It's so interesting - I'm 62, LOVE LOVE LOVE Rock and Roll, saw a ton of awesome concerts in the 70's, 80's, 90's and more but there isn't anyone I've listened to more consistently than Dimash since I discovered him 3 years ago. It's absolutely compelling that I have to listen to him every day (much to the chagrin of my family) and find more. I love watching reactors discover him and breakdown what they are hearing and feeling which confirms what I'm hearing and feeling. I've never felt this away about any of my favorites (sorry David Bowie, Tom Petty, Elton John, Jeff Lynne, Elvis Costello) - Dimash is like a drug you can't kick! I'm stoned on Dimash! Ha ha ha ha ha Thanks for your wonderful breakdown and reaction.

@@PrymalChaos Some onlookers stretch their imagination and call it a cult. I can speak for others like me that this accusation is nonsense. I've followed his progress since I Am Singer 2017 and love the consistency in his evolution as an artist. Does that make me religious? No. Does it make me a cultist? No. It just makes me a lover of great music from the best artist I''m privileged to witness in a very long time.

I feel the same way, I feel waves of energy when he sings, he touches my soul. I listen to him every day. He sings from a deep place, and his notes are piercing. I think singing is like meditation to him and he is so in the present moment, and I can feel that!

Those who say Dimash's music has no soul or he's a show off don't deserve mention at all. Giving them space in the commentary defeats the purpose of creativity in the arts and of artists like Dimash who work their butts off to bring beautiful sounds to listeners. Performing Arts is a strand in the Arts & Social Sciences discipline; serious music students know it is a useful skill to add to their toolbox. Dimash has it already, having dedicated his entire life to learning and training to hone his craft. Why some ppl seem to get off on dissing him I'll never understand. He's an independent artist who will sing what he wants rather than be dictated by any one genre, or record company. As a neo-classical crossover artist, he 'aint gonna dance to anyone's tune other than his own! get used to it people!

Yes he is intense and emotional. However, he is not showing off. If they watch him as a person, he is very humble. He puts on a performance, he feels the music, he works hard to know the lyrics and the meaning of the song even when he goes to sing in different languages. For me, I love the passion he puts into his work. I also love Chris Stapleton who just stands there and sings. Dimash however, brings me peace with his voice. His music, emotions, etc takes me completely away from daily events. In person, at a concert, he is mesmerizing.

I can understand that some cannot connect with Dimash on an emotional level. Especially when they first listen to songs like this with insane vocal acrobatics or songs he performed in a competition. Of course the focus seems to be on performance and showing off. But if you know him a little better you will see the emotions in these songs too. In general i think not everybody is able to feel Dimash. That’s not negative or judging it’s just what it is. It’s a bit like in this saying „Loving someone means being the only one to understand a miracle that remains invisible to everyone else.“ Well obviously more than one Dear understood that miracle but I think you know what I want to say. Talking about me, Dimash came into my life by coincidence at a point when I needed exactly this the most. I guess many Dears will agree on that and that explains the really strong emotions we feel conveyed by Dimash. After a while when you get to know his personality a bit more many of us fall in love with him and that makes the emotional approach to his performances and vocals much more intense. I‘m 50 years old now and I never followed an artist before, but now I can’t get enough of Dimash. I saw him live in concert once and he literally catapulted me into other spheres. It took me about one week to come back to earth and being able to have clear thoughts again. You might call me crazy but I never experienced such a thing at any other concert I attended. It’s a lifetime experience.

Yeah I think context matters greatly. What I'm learning is that his incredibly technical songs are the ones that go the most viral, and therefore many people are exposed to. Based on that people form their opinions and so many people aren't as. Familiar with his simpler, more passionate songs.

I really enjoy your breakdown, there’s a female singer that most reactors are reacting to, I don’t/can’t connect with her. I definitely say her voice is unique, but not enjoyable to my ears. With Dimash I have noticed you can appreciate his incredible talent or he warms your soul, his voice brings me joy, a diverse range of emotions, depending on the song. Ave Maria brings intense peace, others are fun, some very sad. His mother said that when Dimash is on stage, she hardly recognizes him, he becomes the character of the song, the Dears see that, on his face in his eyes and expressions. The high notes are expressing emotion, not showing off, when you get passed being shocked and let Dimash in, he can touch your soul ❤️

