Even as an Eagles fan, I always secretly liked Emmit. Tough to hate on the guy, good dude. Him, Irvin, the rest of those guys from the 90's cowboys knows whats up. Pure competitors, fun to listen to and watch.

As a Dallas fan Emmitt spoke to my soul. Feels good knowing someone cares about it like we do. The current guys are individual businesses, who don't care, not like Emmitt. It hurts, because we have no chance with the guys on our team. We'll be good, but won't do everything a champion has to do to win these big games. It's get paid, talk 💩, go on extravagant vacations then do a pod.

as a cowboys fan, when i heard mccarthy was back i already expected a good regular season and nothing else. this team has talent but when its the playoffs talent isnt enough, coaching becomes most important. and cowboys are always outcoached

There’s a soft culture w/ players that don’t get coached hard. You combine that with player’s who feel they’ve arrived at the top by just being drafted to the Cowboys. These players are more interested in pumping up their “ brands “ then winning. Watch the crying start when Mike Zimmer starts busting their butts. “ Oh he’s out of touch with young players.. why they cry? because they’ve never been coached hard in the NFL. Pre-Madonna’s is what we have and not hard core dawgs. When they get punched in the mouth they fold. No need more proof than that!.

Emmitt's the kind of player Coach Landry would have loved to have had on his team. Honestly any coach would have and I don't mean because of his natural talent or ability I mean because of his will to win, his work effort and his desire to be the man out there on the field. Those guys were able to walk to walk and just not talk the talk. It's something that is totally lacking from the current team and it's nauseating to realize how far the franchise has fallen under Jerry Jones over the last three decades.

The brand, the star have not done anything for over 2 decades. Not sure why anyone is surprised by this and I'm even more confused as to why there seems to be a sense of entitlement. I mean at one time the Browns were a great dynasty but you don't see fans from Cleveland talking about their brand and thinking that they are entitled to super bowl wins. Anyone watching football saw the GB loss coming. They got much better as the year went on and they are going to be a handfull going forward. Its frankly insulting to them to keep talking about the Cowboys losing vs them winning.

I’ve been harping on it for years but Dak Prescott isn’t a good playoff quarterback. His record is now 2-5 so he’s not even winning one-third of those games. What’s interesting though: every other year he’s one-and-done while the opposite years he’s always 1-1. If the pattern holds in 2024 he’ll win the first playoff game then lose the second one. It’s remarkably cyclical.
