Haha I fucking loved this song! Seeyouspacecowboy have been killing it for years now switching it up from sassy chaotic grind to MySpace metalcore to now this, and If I Die First put out one of the most fun post-hardcore EPs I’ve heard in like a decade last year. This split is gonna be a huge dose of nostalgia, but I think it has the potential to catch on big with kids again. The TikTok e-boy/girl community would be probably eat this shit up if they heard it

i was born in 98' and grew up on nu metal and other staples in metal that i was exposed to but didn't break into bands that scream til i was in like highschool. As a younger gen person ig i dig this sound completely and it's mainly due to the duality of how emotional it can be in both heavy and melodic senses. Panic chords just hit my ear and it sounds amazing and although i didn't listen to the hardcore era stuff from 2006 i did listen to emo stuff so i dig the singing as well.

This song was so f’n good. That old school emo sound is so awesome and I didn’t even grow up in that era like you did. That’s what makes it great imo. Cannot wait for their split EP.

Screamo is a real genre actually! But it doesn't really sound like 2000's Post Hardcore like Pierce The Veil and all that, it's more of a harsher subgenre of Emo that developed in the 90's, you should check out Pg.99 if you're interested about it!

If I Die First just released another NASTY EP *_They Drew Blood_* and the first song is another collab with Connie Sgarbossa called _Walking a Razors Edge_ - i haven’t been this excited about a new band tapping my feet for the next release since the first time I heard Underoath, Hawthorne Heights, or My Chemical Romance. These guys are going to be fucking HUGE

Loving the resurgence of this sound! For another band that absolutely KILLS this style check out I Met A Yetti - Blue Eyes White Yetti. Hyper nostalgic sound that brings you right back to the old Fuse TV days.

This was a sick collab. It would definitely be dope if you reacted to SeeYouSpaceCowboy, I've been a fan for a few years now. They played an incredible show when I saw them touring with Knocked Loose. Check out "Late December" and "Armed With Their Teeth". SYSC are categorized as Hardcore because their roots are in the Hardcore scene and they tend to tour with Hardcore bands, more than sounding like straight-up Hardcore. Another example is right now there are a bunch of Hardcore bands (Creeping Death, Fuming Mouth, Venom Prison) that sound like straight-up Death Metal, in the style of Entombed. But they come from the Hardcore scene and tour with Hardcore bands so they are Hardcore even if they sound like Death Metal. Also check out: Wristmeetsrazor - Take Your Shot Funboy

So sick that the guitarist for IIDF is Nedarb, Lil Peeps Best Producer IMO hands down.

The only emo-ish element here is a couple of the clean vocal lines (which are honestly not to my taste, way too helium sounding), but the rest of it is tap dancing on the line between heavy post-hardcore and '00s metalcore (of the non-At The Gates/melodeath influenced kind). We're hearing a lot of 00s revival at the moment. I'm here for it.

actually, screamo is a real genre. they changed it to a genre called "Skramz". early SYSC is scramz and then they became mathcore, then a mix of post and mathcore. SYSCs best album is definitely Songs For The Firing Squad.