Dimash understands the importance of conveying the real story of music through performance. His total commitment to the story in appearance, dress, body language, and emotion is like a mini-opera. Or a Popera if you like. His intense operatic, blues, jazz, folk, world, and pop music training are all elements within the story. Every performance is a work of art that is very personal to him.
@orangewasejected8308

Dimash is unusual in that his music videos do not work in the way that hearing him live does. I find MVs leave me feeling as if Dimash isn’t truly performing but is staging it. He is most alive when he’s onstage and buoyed up by his dears. If anyone wants to see him genuinely emotionally invested then you’d need to see Daybreak (Bastau) Adai + Daididau (Bastau) Samaltau (Tokyo Jazz) Adagio (Singer) and perhaps, controversially Olympico from Arnau because he is so clearly in character throughout he couldn’t do this performance without an emotional connection. In general his Kazakh songs show him as real and authentic. There’s far less acrobatics yet dears recognise that Dimash puts his soul on display. I do find it baffling that anyone could say it leaves them cold because he’s all remote perfection. I usually presume they’ve heard very little of his work because it absolutely is the standout feature which causes dears to fall in love with him and his songs.

It was held outside, and it rained badly, but the fans waited to see him and he insisted on performing despite everything being turned off and wrapped in plastic. They used a full backing track, and he just sang alone on stage in the rain, and he talked to the dears in this lovely, wistful manner about how much he values them. It gives a real insight into who he is at heart. Here’s a link to the full Dimash part of the festival. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fEwU1oFlhU4.html

Dimash is a professional on a level that many of us can't imagine. He is creating a fantasy world in his "staged" videos; singing in front of a "green screen" is about getting it right, take after take.. I agree with OrangeWasEjected that his personal passion and vulnerability are so very visible in his live shows. When he does "Daididau" (Bastau), and bows down on the floor, with tears in his eyes, it takes my breath each time I watch it. "Daybreak", too, comes from the depth of his soul, and leaves me broken open; perhaps it takes having been broken to really absorb the impact of his music.

@@PrymalChaos Truth be told, his voice is even more impressive live in person. I attended his first solo concert in NY in 2019 and I must say that, in a way, the videos on RU-vid don’t do him justice: I was somewhat surprised by the sheer power of his voice, and delighted by his warm and funny interactions with the audience (unfortunately, some interactions were cut off in the official release of that concert - available on his official RU-vid channel). After that concert, I became a Dear for life! What I love about Dimash is how he immerses himself in the songs he sings. One ought to be blind and/or deaf not to see that, really! Because he understands on a deep level the songs he interprets, he chooses the best way to convey its meaning and emotion. Thus, he reaches his high register solely for the purpose of better conveying the intense emotion, whether it’s a cry for help, a yearning; or to express pain or loss, and for the climax. He definitely doesn’t need the high notes when it comes to singing (see “Qairan Elim”, his original and first directorial debut ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K45qdRAIWaM.html). His voice has so many colors and tone to it, not mentioning his vocal dynamics. To me, he’s not only a masterful vocalist, but also an amazing storyteller, as well as a soulful, genuine artist. I feel like some people will never be moved by any of Dimash’s performances, let alone recognize how much of a storyteller he is. Dimash loses himself in the songs he sings; but yet they don’t see or feel it, being both too analytical and too focused on how flawless his singing and techniques are (the irony). It’s precisely thanks to his mastery that Dimash is able to freely dive, and tap, into his emotions. Dimash is not merely a technical vocalist, but first and foremost a passionate vocalist who always gives himself to us in a live performance. That being said, Dimash is simply not for everyone: to each their own and that’s totally fine; which is the way it should be. Because Dimash’s voice and music resonate with me on so many levels, he’s able to move me to tears; which other mainstream singers aren’t able to. P.S.: Sorry for the long reply! 😅

Piergiuseppe Zaia wrote the soundtrack to an Italian-made movie entitled "Creators-Past." He was trying to find someone to sing this song and could not. One of his producers had heard about Dimash and listened to some of his music, then told him about Dimash. They sent a tape to Dimash, this was during COVID restrictions, and had to get three singers to put it together. The rest, as you can see, is history. Dimash did not want to go to Italy because he did not want to possibly expose his grandparents to Covid upon his return. He lived with his grandparents as well as the rest of his family and loves them dearly. You might be interested in watching a series of videos called "The Ultimate Guide To Dimash". It gives an in-depth view of Dimash from childhood with interviews with family, friends, associates, Dimash himself, former teachers, and many others who have worked with Dimash. There are 12 short videos and I think you will find it quite interesting.

