What is bringing up a topic at a school board meeting have anything to do with trying to be God. That’s the problem parents want teachers, school officials and government to be clergy to their kids too. @@audio3980 for sure. I understand where you're coming from as well, though trans is still the minority despite the current craze, so technically speaking "trans" are the exception. On that note, kids aren't trans until people begin medical intervention. Prior to that they just have issues such as gender dysphoria, body dysmorphia or a casual case of gender non-conformity. Kids should never be medicalized nor be labeled as trans. So-called gender affirming care is ridiculous. Whenever my daughter hears some crap about it, she mocks it with, " I identify as a Pikachu." Lol
I'm so happy that they could protect their children, I wish other schools would make this decision as well. School is a place for education, not discussions on sexuality and gender identity.

I recently snatched up my little sister because she figured out some way of hacking the parental control on the phone, hid the TikTok app and has been actively using it behind our parents back. Where did she learn to do that? In school by other tech savvy kids. But they worried about LGBT 😂 OMG they have no idea what those kids be doing on their own. If any of their kids play games and happen to go online they should just take a second to listen to how they speak on there. It's garbage smh. Considering social media, news, movies, peer interaction, public libraries these students most likely already know far more than those parents objecting to school boards. Instead of being hysterical protect them with love and help them to make safe choices for themselves whether they're gay or straight. That's just great parenting.
Just include everybody in history. No need to label it. The powers that be are going to always push back because that's somebody else they have to share the sunlight with.
I don't get why LGBT history can't just be taught in the normal curriculum in like a lesson or two. Why would there need to be a whole month dedicated to it?
I mean there is also black history month, national Hispanic heritage month, asian pacific American heritage month, national women's history month, national American Indian month. An they are all acknowledged in schools. My sister brought home a whole paper for each of these during their months so we cancel all those to? Pride month is not about sex it's about the legitimacy of being acknowledged as a human being and not beaten to death because of what we do in our personal relationships. The reason this is such a mess of things is because of wack a** Tiktok. Stuff gets out of hand because some big time "influencer kids" see that can bank on other kids who are in the time in their life were they are influenced easily so they think they are this and that and it forces these kids to do, change and speak all kinds of ways. fantastic news. Well done the parents and that board. Childrens lives and innocence are precious. They need to be allowed to grow and develop naturally until they decide what they want their lives to be as adults. it is not for the Trans Cultist to indoctrinate them at an age when things like this should not be on the agenda.
I think the best way to help alleviate these problems is to require that those running for school board be citizens within those districts and that they have at least one child attending public schools within that district. In other words, you must have a dog in the fight. All too often, board members are nothing more than political animals trying to work their way through the local political system using it as a stepping stone, without having any children in the school system. They base their decisions on not what is best for our children but, what is best for their political careers.
