I love how Dimash upstaged the lead guitarist during his solo by going higher than him! This is early Dimash, not as polished as he is now, but I love many of the episodes from this show I Am Singer 2017, he is so young and incredibly courageous to go to the foreign world of China.. But it was a genius move because after he opened the show with SOS, episode 1, he became an overnight star in Chinese countries, and they adore him to this day, he is actually working there now. All his Chinese numbers are extraordinary! I think that's possibly the best reaction to Dimash I've seen in a long time. I'm a longtime metal head but became a huge Dimash fan from the moment I heard him. My advice would be to check out Olympico (the concert version) if only for the war drums and Stranger because it's eerily epic. I've subscribed both for your metal content and for Dimash. Glad to see you react to Dimash. He was 22 yrs old when performed this song. For low notes react to Stranger released at the New Wave competition for young singers in Sochi Russia in 2021. He was a judge. He also released Ave Maria and Fly Away at the same event. He sang Stranger again different version at the 20th Jazz Festival 2021 in Tokyo. Dimash did a cover of a famous Japanese song called lkanaide. It was in honor of the Japanese people. Original singer was Koji Tamaki. Dimash has received rave reviews from the Japanese people. Dimash dares with all styles (even rap) and never disappoints, even though his favorite combination is really opera-pop-traditional music; in any case he is always attentive to arrangements and production; and when playing drums among other instruments as well. Dimash is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition and it is about to start his doctorate in Musicology. He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but respectfully turned it down to pursue his own more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 12 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. Great reaction! Dimash was 22 at the time of this performance; he’s 27 now and his voice has matured along with him. Most of his Singer performances showcase his amazing vocals - check out “Daybreak” and “Autumn Strong on the Gloria Wu channel, which gives the backstory of the songs. “Daybreak” in particular will bring a tear to your eye. Another amazing performance is his version of Lionel Richie’s “Hello” from the 2018 Singer show, at which he was a guest performer. If you want some of his newer stuff, try “Stranger” (in English) from August 2021 or “Ave Maria,” which I can guarantee won’t be what you’re expecting! He has whistle notes in 3 octaves (6,7, and 8), he sings in the 2nd and vocal fry in the 1st. Oh yeah in stranger he belts in F#5 for 19 seconds without falter . He was 22 in China.Has now sung in 15 languages .

I recommend checking his channel for more recent videos. Stranger would be a good one, His English has improved alot from 2017 on that show. He really does not have a genre he does all styles of music. I hate when people have to be pigeonholed into one category like BTS is stuck in kpop and they also do everything so annoying.

He had only one week to learn the English for this song. At the time he only knew hello my name is Dimash. He did the musical arrangement with his friend Erlan to make it his “own”. Freddy had a 5 octave range but Dimash has over 7 now. He is the most versatile performer ever, from rock and rap to classic crossover and opera. He even performed with the Kazakh Rappers when he was about 18 and sang rap and opera in the one song and made it sound awesome. Only Dimash can do that. He has Kazakh rap in Be With Me and some versions of “Screaming” He sings full on opera with other opera singers as well. I strongly dislike opera but a famous Russian composer who came out of retirement after hearing Dimash sing just to work with him, wrote an opera piece called Ogni Pietra ((or Olímpico) just for him. It is more “popera” as Dimash performs it as only Dimash can, and the music (if you listen to his concert version Arnau concert 20/6/2019 that says Dimash and Igor Krutoy) the music (the drums are awesome) and Dimash’s theatrical delivery make it absolutely epic and stunning.

Dimash began his classical vocal training at age 5 and continued until after he turned 25. He was 22 in this performance. Before heading to China, he was chosen by the Kazakhstan Govt. to be their official ambassador to China. He has also trained in contemporary vocals. He has an Under Grad and a Masters, (in music compositon) He is currently working on his Doctorate. So he is highly talented, incredably intelligent and is also an athlete, male model and the list goes on. He has now expanded his range to 7 octaves plus 2 notes. Well, that was this past summer so since he is always actively training to expand his range, he may be past the 2 notes now. He will begin his DQ show in Dubai, at the Coca Cola Center March 24th. Dimash, like many Kazaks, is Eurasian and is 6'3"+ tall. You may have noticed his height next to the fabulous guitarist who played for him in this video. You may hear him sing opera, Michael Jackson songs, French contemporary opera, Kazak folk songs, many compositions of the Maestro Igor Krutoy and the list goes on. Both of his parents are singer's and his mother was also classically trained. His father, Kanat, is in this audience in this performance and they show him a couple of times.

Just remember that this is Dimash’s 2nd song sung during the Singer competition in 2017 at age 22. His English wasn’t too good because of his accent but Dimash knows what he’s singing. So if you start in 2017, this is where he came to fame. He is 90% better now at age 27. People who only speak English can’t speak it properly. Dimash has been professionally trained since age 5 and I have seen videos of him training. It wasn’t easy but it’s something Dimash loves to do. So, check out when he first started in 2017 and then his many solo concerts around the world since the competition ended at the end of 2017. He is the best talented and humble singer in this entire world. I am 64 and have watched so, so, much of Dimash. He’s working on his Doctorate degree now. He will keep you on the edge of your seat. Who is Dimash Qudaibergen? Dimash's birthday is on May 24. Height: 1.91m; 6'3 '. He has been training in music since he was 5 years old. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. Dimash also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has recently completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition. He graduated with honors’, having achieved a perfect pitch. He has composed 12 of his own songs so far and is currently working on his doctorate. We have to call him soon Doctor Dimash Qudaibergen. 😃 Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in his family. He speaks Kazakh (mother tongue) and Russian (without accent, second language in Kazakhstan), is learning English and Mandarin (dancing and Mandarin are difficult for him). So far, he sings in 13 languages. He trains his voice for 3 hours every day, has a perfect pitch. He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, contralto, soprano. His current range is almost C1 - D8 (out of piano)! At least, that show us Dimash. 😃 Dimash is humble, kind, generous, respectful, reserved and very, very hardworking. He donates a lot of time and money to charity, supports people in need and always does so quietly. We only find out because some people feel the need to talk about it. Go on the journey. FYI this show was a competition for seasoned, popular Chinese professional singers with their own fan bases. Stiff competition. Dimash was the first foreigner ever to perform on this show, was invited as a wildcard to add interest to the show and wasn’t expected to last more than two episodes. As the least known singer he was first up to perform in the first episode in 2017. He gave an incredible performance of SOS, won that episode against all the odds and the rest is history - an overnight sensation in China and the beginning of a global fan base.🙏🏻🇦🇺

Oh you've only scratched the surface of what Dimash is capable of doing. I suggest you listen to his works in chronological order and see just how much he improves as he goes. Hi! Me again :) Congrats on over 1k subs. I am so happy to see your channel grow so much. But you have yourself to thank, cause your reactions are always very good and we always enjoy them. I am also really happy to see you actually reacted to Dimash on your channel. If you will continue to react to him I am sure a lot of people will be happy and just like you said, is just another form of extreme vocals. But i get where you come from. I am a huge Dimash fan but I have to feel in a certain way to listen to his amazing music and i need to be really focused on it to be able to enjoy it to the fullest. On the other hand, I can always listen to Slaughter to prevail (STP) or to Jinjer and feel the music right away. Actually I usually fall asleep listening to Alex Terrible either doing his famous covers or singing with STP. Talking about Alex Terrible, I think it would be a lot of fun to see you react to some of his covers. His project Russian Hate is amazing and just as good as STP. Plus beside the amazing vocals you can get some extra humor which is always welcomed especially these days.