Hi, I'm glad you continue the Dimash journey! When Dimash was asked about his octaves, he said that the most important thing is the emotions a singer is able to convey. And we all agree to that. For me, the first impression was, of course, the vocal ability. No one can do what he can and that's impressive. After listening some of his songs, the conclusion was that he's the best singer of all times. The range, the emotions, the technique, the stage presence, the devotion, the studies, the mic handling, the confidence, the ability to stay humble... and the list goes on. Of course in some songs he shows his crazy acrobatics, (many composers were thrilled about writing "out of the box" songs because now there's someone who can sing them) but that's art! You can't say to an actor to not play the role that good! Art is competing with yourself, try your limits and becoming the best of you. Thank you for your reaction. Take care.

The best singer is such a broad term to define, so I usually prefer not to label anyone with that. However there is no denying that Dimash is an epitome of singing: in terms of skill, technique, stage presence, range, voice, ability, emotions etc there are just mot many (if any) that can match him. There is only human’s taste as we are such a wide range of preferences being that make each us has different opinion of him. There is no doubt he can sing anything, even a Billie Ellish style of funky pop if he choose to, but no, it must be felt right for him as he said in interview before he could choose a song to perform. For most of us who keep listening to him, we found a magic of story or adventure in his singing from start to end. There are rarely repetitive sounds even if it is a repeat notes because he changes the vocal colour, one of the reason why we always feel like travelling with him to a different dimension: he is an expert in the contrast and vocal dynamic.

I know what you mean about that debate. There are millions of great singers out there who all sound much the same. To succeed, one has to stand out. With Dimash, it's his incredible range, and there is nobody who would have a capability with any instrument and say, "I'm not going to go outside the standard box because I don't want people to think I'm showing off." When people went to hear Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey, or Celine Dion, they didn't go to hear standard songs, they went to get blown away by the incredible notes and vocal gymnastics they're capable of. Because of Dimash's ability, those who write songs for him are obviously going to use that instrument's capabilities. In fact, the Director of this movie specifically wanted Dimash to sing this song and he sent Dimash a demo of it but he had to have 3 different singers record it because of the range needed! As to the emotion part of it, one has to be aware that he, and all performers, are professional musicians. That means they hear a song and often may have a very visceral, emotional reaction to it. Then, they have to spend hours and hours practicing that song before it's recorded or performed. When they start practicing, they practice with that initial emotion and weave that into the song. But, c'mon, nobody is going to get in front of an audience after singing a song 300 times and sing it with raw and real emotion like they had the first time they heard it. They practice every move and voice inflection to relay that emotion to the audience. But, there are many Dimash videos, such as Ave Maria, where you can see that he is lost in the song at the end and it takes him a bit to come out of it. So, this criticism that he isn't truly emotional could be applied to any singer, just some are better at "faking" the emotion than others, and those who don't care for a singer will say they see the fakeness while ignoring it in someone they do like.

I completely agree with you! A couple of years ago, when I first got acquainted with the work of Dimash, I came across a video review of a person who attended his concert. In short, the person said that "I will never go to Dimash's concert again, because he has practically no" normal songs "(i.e., as I understand it, songs performed in one octave). In almost all the songs, he seems to boasts of his voice. I was amazed by what I heard. Why, having such an unrealistic range, should Dimash hide it to please the dissatisfied? It's the same as saying at Povarotti's concerts "It would still be better if he sang like John Lennon or Eminem".

Sorry, I fail to understand this debate. There is no discrepancy between technically and vocally outstanding performances and emotions. Dimash is a highly emotive, story telling performer.

And BTW he's a good kid that didn't have people that gave him credit for his work actually he was told that he was not a great vocalist alot, through the years, there's videos of how hard judges, judge him at a young age because he was different, so yes, he's very humble because of it

I'm glad you mentioned Lara Fabian and Adagio. Dimash did a cover during the Singer 2017 competition. Both artists did a fantastic job of conveying emotion. I highly encourage you to check Dimash singing Adagio. His english was extremely limited, and there are a few mispronunciations, but the emotion is raw and believable. He leaves it all on the stage. One of his best performances in my opinion.

