Nice vid dude, me and my best mate are moving Australia - Melbourne in December for about a year, going via Dubai, same sort of flight pattern apart from we’re going from Gatwick and staying overnight in Dubai! Helped a lot with knowing what to expect:D

I’m 6ft 4 and manage fine but if you can afford it or book in quick enough choose the emergency exit seats so you can stretch your legs out

Our flights from Birmingham to Adelaide, Sydney to Auckland and Auckland to Birmingham came to around £700 each for all 3 flights. Check out my video how to get cheap flights online 😊

2:40 - Love that sound. Weather probably the hottest so far of 2018 today in the UK after the coldest spell ever before that.Wetherspoons is so stodgy if you know what I mean. Not sure if I'm more shocked to see a £3.95 Meal Deal at WH Smith (Usually over double that - 9 Euros in Alicante!!!!) Or a WH Smith in Australia. Nice work.

Good idea about the water. On this flight from Birmingham Emirates cabin service does not start until nearly 2 hours as due to cost cutting there is no pre meal bar service. Debateable about eating but bear in mind that the inflight meal is not served until 4pm UK time so something light would not go amiss. Even though I am hoping to make this journey one day I was a little under whelmed by Emirates. On three out of my four flights with them. It was only my last flight back to Birmingham that I found they came up to the level of service that I had flying long haul with Lufthansa the previous year.

I’ve only flown on 4 flights with emirates to and from Australia / New Zealand to the UK and I can say they’re up there with the best I’ve experienced

I’ve flown many times before with family and friends- long and short haul, but I will be travelling on my own from London to Canberra Australia in December and I suffer with bad anxiety and panic attacks. I used to be able to travel alone super easily but now I struggle a little and can get very anxious. Any tips as its a very long way to go and maybe quite complicated? Thanks!

Honestly I think you’ll be fine. Airport/airline staff are there to answer any questions you have.. Just write up a plan to keep yourself busy 😊

Sorry to bother you again last one I promise! Just seeing if they weigh your cabin luggage? As it says ive got 7kg for cabin luggage? And i take it they do the swap over the suitcases for you when you get to dubai for the flight to Australia?

I'm here to answer any questions you have, I just appreciate you watching :) Some airports may weigh your hand luggage, some don't. Depends if it looks heavy or not I guess. And yes your luggage will automatically make its way through transfers onto the next flight

How long did it say on your ticket that you stopped off in dubai for? Just curious cause im flying on my own next week and I’ve got 2 hours stop of time in dubai so just wondering if thats enough time to look around or basically head straight to the gate? Hope you can help. Thanks mate

Mine was around 2 hours too. Depends if your flight is early or late. Best thing to do is find your gate and then look at the shops nearby instead of leaving yourself short because it’s a silent airport so there are no announcements

You usually have enough time to get to your gate, get dinner, have a wash etc

Probably the best airline for economy legroom but try and get the emergency exit / extra leg room seats if you can!

I flew from Frankfurt via Dubai to Melbourne with Emirates. To be precise Frankfurt to Dubai was a Emirates flight, Dubai to Melbourne was Qantas. The Qantas flights had a much better crew being more available/hospitable. Maybe I just had bad luck with the Emirates crew, never mind. The flight from Dubai to Melbourne will never be great fun in economy I guess. Australia is definitely worth a visit. Prettey different to Europe in a way in my opinion, everything is more relaxed, easy going. Even in Melbourne which is not exactly the middle of nowhere. ;)
