Very nice ride through the Cove. Thank you. You have a great narrative voice which makes your videos pleassant to watch. I truely enjoyed the added piano music. Was a relaxing video to watch. Ashame the bears weren't out to greet you today. 😢
My wife and I really enjoy your videos! We just discovered them. We have been there and in the Smokies many times but never in the winter months. It was beautiful. THANKS
Thank you for this beautiful video we so enjoyed it we love the cove and have rode it many times on our lectric bikes your channel has become our favorite to watch God Bless
Brought back great memories of Summers and Christmas with my Grandparents in the cove. Grandaddy loved Cades Cove and knew several of the families before they left. Thank you!
Loved the video. The mountain ranges covered in snow was beautiful. How exciting to see all the deer and turkeys. Thanks for braving the cold to take a bike ride in the cove to share with us.
Every time we visit Cade's Cove (once each summer), I am struck by the natural beauty of the landscape. I always think "If there are places this beautiful on the Earth, how stunning must the beauty of Heaven be?" We speak often about retiring to East Tennessee. If we do, I could see us heading up to Cade's Cove several times every year. I received a book about that area for Christmas, and reading the true stories in it makes me want to be there even more.
Enjoy the book! We plan to do more videos here this year as we love going on Wednesdays when they close it down for just bikes & pedestrians, it's our favorite time to go!
Next time you go through Cades Cove walk through the cemeteries and read the dates of death on the headstones. I believe the Cove population was hit hard by the Spanish Flu of the 19 teens.
@@StevenSmith-pt8rz We did that at one of the primitive churches in the Cove, and it's shocking how old some of those gravesites are. I recall seeing lots of loose change and even some paper currency placed on several of the markers. Not sure what that tradition is all about. We were intrigued by it.
I loved this video! I can’t believe that other than a couple of vehicles that were ahead of you, basically you had the Cove all to yourself! It was so relaxing to watch and I loved seeing all the animals you captured on video. My husband and I always enjoy watching your videos. You have such a sweet family and you do an awesome job narrating your videos. Stay safe!
Glad you got to see quite a bit of wildlife. The last few times we were there, we hardly saw any. Many years ago, when I was a lot younger, you could go to Cades Cove and see hundreds of deer. They were all over the place. An occasional bear. Bears were really rare back then. My mom would get a piece of paper and make columns for deer, turkey, and others and keep up with the total that we saw. That was her favorite thing to do besides looking at God's beautiful creations and being with family. She has been gone only 4 years today, but seems like an eternity. A couple of times we saw up to 180 deer. The rest of the times was 80 to 100. I'm talking about at least 55 years ago. I don't know where all of the wildlife has gone. Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed it, as I do all of your videos. I hope you got thawed out. Next, getting something to cover your face from the cold. 22 tonight in the NW Florida Panhandle. Great job. God bless ❤
We have always liked the Cades Cove videos you have shared. This one I would say is number one. Beautiful mountains and wildlife. Ice makes unique sculptures. Without watching again I would say 40 plus deer on this trip. Thanks Ryan. Even after 11 visits we have not drove the Cades Cove loop yet. So many things to do and see when there.
Cades Cove is a favorite place of mine up there. I was surprised there wasn't more snow everywhere than there was. I lost count of the deer but I do know it was well more than 20, probably closer to 30 deer.
My wife and I honeymooned in Townsend 30 years ago. When you rode through the cove back then, you would "easily" see a hundred deer at dusk. It was pretty amazing. You could park and all at once they would just materialize every where in the fields.
I am really enjoying the winter videos. This one was especially enjoyable with the beautiful scenery and the music. You knocked this one out of the park! (A little "dad" joke) 😆 Thank you for braving the elements to bring us these videos.
What a great video, thank you! We absolutely loved riding along with you through a beautiful wintery Cades Cove. Good job getting out there and still riding in the cold. Bicycling is the best!
Have biked the loop many times over the last 50 years. The electric bikes look very appealing, especially as we age. Did motorcycles for 50 years (sport bikes and cruisers) but the E Bikes look like they could even be more fun in certain places.