Another great reaction and analysis. The song is from the 2019 Sci-Fi movie "Creators: The Past." The director of the film and composer of the song, Piergiuseppe Zaia, had heard Dimash previously and insisted on having him perform this song. He prepared a demo version of the piece for Dimash, with the various elements sung by three different singers, given the limited vocal range of ordinary humans. Piergiuseppe Zaia discussed it in an interview that you can find here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4AP1Y1pv9bQ.html. The video has English subtitles available. His online live concert (Digital concert) is also worth watching. He uses some amazing 3-D visuals on stage that make it appear like he is at the bottom of the ocean standing among the ruins of an ancient city surrounded by fish and a Blue Whale.

In the recent interview with Dimash’s higher Self, Dimash said that he will expand his voice range when people are ready to receive those higher notes. Dimash’s voice is here to open people’s hearts and heal people. Pronunciation of Dimash’s name: DEE-MUSH. There is no one to compare Dimash to, neither before, at the present nor in the future. I think you're going to see a lot of crossover in interests among metal and Dimash fans, and don't need to worry too much about alienating certain groups. For example, there are a lot of other metal reactors who have been reacting to Dimash and loving it. It just comes down to an appreciation of great music without borders, no matter what they usually listen to. I happen to love Dimash and his music, but also Nightwish and Floor Jansen. And like you said, for the viewers for whom Dimash is not their cup of tea, then they will simply skip that episode and come back for the stuff they like. 😉 P.S. Part1 This song is the soundtrack for an Italian science fiction film called Creators- The Past starring William Shatner, Gerald Depardieu and Bruce Payne. In Creators: The Past, a fantasy film that deals with human history, Gérard Depardieu plays the Master of Faith. The film receives a sequel with Creators: The Present. The premiere was postponed due to the pandemic, took place on October, 2020 in Italy. Director Piergiuseppe Zaia composed the song (main song, he says it). The video was released in June, 2020. Zaia was looking for the best singer in the world ... (watch the video with the interview) When he found him, he sent Dimash a demo. 3 singers sang this song on this demo. The soprano ended up having problems with the pitch. Only Dimash can sing this song. 2021 the film was shown at the International Film Festival in China.

Dimash was trained as an Opera singer. He does not just sing the song. He "acts" it out. I can just as easily say to the people who think that he does not emotionally connect to the songs he is singing, that they, as listeners, are not connecting to what he is doing. The song was written for three different people ( parts) , but the director found Dimash and he did all the parts. You should check out two other MVs . Screaming ( which has another live version, (Screaming Idol Hits) , both great) and Be With me ( which is full of humour and contains Dimash doing Kazahk rap) . Also I recommend a very new song, Stranger. somewhat Gothic or mystical, and really addictive. Dimash has over 160 songs, and adds more all the time. he has his Masters in Music and is working on his Doctorate. He has studied music theater. Yes Adagio by Dimash is excellent. You could watch all his performances on I Am Singer 2017, he was 22 and nervous but stunned everyone.

The composer of Across Endless Dimensions is Piergiuseppe Zaia, initially composed this as an orchestral piece for his film, "Creators: The Past". It's on the soundtrack of the film. When asked about the song, Zaia said that it's about the Garden of Gethsemane. After lyrics were written for the composition (under the title "Across Endless Dimensions"), the composer said that the song, for obvious reasons, should be sung by the most beautiful voice in the world. His co-producer started googling for the most beautiful voice in the world, and she quickly came up with Dimash's name. After watching some of Dimash's youtube videos and being mind-blown, she showed them to Zaia, who immediately contacted Dimash's team. Zaia created a demo recording for Dimash to hear the song. It required 3 different singers to make the demo, and even then the operatic soprano couldn't reach the highest notes at the end. Dimash agreed to go to Italy to record this track for the film's closing credits. Sony released Dimash's track last year with a video, using green screen and FX in which Zaia inserted Dimash into scenes from his science fiction film...so lots of spaceships, aliens and such. It was released a new video Dimash's own creation/production, as he imagines the song. For me, this video seems closer to the original intent of the composition.❤️🎤🔝👏👏👏🌀☄️✨

"..a series of emotional moments strung together.." SO well said! You have a beautiful way of explaining and reacting to Dimash videos, that's why I'm such a fan of yours. I'm 57, a lover of a wide range of music genres from Rammstein to Pavarotti but since 2017 I became thunderstruck by Dimash, just totally infatuated. My playlists have dwindled down to almost only Dimash and it takes phenomenal talent to pull me away for a day or so. That sounds extremely biased but I think many Dears will understand what I mean. Emotionally I crave Dimash and my soul is lifted even if I am watching the same performance for the 500th time.

