This girl is on fire. She is a credit to the country and a great ambassador for tennis. I hope you continue to enjoy the game as much as we enjoy. watching you. Good luck with the rest of the tournament
Always cheers me up watching her press conferences. In a world where so many top sportsmen and women seem to be a-holes, Emma's a breath of fresh air. It's great to see her healthy and in a good head space. Long may it continue
I rewatched her US Open run again recently. She played like a goddess. Didn't' drop a set the whole way. The final was incredible. Happy to see she is getting back to that form.
In the last couple of years her critics have sometimes disparagingly compared Emma with her opponent in the finals of the US Open, Leylah Fernandez. While Leylah is out of Wimbledon, beaten in a three setter in the second round by wildcard Caroline Wozniacki, Emma's goes into the fourth round without losing a set.
@@AlitleInLuv whatts that excuse now? You presented it like raducanu is doing better than leylah, because she progressed more in ONLY 1 TOURNAMENT. I dont care whats the excuses, the thing is that fernandez is doing better than raducanu in almost every tournament, so one incidence wont change that
Jo Konta never said that the match commentator did and both Jo and Ash Barty remained silent because they both knew it was a ridiculous thing to say and is not something a pro player would ever do! The draw has been a kind one for Emma, Alexandrova pulling out Round 1 was a big break. She can only beat who is in front of her but I do expect Emma to reach Q/F minimum. The level will have to increase significantly from there on in but reaching Q/F would be considered a success.
Why do you think it's ridiculous? Emma admitted in her answer that she watches videos of herself back. Alcaraz also said he watched videos of himself winning last year to prepare him this time. Seems pretty normal to me.
4 days prior to the WTA 22 Alexandrova match, EMMA beat WTA 5 jpeg, what makes you assume EMMA got a big break, it was Alexandrova who got the big break, as since then EMMA has gone on to beat WTA 9 Sakkari !!
@@robertmartin7594 I am all for Emma and a big fan but I do believe in keeping things real at the same time. A ft and full firing Alexandrova on Grass would have been hard to handle. Am not saying Emma wouldn't have come through that match up am just saying it would have been tough. I had no doubt Emma would beat Sakkari if she played anywhere near her best level and she did. The excitement is building 😁
Emma brings joy to the game of tennis and is particularly suited to big matches and Slams, especially on a fast surface that suits her game. Everyone who sees her play is enthused by her and now that she's added more variety and game craft she's definitely in the mix at Wimbledon. My wish is that Emma stays healthy and happy, so that the world can enjoy her progress to full fitness.
All good signs. Starting to see her develop some momentum and fulfill that potential. But as she said herself; only as good as your next game. So far, she's looking pretty good...
Who cares about clay or other surfaces, as long as Emma excell's at Wimbledon on grass the British public will love her. It is such a tough sport to dominate that specialising on a single event and surface is a fairly safe stratagem, compete at the other's tournament's for sure, but protect yourself for the main event Wimbledon.
"Jealousy" is such a naive argument - Here are some of the reasons: She gives the vibes of diva without actually doing anything diva-ish. Sacked her coach right after that US Open, doesnt even pay him any bonus given her win. Selling starts all over the board ( most excessive selling I have ever seen ). Shifts through coaches like they are some nuts. Arrogantly says that "she's a GS champion and no one can take that away from her, if anything people who havent done it should feel pressure about not having won it" when asked about pressure that she faces from the spotlight she gets. Masquerades as one of the nicest person, while not being one, which is one of the biggest reasons people hate her.
The world has changed it is not like it used to be it is everyone for themselves. What is Astounding is the fact she did not know there was a vote going on and even if there was she never intended to Vote do they not have Mail in Ballets? or a date where you can cast a early ballot?
@@JimBob27534No, it was published in articles that her agent reached out to Andrew Richardson and mentioned that her family decided to move in different direction. Do your research
Win or lose, it's lovely to see her determination and mentality is on the right track now. Undoubted talent and at such a young age she has really done well to find her own pace. Excited for her future and wish her all the best.
For the haters. The last british women to win the US open was in 1968 (won by Mrs Wade). Emma won it a couple of years ago, without dropping a single set! Put that in perspective. What ever happens shes a legend and rich already. You really think your usless opinions matter?
Great interview. Emma is a credit to herself and to the game. She played faultlessly against Sakkari breaking her twice in each set. High level tennis!
What l like about Emma is she just gets on with the job and she never makes excuses she's straight up Hardworking and deserves every respect for her game..No Drama queen antics from Emma !!!❤
@@stevefowler3398sounds pretty English to me , by your logic yannic Noah wasn’t French or half the English and French football teams . The fact is Britain is a multicultural country whether you like it or not . Raducanu is a product of that and a very good thing too
@@stevefowler3398 You too could emigrate to a country of your choice. After living there and working there for a few years, you and your family (if you have one) would be entitled to apply for citizenship of that country, that's the way of the world!
Emma has said a lot of Crazy things in the past and done a lot of Crazy things and I am sure after her career will be over she will be one of the most controversial Tennis players of all time.
strange this interview is not on the Wimbledon RU-vid channel. Her disposition after a win is odd. Maybe she knew the the double match is/to be cancelled?
Fancy my 22/1 odds now :D. She is going all the way if she keeps up this standard. Reminds me of the 2021 us open, sorry to all the haters that she didnt lose in the second roundcanu....
The haters just dont understand how tennis and the tour works. Emma burst onto the scene in the biggest way. She needed time to readjust and decide what was right for her. The media attention doesn't help. Shes a naturally talented player and I love to watch her. She'll win the Rose Bowl one day.
Sakkari should work less on bodybuilding and work more on tennis. From so much bodybuilding she can't even walk like a woman. She walks more like a football player. :) Her tennis is getting worse and worse. Bravo Emma, she won the match easily !!
Clearly she is a very bright young woman but I believe she is obsessed with winning another slam (Wimbledon!!) to prove the naysayers wrong! That said, she has nothing to prove!
Honestly, I still cannot understand why more people can't say more positive things about Emma! She has been saying that in the past, she was rushing into too many situations, she is now steadying herself and is now taking each match one at a time, she looks so much more composed when she is playing, the patience in her shots and serves - she looks calmer then she has been for a long time. The smile which brings so much joy to the viewers watching her enjoy playing her game. She is just a good human being and I think it is sad that so many people ignore that side to her! I also think that whatever issues she has had with coaches in the past and having many at one stage then falling out with one by one, that is not our business, she is an adult and we should respect and support her, criticise her at the right times but not showing unnecessary hate is needless
I dont enjoy these interviews but she is very good at answering the same questions from not so intelligent so called journalist. These format contribute to the stress of playing and the players should be given more protection. The greed for more money is affecting the mental health of the players.
So, she's basically a likable, level headed, intelligent multi millionaire super-model, that plays elite world class tennis ... at 21! That's not a bad start to life to be fair. 🤔Best of luck to her!
@@robertmartin7594 Grace? Born into a wealthy family, won a GS very young, made and still makes millions, Anyone in her position will be "graceful". Like they say, "I dont need to have money to stay happy" gets only said by rich people.
These successful young people laugh at trolls ...trolls don't drive to their dream home in a 200K sports car have a strong family life and a dream in there mind ...its sad that the raducanus bring up these facts and its understandable that the weaker young people who are struggling get angry and turn into trolls .
