The Australian Government has announced extra 1 year post study work visa if you graduate from a regional University. So For the extra 1 year post study visa, it is mentioned that 1. Eligibility will include international students who studied at a regional campus of a metropolitan university. 2. The additional post-study work arrangements will become available in 2021, and will require ongoing residence in a regional area. Does it mean that after getting a degree from regional University like University of Wollongong, can you can work in any city like Sydney and stay in Wollongong and travel for work? Nowhere it is mentioned that you have to work in regional area when you are in subclass 485. Will you still get 1 year extension on Subclass 485 post study visa?
Hello, I took my TOEFL exam more than two years ago (February 2018), the exam provider institution (ETS) states that scores more than two years old cannot be reported or validated. However, Australian Immigration states that I need to show them evidence that I achieved the minimum required score in the last three years. Do I need to take an English exam?

Sharon Muchiri I am Not 100 percent sure if I understand your question but generally speaking if you are offshore and your husband is here, you can lodge a subsequent student visa.

Hi mam As you said ielts scoresheet have 3 years validity. But on ielts scoresheet clearly mention about its validity like 2 years. So can i put ielts scoresheet which is 2.5 years old for tr 485psw?

That’s correct Natalia. If you were granted your first student visa in 2007 you won’t be able to lodge the 485 in post study stream. However you can still lodge this visa under graduate stream but you will need a positive skill assessment in an occupation which is on MLTSSL list. Please feel free to call me to discuss. Pradip Adhikari you may not need to provide Biometrics as this visa is not on the list of visas where Biometrics is requested. As 485 visa has a very minimum genuine temporary entrant criteria that needs to be met, you may be able to get the 485 dependent visa even though you have a previous refusal. However, It will also depend on your whole profile.
