It’s prettt cool she became an it girl, but the cover of rolling stone should be reserved only for the real music legends. It looses it’s credibility when anyone with no talent can be put on the cover. Don’t get me wrong , Emma is awesome but just not for rolling stone.
Emma is proof that when your heart is in the right place, it really does make a difference. Even though she makes it look easy, we all know that it ISN'T easy. That, for me, is the inspiration.
Same! I remember when Emma said in one of her videos how handsome he is or that she had a crush on him or something like that and I was like… girl, you literally have the same facial features, why can’t you see that..
Same - I say it every time I watch one of her videos lol. And this haircut/color really emphasizes the similarity. They both have quarky personalities too.
been watching emma since 2017 and the personal growth she has accumulated for herself these past few years has been so heartwarming and rewarding to see. from her to go from making videos for fun and a being goofy teenager while doing it to now being on the cover of rolling stone magazine, doing interviews for the MET gala, and launching her own successful podcast that encourages growth and learning while also managing to be so introspective is soo moving. emma is probably one of the most genuine people on the internet which i think what has made her as popular as she is: for being herself, allowing herself to be vulnerable with the entire world. which btw, must have been so draining mentally but she has handled it with so much grace and poise. (which is also very inspiring bc of how young she still is!!!) anyways, love you emma. you are an inspiration to all of the creatives out there

Love Emma , don’t get me wrong. But being on the cover of rolling stone back in the day was exclusively for the amazing bands, groups, etc . Seems wrong to be downgrading in this way. Putting an influencer on the cover.
Feels like she's losing the essence of who she is in a way that goes beyond just expected personal growth as one get older. She's becoming a marketing prop for so many companies at the expense of losing and confusing herself.
Just because she gets more work opportunities doesn’t mean she suddenly turns into some shallow bad person…she’s already said in the past that RU-vid has burnt her out and she wants to focus on making content she truly enjoys not just make stuff for the sake of getting something out once a week. ‘Losing the essence of who she is’ I think is a lot.
People act like Emma has made some significant accomplishments in life when she’s a content creator who somehow garnered a following via vids about her cats, driving around LA, burping a lot, shopping, Coachella, etc. Why does the attention she’s getting make people feel proud or like she deserves it?
Not everyone can garner a following of millions and millions of people from simple videos. Those of us who have been watching her since she was 16 years old on RU-vid, making videos in her parents' house, loved her spirit and personality and clearly she's been able to market herself well enough to have major brands like Louis Vuitton, Cartier, and Lancome want to partner with her. Her RU-vid videos brightened our day for years so of course we'll feel proud of her success.
Well done RS, let's raise the bar of the provocation so that people forget how irrelevant the magazine has become, precisely for this type of choice (John Lennon and Yoko Ono share the privilege with this dork).
@Linda Oelke it's not she's had botox and breast implants. Start researching plastic surgery before you comment against it and then watch videos of her from previous years and get back to me. It's obvious and she most likely had ass injections also.
