What is going on my mates, so everyone seemed to enjoy my pop punk albums of the decade video so I figured I'd make an emo albums of the decade (2010-2019) vid as well.
For each year, I'll discuss my favorite "emo" release from it. This time I made sure to include some honorable mentions

I haven't seen this channel in years, it just popped up on my feed again and I had to come back to this video. I wanna thank Nate for mentioning Spanish Love Songs, because when i watched this video back when it was released I had never heard of them before. The music SLS made fit perfectly to what I was going through in life and it has helped me hold on. I saw them live earlier this year and got to talk to them and got to thank them for having such an influence on my life, and I feel like I owe the same to Nate. Thank you.

Grandview are amazing. I wish more people knew about them. Good list. Feel Something was my fav album of 2017. I reckon Moose Blood are tough to miss out on here. Especially their first record.

glocca morra - just married the band that fully got me into emo. I had listened to some emo like sorority noise and sunny day real estate but just married is what truly got me to explore emo. and I still listen to at least one song daily from the album.

Marietta has become one of my favorite bands over the past year. Love the Couples Therapy EP they did with MoBo. Also glad to see Basement in your honorable mentions. Promise Everything is one of my favorite albums of the past decade even though it’s not as heavily emo-tinged as Colourmeinkindness. Great work as always, Nate.

Spanish Love Songs's Schmaltz definitely deserved to be on here, probably my emo album of the decade too. It's such a fantastic record, words can't really describe how much I love it. Cheers on the Origami Angel shoutout too! Also, I feel like Best Buds is missing.

I am agree, it was a fantastic decade for the Emo genre, a true revival. LOLZ most of the honorable mentions are for me in the top of the decade for Emo. For me Turnover and The Hotelier put out of the park albums. Really fantastic. I love the pop punk video you made, but i really enjoy this one of Emo. Great job MATE!!! Greetings from Mexico!

I love Origami Angel so much :-) I recently found them and appreciate all their pokemon references and their feel-good jams. I recently got into this type of music, but for this year I think my list would also include Oso Oso too!!

Wow awesome vid. I can't believe I never realized how big the emo scene is here in philly. I know Grayscale, TWY, and MOBO are based here but seeing all these other bands playing in front of my skyline is so cool. Thanks for the vid, I've added quite a bit to my playlist. Heartbeat in the brain is one of the best emo songs ever made imo- perfectly embodies the spirit of the genre.

I also missed dads because the vocalist had serious throat problems:( but hey, American Radass is a masterpiece and I’m glad you put it on the list!! (Pls fix the spelling in ur description it’s getting me t r i g g e r e d 😂) This list is so great, only thing I’m split between is deciding whether Cardinal is the album of 2016 or stage four by touché amore. I have a tattoo of the Cardinal logo but still they’re both so great. Keep up the good work Nate!!!

Bro, sick list! What really blows my mind is that I've been listening to every single one of these bands and I am living in a strange country called South Africa. Music transcends borders and I'm so stoked that there are people like you that are willing to share good music with people like me over the internet. I booked Grandview long before I started this label at a café in Boise ID, and it was my first show that a lot of people showed up to and where I paid the band an okay amount. It would be cool if they were still around.

OMG sooo glad to see someone even acknowledge Four of Arrows. It was such a weird step for the band for their second album, especially being on Double Double Whammy. But it's such a tear jerker with complex lyrics and instrumental. Def wins most underrated on this list

all hotelier, a great big pile of leaves with youre always on my mind, youre gonna miss it all from modern baseball, and a lot of tiny moving parts were on heavy rotation for me. granted i was balls deep in emo and cant remember everything i liked. have mercy really had me til their last 2 cds. i admire the progression, and my friends really like the most recent cds, but with a place of our own, i think they deserve to be recognized.

im homies with homies of origami angel. very nice and genuine guys from what ive heard. my hardcore band youcantgettheseincanada was gonna open for them but they ended up not being able to make it to the show for some reason. i think they left some crucial gear at the venue for their show the night prior. we still played tho and opened for another great emo band called taking meds which you should totally check out. also youcantgettheseincanada just recorded our first EP and it will be released soon so if you give a shit keep an eye out for that! great vid dude.

Peripheral Vision turned from a breakup album into my most played album of the last year. I just cannot find anything with that same sound. Foxing was also involved in that breakup music.

a bit sad my favs were honorable mentions but I respect the list. As someone out of the scene for a bit and have been into "skramz", post-hardcore (older), and math rock recently; I'm excited to check out what I've missed. emo math rock like TTNG and Delta Sleep has brought me back to emo though.

On The Impossible Past by The Menzingers released in 2012 is probably my favorite album of the decade. It gives you punk, emo, and pop punk vibes. It talks about the dumb mistakes you make in your twenties and how our mind chooses to remember these events knowing that we can never actually go back to the past. They feel like they filled the void that The Gaslight Anthem left behind with a little bit of Springsteen twang in there. Bangers from the album include songs like Good Things, The Obituaries, Mexican Guitars, and my all time favorite song Casey. Gates is another amazing song but it is the love song or ballad on the album. If you've never had the chance to check them out you're seriously missing out. They just put out a very mature album this year and have 2 more albums after this one that are also amazing. I can't say enough good things about this band.
