I saw those respectable individuals gathered to commemorate LEKATIT 11, the beginning of their unyielding struggle to free the Ethiopian people form a primitive military rule. After defeating the Derg, they began infrastructure development that benefit the whole country and elevated Ethiopia to the twenty- first century. development. In my little mind, I think these individuals are self-less bunch and national heroes. It pains me to see the Infant PM (he was 15-years old at the time) and his clickes like Degu Andargachew and Mekkone Deneke attempting to undermine the contribution and scarifies they made while he he does nothing. Congratulations heroes, his vitriolic does not diminish your principles.
@@ferehiwot86 I do not haw old you were while Derg was in power. You can look-up the history of the country, it was an environment of total subjugation. You can not write, demonstrate, publicly criticize any one for fear that some one might come to harm you. Derg did not unite the country, instead, disintegrate it. The current government has no foundation to stand on if not for former officials who sacrificed a lot. While the majority in Ethiopia silently obeyed the Derg, TPLF fought and help form inclusive government. Not being able to recognize that is similar to anyone who expect something for nothing. Usually an elementary trick like this does not work. May be are reading different history books.
