafting good songs.
I think Eminem uses wack beats sometimes because most people only listen to the beat and not the words so he uses trash beats to force you to listen to the words
Scenario was Busta Rhymes official first song/appearance, & rapping debut, appearing as a feature/guest on Scenario by Tribe Called Quest with the final insane verse.. And the name of the album was The Low End Theory '92... That's why he said "but you confirmed my low end theory"..
