Defensive weapons, Have to be under strength 7 _or_ be a pintle weapon. So pintle mounted multimelta is fine to return fire. Se page 206 in the rulebook.

Not sure if anyone wrote it already. Don't forget that Instant death only prevents feel no pain damage mitigation rolls. Shrouded damage mitigation rolls are prevented by weapons with ignores cover.

@@SNBattleReports Yeah, at 1:19:45, lascannons from a land raider are fired at terminators and DC was correct in choosing to evade as he would have a 5+ invulnerable save and a 5+ shroud from evading. The mistake was that Instant death (caused from strength 9 lascannons) prevents shroud damage mitigation rolls.

@@SNBattleReports y'all played it where you did not get your shrouded saves vs. the lascannons at that point because the lascannons cause instant death. This is incorrect. evade gives a shrouded save which is only ignored if an attack ignores cover, so you should have got your 5+ damage mitigation role against those lascannons.

Just a rules reminder - during the Praetor slapfest, the EC should have been rolling multiple saves due to the thunder hammer's Brutal

Had you remembered about the Thunder Hammer being brutal 2 it might have gone the other way in the end (not mentioning Iron Havocs being BS5, roll off for EC special reaction and few other minor mistakes). I know theese have been mention multiple times, but Likes for the Likes God, Comments for the Algorythm Throne!!!!!1111 Also, great battle report, awesome looking armies!

Great game. I think the Emperor’s Children advanced reaction (41:35) was played wrong, both players roll off and whoever rolls highest gets to charge (with a draw favouring the EC).

Yes the EC adv reaction was played wrong…. You both roll to charge but if the EC rolls higher he charges. You also forgot the a thunder hammer on the IW was brutal 2 - being the reason you take it.

Wow that Emperor's Children army is gorgeous! I love love love all of the unique conversions! I was thinking of doing a similar thing to what you've done to your squad of Veterans, with the Rubric Marines, in my Blood Angels, but sadly I can't really do that because of the fact that both legions are red in HH and people would mistake them for Thousand Sons :(

Loving your batreps ❤ Maybe a bit late with these but: Shrapnel bolters shoot only 18" so rapid fire distance is 9" and the warsmith has a servo giving one S8 ap2 attack in combat. AND Iron Warrior lascannons are s10 ap2 against vehicles with sunder

This is a good matchup. I feel the game is much more balanced if you ignore UM, IF, DA, and BA (to a lesser extent). But Loyalist EC?! That's hard mode.

Loved the game! But heads up, pintle weapons, regardless of strength, are defensive weapons, meaning you can overwatch/return fire with a pintle mounted multi-melta.
