Wow wow Marshall, slow down. You don't have to over compensate and go a hundred miles an hour. 😅 It is cute tho, he's like a lost puppy who is starting to find his feet.
Oh how sweet Marshall touched Arthur's hand and held it for a second. This is the start of an adorable relationship.OMG did he just say boyfriend dang first date and he already said boyfriend take it slow you too.
The amount of blushing in this scene can't possibly be all stage makeup. LOL Especially on Alfie(Arthur) OMG! Of course Emmerdale is playing it safe by portraying these two fifteen-year-olds as incredibly innocent, but anyone who has been 15 surely has got to see this is toned down a tiny bit from reality and Jay's comment about separate rooms is likely very appropriate lol again see blushing. How do you even act blushing? I agree with other commentors that this seems rushed and I would have liked to have seen at least some of their actual date besides just the begining and end. A lot of the development of this relationship seemingly has been off screen considering it's been months. I don't need to see a big long angsty drawn-out story like that was done with such brilliance by Danny Miller's Aaron, but this really feels a bit fast food even if I'm enjoying it. It's not giving these obviously talented actors time to truly shine. Imagine the storyline done under the oversight of rip Gavin and that team!?!
I was a gay kid that was 15 in 1955 and living in a very conservative part of the world. Would almost be committing suicide to have come out. At the same time that talk would have been a few years too late. Interesting thing my older brother knew I was gay yet never said a word to our parents. What he did say was he did not think it was fair that I could bring my boyfriends home and sleep with them and he couldn't with his girlfriend. I appreciated the fact he kept this secret.
It’s so heartwarming to see young love portrayed in all its possibilities. I wish this had been the case when I was 15, maybe I wouldn’t have felt so alone and confused. Well done, great story line and great actors. ❤
Definitely the "Heartstopper" sweetness vibe at play here! Bit too rushed though for suddenly being "boyfriends", especially since Marshall and Arthur have been given less than 15-20 minutes max screen-time together over the past 2 long months! Their acting & relationship chemistry isn't that great, but neither is the short scene dialogue they've been saddled with either!:)
It's so lovely it's nice that they have found each other! If nothing else they will be like brothers! Loved Arthur's response when Jai mentioned separate rooms 😂😂
I was sitting with my mate the other night, and he called me over and stood up and hugged me. I don't believe we are boyfriends as such, but are very close
Did everybody forget about their first kiss 3 months ago in the little house every teen goes to drinks and hookup? Marshall's dad almost caught them. Took this long for him to crawl back out of his shell again.
I can confirm this doesn’t happen, I have every scene of this edited together (3.5 hours including Arthur’s coming out), there’s 2-3 times where they could have kissed but they always get interrupted.
There appears to me that the ending is cut off. or is it my imagination. and also I wonder if this is the end of this stopyline or is there more to come
Hopefully it does usually with this show they have a fantastic scene and then stops for months, so I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t appear on screen
I’m happy that Emmerdale didn’t go the route of an affair or anything like that (mainly because of their age) but it doesn’t seem natural. It might just be because it’s the start of their journey but they don’t seem to have chemistry, yet. I hope that their relationship gets better and that the writers don’t mess things up like they have before. (If you know you know)
Are they really gay or just very close like a bromance? My mate often will tap on my back, hug me and take me out to the cinema and football etc. We even eat out together a lot. It does seem rather gay, but I am stright
Okay they are quite cute but who picked their names? I mean come on... Arthur and Marshall? They couldn't find any better? No offense to the Arthur's and Marshall's of the world.
Not even that, it’s just Emmerdale’s way of creating drama. Look what happened to Aaron and Jackson. The first romance rarely ever gets to be “the one”. Here’s hoping with this one though, as they are both a great age for multiple storyline, that they have the ability to keep it going, and deter the screenwriters from ending it too soon.
I hate this. Definitely not the next heartstopper. Arthur is so obsessed and clingy with Marshall it's almost toxic. Won't be long till he starts stalking him like Noah did with chloe. I still remember how he bullied poor archie.
Edna felt bad for decades about calling the police on her husband's and Lawrence White affaire (who she thought was dead, because of her jealous action), she even gave advice/protection to Aaron, when he was covering for Adam. Ashley would not have cared much, he got into a relationship with Harriet, who was in full support of LGBT, that got her sacked as vicar, for initiating a marriage of two women.
Emmerdale the only soap that throws the gays in your face this is all a bit rushed i dont mind marshall but the way other is acting is just cringe hes been 1 a them for five minutes🤣
@@dannynix2732 Don't you remember the awkwardness after coming out in your teens and building up to your first proper gay kiss? I think both actors are doing really well, it's the Emmerdale writers who need to slow down and be a bit more original.
