Great video, I’m glad I found your channel. I’m moving over from New Zealand in December. Very helpful as I have no knowledge of employment in the UK in general. This video had everything I needed. Just wondering does this cover foreigners on the youth mobile visa?

Great to hear and wishing you a safe trip over from New Zealand. I'm not 100% sure wether the laws covered would be relevant for foreigners on the youth mobile visa and wouldn't want to misinform you.

Thanks for the video,very helpful.Could you tell me what's the difference with national minimum wage & national living wage?

Great question, The National Minimum Wage is the minimum pay per hour almost all workers are entitled to. The National Living Wage is higher than the National Minimum Wage - workers get it if they're over 23. It does not matter how small an employer is, they still have to pay the correct minimum wage.

Hi. Great channel! Re employment law, does an employers duty of care specific to issues of occupational health relate to ALL duties of an employee, or merely those under the terms of his contract? (I have protected characteristics under EA2010)
@TwoTeachers

I would check with an employment lawyer, however as far as I understand the duty of care extends to all duties performed by an employee, not just those explicitly mentioned in their contract. Hope this helps but I just make videos on RU-vid so I would check with someone legally trained to help you further! 😃

If a business decides to make national redundancies across the business does anyone that has handed in notice prior to the redundancies to still qualify for the same rights ? I’m in a position where I have handed in notice and between handing it in and working my noice they have made redundancies in my job role and I have not offered to myself.I can’t find any cases on tribunal on anyone in my position where does someone working notice still qualify for the same rights or is this given up when the notice is handed in? Many thanks 🙏

It sounds like you need to find some legal representation from a profession or a union. Hope it works out for you.

Employers are too fussy these days. You have plenty of companies out there with not enough employees or few who are failing to hire people due to lack of "qualifications" crap (where qualifications are not that essential) , or other insecurities crap the Gay-Gov has fed them on. Despite being perfectly able to do such roles.
