EMPLOYER NOMINATED VISA 186 (DIRECT ENTRY)

Hi Mate, I'm in Australia on 489 visa and due to delayed processing time of 887 visa, I intend to opt for 186 visa (Direct Entry) as I'm have a full time employement in my Engineering profession. Do I just need to speak with the employer to nominate me. Will they give me a letter, or they will process my nomination and post receipt of confirmation I need to pay the visa fee.

Is the number of seats which is allocated to any particular occupation in the occupation ceiling is coverd by only 189, 190 and 491 state sponsorship and family sponsorship visa? Or Is there any other visa also which can take some seats from allocated seats in occupation ceiling? For eg. I am civil engineer and they had allocated around 3900 seats for civil engineers so in this case, all this 3900 invitations will be given through only 189, 190 and 491 state sponsorship and family sponsorship visa?

i have 2 years of part time and 2 years of full time experience inside Australia as a developer. i found somewhere on the internet that a year of part time employment is counted as 6 months of full time employment in a pro rata basis. is it true? Thanks for the video. it is very helpful.

You need to make an updated video about this visa. Labour market testing will be mandatory from 1st October for 186 visas too. Kind regards
