Somewhere in England. 1914 - 1918?
Several shots at the former home of Empress Eugenie, wife of the late Napoleon III, which has been turned into a hospital for soldiers (?) and war wounded.
A wounded man sits in a wheelchair on a terrace. A monk gives him a cigarette and lights it. A nurse hands out cigarettes to wounded and recuperating soldiers sitting on a bench outside the house. Nice footage of the men enjoying their ciggies.
Modified WPA record.
