No offense to Hawk, he had some good lil high level tips for sure, but a lot of that video was chalking things up to the current state of the game and essentially "d.va is not that great right now" rather than the kind of coaching emongg is giving here. This video is more what people who are looking to rank up are looking for, the attitude of "eff the state of the game, you can rank up if you're good enough and here's how to be good enough." We need more of this attitude in the community I think. Good stuff.
Thanks for making the gameplay a bit quieter in the mix in this one so I could hear you guys better! I’d recommend making it even lower still, because Emong is still hard to hear over the gameplay at times, but sonically this is an improvement over the Hawk video. Keep up the good work!
Emongg is the DvA king (queen?)! I learned alot by just watching him play, and corrected my mistakes. Currently on a huge win streak and ranked up several colors by just playing DvA and the occasional Zarya, to make the enemy Zarya switch so I can go back to DvA XD ♥
Overwatch is not about numbers (though numbers usually tell a story). Overwatch is about value. Do you force the enemy to do something premature or late --> value Do you make the enemy preoccupied --> value But getting much dmg on a meaty target and healing your meaty team mate will only give you nice numbers --> NO value
I'm pretty sure it killed her bc the Baby D.Va model stepped back as part of the Call Mech animation. It puts you standing still. Every time I see someone complaining about Kiriko damage recently, it's on something that any character could HS at that moment. Then again, S9 Health Buffs across the board, so she won't be able to 2 tap most of the roster anymore. So it won't matter soon anyways
@@fizzlock Nah, Kiriko's hitbox is ridiculously large even for support standards. I say this as a Kiriko player myself. Her projectiles are bigger than Zen's and travel at the same speed. Only thing he got on her is 0.1 faster fire rate. That is why she can get away with aiming more or less at the center of someone's strafing motion and she can still get crits.
@penrilfake her hitbox is not bigger than Zen's. I don't know the numbers off the top of my head, but there is genuinely no way they're the same size, I would've been able to feel that. Her Kunai are smaller than Hanzo's arrows. People say Hanzos arrows are fine and they one shot at any range. So I'm unsure why Kiriko is still in the crosshairs here when Hanzos primary weapon exists. Furthermore, her kunai size is getting reduced in S9, while everyone else's size is going up. She also won't be able to 2-Tap squishies (other than Tracer/Widow) anymore due to the Base HP increase of the roster. So, that being said, I don't think it's gonna be a topic of discussion for much longer.
@@fizzlock Oh no, I'm not shitting you, her kunai is bigger than Hanzo's arrow, haha. Hanzo's arrows are 0.1 mts wide (the size of Illari's shots pre-nerf), while Kiriko's are 0.18, nearly twice. Zen's shots are 0.15, which is the value Kiriko's will drop to after the nerf. It never was a signficant difference tbh, and I doubt the nerf will be felt too much. For the record, what is problematic about Hanzo's arrows is that, desipte being the thinnest projectiles in the game, they are also the longest, as the arrow's entity is HUGE, and the entire thing is a hitbox, including the entire length of its shaft. This makes it so sometimes people will literally just walk into the arrow passing by, and why it feels like it's so much bigger than it is. It just lingers in place way more than any other projectile. I'm not really complaining about Kiriko, but really, there's no need to defend her hitbox size. Support hitboxes have always been hilariously oversized (Mercy's pistol hitboxes are 0.25 mts wide lmao), and this trend peaked with Illari, which was outrageous bc she's a hitscan character. I think why Kiriko feels so frustrating to duel into for p much every DPS hero is not really bc her hitbox is big (otherwise Zen would receive the same complaints, and he theoretically has the exact same TTK than she does), but because her TTK is really low --and will continue to be when compared to the rest of the cast-- while also being really hard to hit, on top of having very strong defensive abilities. There is no denying that Kiriko is the best duelist in the game, so it's only natural that people will latch onto something like the kunai size to express their frustrations. Again, I say this as a Kiriko player myself. I don't think she's BROKEN (out of the supports, I think Bap is probably the strongest one by far), but I think her kit has some really questionable decisions that make some match-ups plain unfair when played into her. This and the fact that she has pretty much zero real weaknesses since her Ofuda got sped up is also quite silly.
