She is not probably not good enough. After Wimbledon her career may be over. she is 18 and did not make it to top 300 so far.. that is not star potential
@@derbenutzer4648 This is her second tournament, so not being in the top 300 doesn't mean anything. She is young, has a lot to learn, and a lot more to prove. However don't dismiss her potential after making the 4th round of a slam, at her second tournament, while beaten players in straight sets.
What a credit to her parents - they must be so proud of her. I think she's right that staying at school and having friends outside tennis has kept her grounded. Who was the man who asked her about Coco Gauff? Not the best use of a question I'd have thought. Good luck to her in Round 4!
I so admire her tennis and her free spirit and so articulate in her speech.. Just to polish it a bit, I would prefer her to say... MY TEAM AND ME... AND NOT ME AND MY TEAM... I wish her a great future!
A credit to her parents and her upbringing, they must be so proud, a very pleasant young lady and so nice to listen to, good luck and let’s hope she wins her next match…and the next…. And hopefully Wimbledon….
@@joser1853 gauff gives me the jitters, i see her play and that serve is awful, one part of her game if she improves she will dominant just like serena, her body is still in development, and one look at her dad means she will be strong in 3 or 4 years time, she will dominant
I am so happy for all British people who have someone else to look forward to and get excited about in these dark days, I hope that the media doesn’t drive her nuts
@@Dzukacorama she is only 18 though and has only recently took up tennis again after her a levels. after more practice she should get further next time
@@edaisy2005 not questioning her talent which is obviously very good and it will improve even more , its her mental health after the media pumped her up with so much pressure and hype :(
Isn't it just so refreshing to see a youngster just enjoying the moment, wish her well and thanks for bringing back some joy to a sport that has got too serious.
@@lanngo6351 what on earth is a "head case"? Emma may have suffered breathing problems in her last match due to panic and emotions, does that make her a head case?
God, she just seems so nice, so charming. And she has so much potential. I can't wait to watch her in the future. I'll definitely be rooting for her big time. But yeah, wow -- she just seems SO likable! What a fantastic young lady. And having Li Na and Simona Halep as two favorites growing up, learning the game -- DEFINITELY a great move. Two wonderful champions.
How wonderful she is. Delightful and so capable it seems, with her entire team to deal with the press. I don't feel a number of the question are predictable, inane and lack real relevance to her performance. She has a real charisma.
Our household are now officially on team Emma! What an awesome champion. Looking forward to seeing more of what she has to offer and inevitably reaching higher heights.
It’s so nice to see a player enjoy sharing their emotions with the press, I’m sick of these older players rolling their eyes and speaking in a monotone when asked questions.
She has a fantastic game doesnt she?The competitive spirit, chasing down lost causes like the young Rafa Nadal!!Wonderful to see and what a charming person she is.
This is the reason I think, dont quit school and become a pro at such a young age. She is so well rounded and full of wisdom at a young age, furthermore being a native English speaking person, being asked questions in English as well is different if English is not your first language. But, only time will tell, would she be a Barty or Osaka in 3 years time when dealing with the press. Only hoping for the best for her future....
The media needs to stop asking younger players irrelevant questions; like her parents’ name and what industry they’re in! She’s at the press conference to talk about her match!
To me those questions aren't irrelevant. As fans we want to get to know these players, how they got into tennis, where and how they grew up and how that affected their careers. Of course without going into really private stuff.
Never been a great fan of the, "What do your parents do?" question, in any context. The fact that it is being asked by a journalist doesn't make it any less gauche.
@@milanamaricic3790 I would say asking someone about their parents' first name and their jobs isreally intrusive, especially during a post-tennis match press conference. Such information can be slowly uncovered about a player through other means. But at the end of the day, the reporters were from The Sun/ the dailymail/ gossip new channels so it's expected that they'll pry about such information from her. 🤷🏻♀️
If she continue to play well...all the good endorsement will start pouring in. With her good looks, likeable character, good tennis, its every brands dream to associate with.
No-one has said it yet so I will. Emma is the best looking tennis player I've ever seen!! She has the bone structure and face of a super model. OMG she is beautiful!! Great tennis player, and she's going to make a fortune playing tennis and with those looks!! Hope to see lots more of her in the future!!
Amazing potential, talented, likable, marketable, she has everything to be the next big star. However we seen it before how the British press and fans over hype players like Robson and Watson which no doubt gave them to much pressure. Can she build on this? We know in the next 2 years.
Very attractive. Thats rare..Even some what attractive is rare...its been 17 years since Sharapova..... , its like a dark cloud has moved on and sunshine is making a rare appearance.
They put her on last so they could get the best viewing figures. That’s all the organisers care about. Let her wait for hours and deal with that situation. Sink or swim. No surprise the other player dropped out for the sake of her mental health.
