I was a school cop. I was investigating an alleged child abuse by a teacher. The principal tried to make me feel guilty about what might happen to the teacher if charged with a crime. He was attempting to deter me from investigating a crime against a child, because it might hurt the suspect teacher's reputation. Hawley is doing the same thing- he is trying to excuse threatening behavior by making Garland ashamed of doing his job of prosecuting crines.
