With the way you guys feel about Jjong and Onew, I highly recommend the Shinee World 5 performance of Romeo + Juliet. Everybody shines in that, but especially those two. It would be fun to see you experience SWC 4's Woof Woof (aka 'Shinee slays musical theatre comedy' :-)) I'm really enjoying your reactions, and look forward to your Jonghyun solo work reactions. (I could recommend way too much stuff, but will keep it short: Y Si Fuera Ella, SWC 2 - very theatrical staging, but a legendary performance. Moon, for the impeccable Prince vibes, although if you watch the live performance you might be too distracted by the shirtlessness and the choreo to listen to the song itself. A brief acoustic Juliette, performed on Sketchbook, that's like a crash course in Jjong's voice. Crazy, the MV or any performance at all. The live of End of a Day (not the crying version! ). The live of I'm Sorry is gorgeous.... Diphylleia Grayi is a masterpiece of a song, unlike anything else at all. I'm failing at being short, so I'll shut up for now. :-))

I wanted to add a couple of Shinee performances to the recs: Orgel (Shinee World Concert 3) Password (Boys Meet You, Japan Arena Tour) both of these are haunting, with vocals to match the mood

Oh I loved that comment "..that's a soccer dad moment.." when commenting on Taemin's belting LOL!!! You know, SHINee and ballads is from another galaxy, and that in a industry with so many great vocal lines, and yet SHINee outshines them all. I do look forward to more Jonghyun solo reaction this month, but also as a little treat, I hope you react to SHINee's cover of BAM's "Last Christmas"- is is a GORGEOUS cover, and yet they were so young. I don't remember if you have reacted to "Colorful", but that one is also an end of the year/Christmas-theme. As always, as soon as I see you react to "my guys" I drop everything to enjoy your journey into SHINee and their solo.

These are a few of the iconic live performances from shinee: evil from shinee world concert 3 (SWC3, performing with blindfolds on), stranger SWC4 (vocals) , dynamite SWC4 (a little surprise 🤭) , dream girl+runaway+ready or not+beautiful+321 SWC4(it's all one performance, fun and full of energy) and woof woof SWC4 (musical-like). Sleepless Night is one of my favourites! I also recommend Symptoms live from SW3. And I hope you'll react to more Jonghyun solo stuff. Sleepless Night is my all time favorite Shinee song and this performance is so dear to my heart, so as you can imagine, I am very thankful for this and thoroughly enjoyed it. I must imagine many many people have suggested Selene 6.23 to you, so I really suggest that if you do, you also check out Onew’s own cover in Sea of Hope. It is one of the most beautiful and heartfelt performances I’ve seen in recent years and, as always, his vocals are out of this world

Sleepless Night is one of my all time favorites from SHINee.❤ I'm always happy to see reactions that truly appreciate them and their talents. Thank you so much!❤ At the same time it makes me so proud that 15 years into their career, they are still improving and giving us live performances that are breathtaking and unforgettable.

Onew is leader…(and fake makae at the same time😆) It was the 18th not 17th btw. I’m loving your SHINee journey and appreciate that you want to celebrate Jonghyun but please be careful because it’s still a really difficult time for Shawols. Jjong has a natural vibrato, it’s not learnt so he’s able to carry that through where you wouldn’t expect it. Taemin, Onew and Jonghyun are the 3 tenors and Minho and Key are baritone… Key’s range is just outstanding. I do feel Minho isn’t getting enough credit. Although he doesn’t often do the falsetto (which he can) or the long runs (which he also can) as the others do, his deep chest voice adds the layers to the harmonies and brings it together complimenting the vocal runs from the others…and Key and Minho together with their chest voices is just shivers.. Minho has also covered parts from both Onew and Jonghyun at their latest concerts. Sunny Side live really shows Key and Minho’s vocals off but that was after Jonghyun so maybe save that one for later… it is great performance from all of them. One of my favourite songs with all 5 is Quasimodo live..I don’t think you’ve reacted to that one? I’ll put a link under in case you want to check it out.