This is a sound trac to an Italian Si Fy movie. Creators the Past. It was ready to be released when c was announced, and everything shut down. The Producer wrote the music and sent out a couple of fellows with these instruction. "Find the most beautiful voice in the world" They went to Google, typed in the words, "most beautiful voice in the world" and Google replied with "Dimash Kudaibergen" They immediately emailed Dimash the score. He recorded for them and emailed it back to them. The Producer loved it and no other singer was even considered. Not an emotional song for him, just technical perfection. He is emotional about his family, his country and people in need.

Hi from Sydney 👋 This song was written and produced by Piergiuseppe Zaia, the director, writer and producer of the Italian science fiction film, Creators: The Past - Endless Dimensions. The song played during the closing credits of the movie. When they Googled the best singer in the world to sing his song, Dimash's name popped up. When he presented the song to Dimash, he needed three singers to cover the vocal range. Piergiuseppe was so taken with Dimash that he offered to bring him to Italy to perform concerts. Unfortunately, Covid intervened and not only delayed the screening of the film but put an end to Dimash's concerts, anywhere, until March this year.

This is from the film Creators of the past starring William shatner and Gérard depardieu. It was delayed due to covid. He has done a few soundtracks. Check out Couldn't leave. Dimash is very hard on himself, being classically trained he practices bon stop. Dimash is so thankful to the dears that when he performs he want to give them a show. He has turned down big name agents because he doesn't want his music to be departmentalised. He wants to do his own type of music, whatever he feels at the time. Screaming, be with me, golden are all more recent and pop sounding. But he is very proud of his culture and country and Dimash is at his best in the songs close to his heart. Also try Mademoiselle hyde, Your love and Ave Maria. Fab reaction from a United Kingdom 🇬🇧 dear x

I just saw this video and I enjoyed your reaction Look, about this debate about if Dimash shows off or not… of course he shows off He has worked hard his whole life to be able to do what he does. He then went on to a huge tv show in China to do what? Show the world outside of his own country what he can do. And also the other shows he has gone on to show off his talent And there’s nothing wrong with that. He cultivated his talent to get on stage and show it off He knows what he’s capable of and that when he’s on stage, he’s thrilling the audience. He can absolutely tell a story with a song and bring the emotion of that song. He has had me crying with some of his performances. I love love love him. And I think he’s a show off sometimes. So what? He has something worth showing off. To me, there’s nothing wrong with that.

Thank you for a very interesting, thoughtful video, and pulling out this exact debate. I guess it's all about how and when each person discovered a certain artist. Where they were and what they needed in their lives. First impressions, you know? For those of us who found Dimash, or whose lives he came into, at just the right time, who got to know him as a person, we will always FEEL his music. For us Dimash is 'emotions in a voice' and he has a note in his body for every feeling we can possibly feel. For those who don't feel that, who only hear Dimash's technical prowess, there is another artist out there for them who will connect with them on levels this deep. Another thing about Dimash is that he is a truly respectful, humble, kind and beautiful person. To the point of shyness and always steering attention away from himself; he gives his parents, grandparents, family and friends, his band, his team, us Dears, Igor Krutoy and others he has collaborated with etc all the credit and thanks. Evident also in his deep bows for the audience when he's on stage. You won't find out about all his charitable work from Dimash himself either. I had to get the right words together in my mind, before getting to this point; Dimash is a beautiful, wonderful human being. Very sensitive, empathetic and full of emotion. All of that shines out through his music, his voice and the notes he sings. That is the connection we have with him. That's why we feel him. Because it comes from inside Dimash. Lyrics have always been the most important for me; any genre, any artist/band, any era. The lyrics have to grab me and make me say, yeah I know exactly how that feels. Only two people have been able to do that for me, without lyrics or in languages I don't understand at all: Dimash and Gary Moore. Thank you for a great reaction 👌

