Ha Ji won is of course excellent as Empress Ki, and Ji Chang wook as Ta Hwan is a revelation, he's so good in this drama, probably due to his musical theater background that is why he is a versatile actor.

OMG! A very touching song from a Filipino Composer & Songwriter, Sir Ogie Alcasid from the Philippines, "Pangako" (Promise). I have a translation of this Telenovela in a CD in my language. This was an amazing, heart raging, gruelling, filled with suspense and rapid action stints. Not only that, it tored my heart several times due to their suppressed & controlled emotions of not letting go. It gives me heartaches and several laughs as well, especially during encounters with Sunyang & the Emperor Thogon. It is always expected that Chinese stories often ended in tragedies instead of happy-endings, coz that is sometimes the true picture of life.
I've watched also this drama for how many times it's my favorite drama ever..although I couldn't understand Korean language but I love watching..the music is very nice..there's Tagalog music same tune..

I don't really like translated versions of songs, bcos they tend to come out differently in terms of messages. But I think this version, whatever they meant in Koreans did fluttered the hearts of Koreans. The orig title 'Pangako' is 'Promise' in English, that's 'Yaksu' in Korean, right? So the title 'For Your Love' doesn't click on it's message, since the song is about one's promise of love, devotion and forever to it's beloved -- more on a courtly love than mutual one.

Sadest ending... after all the hard work they did, they still lost the war and emperor died and the best regent died... made my cry so so so sad 😭 hope to see a season 2 regent Tal Tal alive and empress Ki son grew up just like his mom...
Shakness! Was thinking why do I know the song then I remembered this is from Ogie Alcasid, Pangako(Promise). The title is still nice though, it fits the drama.
