The part where Jimme breaks down in the song and talks about getting his coffee, shouting into the dark, working the same day over and over broke me into tears the first time I heard it. Is there an escape for us

I need more of them in my life... No idea how I stumbled on them but I've listened to this on loop for a good bit.

The latter half of this song(oh shit this version gets cut off before it gets weird ignore that love this whole song as it's uploaded here) I have never really enjoyed but the first part of the song almost always gives me chills/goosebumps and there has been so many occasions where I put my songs radio as loud as it will go and scream along to the lyrics. I don't if it's just me but as I transition into an adult with actual responsibilities I can't help but resonate with the refusal of responsibility that is expressed. Such a good angst song. I don't want to be in a rock band but I understand the desire of not living in society in a society that doesn't want you to exist as yourself but instead just wants you to exist for the utility you bring to the workforce. I haven't found a song since the provokes the same visceral emotional response that this song does.

The album's version sounds cleaner, polished and more produced. That's why I prefer the demo...fantastic song and band.

If anyone can find or even make some tabs to that guitar melody after the second chorus, that would be sweet. Been looking, doesn't exist anywhere, just the chords...
