OMG thank you so much for posting the movie here, and I'm glad it's a legal version! I watched on Netflix 4, maybe 5 years ago and then they took the movie off and I couldn't find it anywhere after that! I searched for the songs and find this video and now I'm crying in happiness
literally cried cause i found this, i literally got a vpn subscription and signed up for an australian streaming service to watch it ONCE in january with it freezing every 5 seconds I LOVE YOU😭

This movie is so perfect!! So happy I can finally rewatch, I was so sad when it was taken out Netflix. I would also love to see this musical on stage too imagine how cool that would be

As a Christian I want to clarify that you can, in fact, go to church and Heaven even if you aren’t baptized lol It’s about what’s in your heart and truly loving God! (Isaac is a poor example of a Christian, don’t listen to him💀)
My SSD where I had all the movies downloaded died, I was really sad knowing that I would never be able to find this movie again... UNTIL I FOUND THIS!!!! YESSS!!! I am so happy! I'm glad this is the legal upload as well and I hope youtube does NEVER remove it. Me and my sister loved this movie! I remember when she put it on netflix in 2018 and I was like "EWWW a musical", then as we were watching it I was loving it, and it was then when I got it in my pc to watch any time I wanted.

Thank you so much for posting this! I have so many people I want to show this to and now that it's gone from Netflix it's so great that it's on youtube. This movie feels like a time capsule - it's a scathingly accurate and satirical portrayal of what it was like to be in high school in the 00s. And as someone of that time, I can't get enough of it!
One of those movies that would be vastly improved by a killing spree ending. I don’t care who does it or who dies, I just think it would be better. Also this movie treats an Emo band like a Scorsese treats a mafia crew and I love it. Also also, if this were a Pure Flix movie, Isaac would be the main hero… so there, well done. The producers of this movie understand Christianity better than the Christian movie studio. I may sound snarky, but this movie’s actually really impressive, and it’s a lot better than a decent amount of Hollywood movies coming out at the minute.
This movie is so wonderfully written. Except the songs, but they're so funny it doesn't really matter. The jokes either hit, or land so poorly they're funny anyways. To me this movie is a solid 9/10 god I love it so much (except the electroshock therapy idk that wasn't funny to me)
Thank you for commenting - I love that overall we've received a solid 9 out of 10. It was our intent to make you smile, but dark humour is also meant to make you think. As gay filmmakers, it was important to us to include the electroshock sub-plot in the storyline to highlight the real challenges same-sex attracted young people face when organised religions try to suppress who they really are. Hopefully you enjoyed our post-credits sequence where that storyline was wrapped up... Lee (producer)
@@MatthewswoodPro I didn't know I was commenting on the actual film creator's RU-vid channel! This film is a masterpiece. So much care and love has been put into the film and it's so full of character. I know my opinion means very little, but it really is my fav. Thank you. WIth the running electroshock joke, I initially saw it more as making fun of the issues you described. I see and understand your perspective/intention behind it now. I didn't mean to nitpick something so wonderful. I really thought I was shouting my thoughts into the aether, not directly to the creators of the show. And yes, the end of peter's storyline is wonderful. Everyone got their fairytale ending.

Kind of correct. He was different, and treated badly because he didn't fit in at his old school, and was attracted to the Emos at his new school, and did what he did to fit in with them, but ultimately he's an individual. Neither Emo nor Christian... unique - interested - accepting - kind - loving... w a realisation by the end that he doesn't need to compromise on who he is... maybe.... who really knows... what do you think @elderxemo92
@@MatthewswoodProI love the idea of the characters coming into terms of the things they're passionate about the most. You can be emo and like sports, you can be a Christian and like the same sex etc. ❤