I'm certainly learning through wonderful comments like this one exactly who the man behind the voice is. I'm glad that he appears to be earning the devotion that he seems to attract from all over the globe. His DEARS discuss him with the fervour of disciples of a religious icon. Not only for his talent, but for who he is behind the voice. I have seen this first hand in my comment sections! I have no issue with that, but part of me always hopes that any human afforded that much devotion is deserving of it when the cameras aren't rolling. I'm beginning to understand that that authenticity is part of his charm.
@lms1144
@lms1144 2 года назад
@@PrymalChaos Yet again you bring up points that really make me (us) think deeper. What is it about Dimash though? Why does he get this much devotion? What is his magnet? That voice counts for a lot. He doesn't only have the range, but each and every note he sings, each vocal type he uses, is just so beautiful, pure and precious. Dimash uses his voice to tell the story and to make us feel the song. Sorry if this becomes half a book of a reply. There are other artists who are just as kind, humble and decent. As I said before, it probably has to do with how and when Dimash entered any given life. As for myself, and as one of the religious folk, I truly believe he was sent into my life at the exact moment I could find nothing but jet black darkness. 2 and a half years later, I still thank God every day for this light from Kazakhstan that burst into my life with so much energy and charm and the most gorgeous voice I've ever heard. However, that's only my story. Each Dear has their own story of why Dimash is special to them. The other thing is maybe also that Dimash is a relief. Sadly, a lot of our lives we get to do know 2 kinds of people: the plain wicked, nasty, heartless kind, and those who only show a silent rage in everything they do - but inside beats the kindest, most loving hearts and we have to find, dig for and discover that beauty inside them. Dimash is neither of those. There is no mask, no darkness or hiding. You wondered what he's like when the cameras are off. Big picture comes to mind. How he grew up, what he was taught and his entire mindset certainly plays a role. This is where a lot of the relief and refreshment comes in regarding Dimash; knowing that there are still households who live together in peace and harmony. Knowing that there are teachers who focus on morals before maths. Knowing that there are artists who are actually ok, not depressed or unhappy. This is what Dimash shows us is possible. At the age of twelve he was asked what his biggest dream was. His reply: My dreams have no limits. I wish to be well educated and get to the heart of the nation. A teacher told of Dimash never having lunch at school because he would use all his money for lunch then hand it all out to all the other kids who had none. His quotes and sayings are utterly profound with the kind of wisdom found only in grandparents, animals and mountains. Getting back to the big picture, it all shows that who he is at home, with friends, alone etc has to be the same as in public - just without the showmanship. Goodness, authenticity, honesty and trust are just naturally Dimash. I know I sound very sure about things going on behind closed doors, it's just hard to imagine someone with this kind of mind and heart could be any different out of public view to the person we know in public view. Again, sorry for the mile long read, and thank you very much for your insights and awesome videos 👏👌

One of his earliest videos, the CGI was super professionally done. It does not even come close to his videos that tell the story of his homeland, such as Quiran Elim, Duderaz, Samaltau, and many others, but it is still noteworthy for its mere existence. Believe me, he has many songs out there that tear him and his audience apart emotionally. You'll find them and know them.

Indeed, some people are left completely indifferent by Dimash's performances. I think it's also a matter of immersing yourself in the performance and accepting to receive the music and emotions that are sent to you. Some people hear, but they don't listen - my dad is like that. It's not their fault, it's just that they can't focus and accept to at least try to look for and catch the energy the artist is sending. For me an emotionless artist is someone who doesn't send anything, so even when you actually make an effort to catch the feelings there's nothing. Dimash definitely doesn't require a huge effort (the emotion is everywhere : in his body, on his face, in his eyes, in his sound, in his lyrics), but if you're not wanting to listen there's a good chance you'll miss the message he's carrying. You can't just settle yourself in your sofa and wait for the miracle to happen. You also can't wait for the song to make you move and dance around because it's not that type of music. You need to invest yourself as much as he invested himself in the performance. You can also fall asleep to his soothing voice and hear the emotion in it, of course - Amanat for example is the perfect song for this ahah - the important part is that your focus is on the voice and the song, and not on what sauce you're going to eat your pasta with for dinner.