I think you guys would reaaaally enjoy this ballad medley, though maybe for January, as it's post-2017: “If You Love Her” + “Beautiful Life (한마디)” + “Aside (방백)” here: watch?v=D2S5bFg8V5Q SHINee's ballads are really something, aren't they? (And don't feel bad about mistaking Jjong as the leader; you're definitely not the first! He was always the outgoing one who did a lot of the speaking for the group in front of the camera, though nowadays that role has shifted more to Minho. But as the actual leader, Onew is the one who communicates any issues from the group to their company, and quietly does a lot of things in the background that fans never find out about until maybe years later; he's also the one the members have always gone to with any emotional problems or for life advice. ...and in their very first dorm where they all slept in the same tiny room, Onew had the bed sandwiched right in between two sets of bunk beds, so the others would constantly step on his bed to climb up to or down from theirs. Minho also once accidentally stepped on his face. Onew's an absolute saint for not killing them during the very first years as a group and ending it all lmao)

Great reaction guys! Thank you. Everything you said about Onew, Taemin (my bias!!), Jonghyun, and Key is right on point. However, one of the reasons Sleepless Night is one of my favourite SHINee songs is actually due to Minho. No, not his spoken rap part. If you listen to the harmony sections of the album version of this song, especially with earphones, you will hear him as a steady base thrum. A wonderful counterpoint that completes the song! In my mind, his voice an anchor that allows his members' voices to soar.

It has been said that SHINee always sings like they are going through their Nth divorce, so you’d never go wrong with any of their ballads. In My Room was something they sang as rookies and the control Onew, Jjong and Key already had for that song is just amazing.

HIGHLY recommended rainy blue live cover by onew. He sang the song soooo beautifully in Japanese. One thing onew does really well is pouring his emotions into the songs so nicely it feels genuine not excessive and thats what he did im rainy blue 💙

looking back, it was by watching their concert videos that turned me into a shawol. they were 3 years into their career when i was totally blown by OnJongKey belting/harmonizing with their ballads (Quasimodo, Romantic, Life) 2min werent given more lines back then. Idk, they just hit different to me at that time compared to all the other kpop boy groups. pls do check out Like a Fire (SWC III) and Excuse me miss (SWC IV).

Thanks for all your reactions to SHINee and the members 💜 They are an absolutely phenomenal group. Their voices blend perfectly, dont they? I love it when Key lowers the sound level of his voice so you can hear all the beautiful tones. And it's nice to hear Taemin bring the power. (He's a beast in his solo concert.) Minho is the often subtle yet present descant that brings the SHINee harmony home. Onew and Jonghyun, no words needed to describe their vocal prowess. Some of my favorite harmonizing: Odd Eye and Evil 💜💜💜💜💜

@@WatchingSundays the part with Onew that you guys pointed out felt like he would go higher or do sth more, he was supposed to. You can listen to that bit in any other live performance to hear how it's supposed to be sung. They were quite tired at that point and had been singing live for the whole concert so he probably made a judgement call at that moment that his voice would crack/not do what he wanted it to so he didn't sing that line the way he usually does :)

@@sofeels_ Oh yeah, also to add - this would've been shortly before Onew's throat surgery (June 2014) to remove polyps, so his voice wasn't in a great condition then.

First, I loved this and vibed with you both the whole way through!! 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵 Really nice job🎉 Second, I think it would really help to have English subs on the video as you react to them. When the meaning of the lyrics are being understood at the same time as the incredible performance it provides a more intense and emotional experience. I've watched this video before and bawl my eyes out over the lyrics combined with their talent every time 🙌😭 I have a video suggestion, but will leave another comment 😉👍

If you would react to “Romeo and Juliet”Live from Shinee World V. It shows the vocal depth of Jonghyn. Onew as well. All are good but that performance shows how much music was a part of Jonghyun. It’s the last song of the concert. After 31/2 hours they prove why they are live performance masters. Onew is the group leader and responsible for keeping them together etc. Usually that means the person has some control over music assignments. Jonghyun did that for Shinee along with running most interviews. It’s something Onew wanted because Jonghyun was better at it. The oldest is usually the leader and although Onew said Jonghyun should be leader, he liked it and wouldn’t change the order. He’s older by 4 months so he’s Jonghyun senior. Jonghyun never wanted and would never disrespect Onew. They were close and respected each other very much. Onew was leader and the nicest, per Jonghyun admittedly. lol

Oh hey, here's an unusual recommendation that I actually don't think anyone has ever done a reaction to 👀: watch?v=BS8--obipMY This is an old singing TV variety show they (Onew, Jonghyun, and Key) were on in 2009, about a year after their debut; Onew and Jonghyun were 18 here and Key was 17. There's English subs, and it's mostly Onew and Jonghyun singing. It's super interesting to hear how talented they were pretty much right from the start, and to compare it to how their voices and technique would change down the line. I like your reactions, but just so you know, Jonghyun was never the leader of SHINee, Onew is the leader! Also, you should listen to the B-sides, they have some of the best songs there!
