The band "Wristmeetrazor" should be up your alley if you like this :)

You'd really enjoy 'I met A Yeti - Blue Eyes White Yeti'. They're newer and absolutly KILL IT with this kind of sound, though leaning ever so slightly more twards a 'swancore vibe.'

Never been a huge fan of post-hardcore or emo unless it was combined with metal, but I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. It's the catchiness that hooks me, or maybe the hooks that catches me... anyway, it was a pleasant surprise. If I'm being critical though I would say there's nothing very original here: you said it well about it being a trip through every post-hardcore/emo stereotype. Perhaps that won't be a problem for fans of the genre, but if I was to listen to something like this past a single song I'd really want more originality or novelty because the genre is so well-worn at this point.

Whilst I understand your comments about the instrumental, I think it’s better to think of this as a collaboration, rather than trying to get all players on the track. I think it would become far too messy an arrangement, since there are so many vocal lines (and there are synths, strings and synthetic drums too)

Wheel is a band I'd like to get back to. I checked out a song by them over a year ago and really enjoyed it. I'm glad to see them growing in popularity too.

You should probably check out each band individually instead. Might give a better impression overall. SYSC has a far more diverse catalog with some shorter sasscore songs, some old-school metalcore, some full instrumental songs and even a very post-rock influenced track in Last December. I guess be warned if you check out that one though, the music video has some pretty heavy content regarding suicide which Connie has been very open about (the song is about her partner who committed suicide during the writing of that album).

I love seeyouspacecowboy, not much of a fan of if i die first or this song in particular.

It's certainly a unique song. Like I mentioned, it's sort of all over the place, hitting all of the popular "screamo" ideas. I could totally see this not being a popular track with some people; even fans of one or both bands.

@@CriticalReactions I mean on paper I should love this song, considering they hit all the main pillars of a MySpace era post hardcore/metalcore/emo band song ideas, but it just doesn’t work for me for some reason.