People always get confused by me because they think that I listen to American pop music (I don't), they're surprised when they find out I listen to Heavy Metal and Rock, even my husband when we first started dating, he would always get surprised when I knew so many songs. Now I listen to Kpop (Korean Pop music) and Dimash (So much music and each one is special to me) If you have the skills, is it really showing off? To me Dimash doesn't just add things to add them, he adds them because that is how he interprets the song to himself, how he connects emotionally himself to the song. To me, I may not connect emotionally to every single song but when I watch Dimash, I can see his connection with his face, his body movements, his hands. Like I've heard this song several times now but this time when he went breathy in the middle of it, I started crying. Not everyone will like what I like and that is fine, but people get disrespectful about it and that is crossing the line.

i am truly positve surprised, that many Comments start with :for me- an Thing i normally dont read , when Dimash Die Hards come in, there is normally more: Dimash is best rest not worth to mention, thats religion, bow to it, i am right by any means. I personally go with Video Title Second Choice to 70% , Tech, Train, everything absolute top notch- Emotions- staged for me like said. Any Concert even so called unplugged you see there the crowd sits silent or is like handsorted in terms of reactions- for me.for me.for me. Its sad for me personally, bcs i really want to like him, i miss Pavarotti like hell. Lets see what Journey he goes on, and in the Years to come, when perhaps switching Production Companies, perhaps it gets more authentic for me. If not, he makes so many ppl out there happy and emotionally engaged, so alone for that, he got to be honoured a lot.

You're not alone. What's fascinating to me is that that division seems so black and white. Some people sense a kind of inauthentic cheesiness. Others have a religious experience. At the end of the day, you're right. Dimash is still a young man. It will be interesting to see how he evolves over time. It's important to remember that artists are human. They evolve and mature over time. (maybe not Gene Simmons - Lol) Also it seems that most of the 'technical' performances are the ones that go most viral, do maybe the truth lies in some of his other material. Less production, more heart. I aim to find out.

People preface their posts with "for me...." to avoid being accused of dictating how others should respond to a Dimash performance. Dears are constantly faced with the ridicule, verbal abuse, labelling even name calling by others who don't like Dimash's style or his music. These imo are keyboard warriors who don't bother to enlighten themselves first with a little bit of research before attacking the artist or his fans. Education is key. That's another reason I follow this young man, his thirst for knowledge in his chosen field has brought him to where he is today and he doesn't rest on his laurels. no one can fault him for that.

@@PrymalChaos Gene Simmons did get his Genes( :D) set to frost:) as you can see, i really try to get it-sidenote: cross Reaction Commenting: if he go on Stage with Floor, doing an Composition(s), Tuomas do for them, with Marco on Bass and Jukka on Drums, ofc our classic Wrestler Emppu on Guitars, and the London symphs and choirs in Backround, i would pay an absolute fat amount of Money to SEE and HEAR that:)

Lara Fabian's Adagio is great and passionate Dimash 's version is the same. Autumn Strong ( at Arnau) or Daybreak ( at Bastau ) are very emotional. love your reactions and point of view.

Hi there, it's from an Italian SciFi Movie launched during covid, so unfortunately it didn't get the praise it deserves despite the great OST and well-known international actors. The Director Piergiuseppe Zaia (see above) not only has composed the music but has also chosen Dimash as the only singer capable to perform a song for which you would normally need three people :) I wish you would RE-EDIT THE WEIRD TITLE IN YOUR SUBJECT LINE. Di for sure is an excellent technician, otherwise he would not be able to sing this way without damaging his voice and achieving such phenomenal results. But for sure this DOES NOT exclude passion! All in all I like your comments :) Cheers from a Dear in Vienna!

I didn't read all those comments before mine, so sorry if iI am the second or third one mentioning this: this song was for the movie 'Creators; The Past' with William Shattner and Gerard Depardieu. Three people were called in to show this song to Dimash, because one was not enough to cover the range of this song.. well Dimash is the one, who can do it all by himself and he is incredible. He never 'shows off'. If you want to see a really humble person, that's Dimash for you!

It's no problem really there are a lot of comments that repeat others but there is quite often a small piece of the puzzle in there that others have missed.

Hello, there are no subtitles, which makes it difficult for me to fully understand. But if there is something that Dimash possesses, it is his ability to transmit emotions, of any kind, his delivery on stage, for me is wonderful, and that reaches us deeply. More than his perfect vocal technique, Dimash transmits to me what he is singing.

Hi! Sorry I looked into it. It seemed like Subtitles were set up, but somehow not working. It should work now. I tested on my PC and phone. Sorry for the inconvenience! I know I talk fast! 😆

Many of the early videos are from competitions. Dimash spoke in an interview about song choice and performance for competitions. Judges look for specific things in those completions but when he sings those same songs in his concerts, there is a difference. He still uses his many vocal skills but his emphasis is on conveying his emotions to his concert audience.