Thank you for the video. Such a beautiful place. It would have been nice to have seen more of the structures, especially around the Cable Home and Mill. But just to take the rtide was great! I remember so much of it. I am glad they are still preserving the buildings, land and history - I last saw Cades Cove in person 50 years ago!
What a beautiful bike ride and thank you for taking me along with you on your ride through Cades Cove! I bet that looked like a winter wonderland with snow all over. The icicles made everything look more beautiful! Really enjoyed your video.
Awesome video dude! When u were riding the bike with the music playing, it almost felt like a quasi Sky-Fly-esque ride. Felt professional. Great camera work and commentary. Thanks for freezing your butt off to share!
I attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville back in the late 70s and after spending many weekends studying under the trees in Cades Cove, I promised myself that no matter what I did in life or where I went, I would retire back in the Smokies. 46 years, world-travel, and three careers later, I settled down only 40 miles from here, deeper in the mountains. Your video is a memory bomb, igniting thoughts of the best times in my youth. Thank You.
Trying to get caught up on your videos my daughter had my first grandbaby in Christmas Eve and I have been enjoying him, thanks for this video we love cades cove, God Bless
We were just visiting Cades Cove in December. We saw deer but not as many as you. It has only been a month, but I am so ready to make a return trip. So glad the Pearl Harbor tree is okay. Thanks for this great vlog.
Check out the Smokey Mountain Recumbent Rally May 14th - 15 . We ride Cades Cove on the 15th on no car Wednesday. It's mainly Recumbent Trikes & Bikes, but A.. Ratchets are welcome as well.
I was adding up the deer in your video & counted 48 deer, plus 11 turkeys. I think the most we have ever seen there on a slow day was around 30, which was the day the Cove opened after the wildfires. Beautiful views. Thank you! Hope you are thawed out now.
Thanks for the recent tour around Cades Cove. I Plan to visit GSMNP in 2-3 weeks. I hope it doesn't lose ALL that snow before I get there to photograph it for my next book.
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful view of Cades Cove. The first time my parents & I saw this was August 1985. It was crowded, but we had a wonderful time. Since I was a single man, I took my parents with me whenever I took a vacation. After this trip, we continued to return in April or May & September, as the motel rates were not as expensive & there were not as many people. We continued to make this trek until 2000. Of course every time we took our mountain vacation, we had to go to Cades Cove. We saw it as a kind of pilgrimage, to renew ourselves & enjoy the wildlife & the flora. Sometimes we would pull off to the side of the road, & spread a blanket, so we could have a pic nic. That was so much fun! I hope to take another trip in April or May this year, but I will have to make it alone, as my parents have passed. Keep making these videos, as I for one, will look forward to them.
My wife and I try to go there once or twice a year, we where in the Smokey Mountains three months ago but did not get to go to the Cove, so we really injured the video. Thank you so much.❤
We have been so very Blessed to have been in Cades Cove many times….every bend in that road is a memory you brought back for us….all of the bucks I could see still had both antlers…..so many out there grazing as it is essential to surviving the harsh elements….really enjoyed the breathtaking views with music to sooth your soul🙏🏻. Very nice!!
Just like you lost count of the # of deer you saw, I lost count of the number of times I said 'oh my gosh' because of all the beautiful scenery. Easily the best and most enjoyable video of winter in Cades Cove I have ever seen. Never been there during this time of year, but it's now on my list!
I have enjoyed your drives in the snow. Love Cades Cove but not seen it in the snow. Hope to make a trip soon. We use to come often but have not been in about 2 years. Thank you for sharing.

Brought back a lot of memories of past visits. On one occasion I counted 129 deer as we drove through Cades Cove. Look forward to getting back there at least one more time.
So beautiful and tranquil. Thanks for taking us along on your ride! The musical accompaniment is so fitting. Any chance you can share what the music is?
All the snow and ice just washed away here in Memphis! We were just talking about maybe making a quick trip to Gatlinburg area. I assume weather is good to go now? Great footage
Wow so beautiful the ice cicles are beautiful they look like crystals on the side of the mountain .. cades cove is lovely.. on the other side of the Smokey’s going towards Cherokee nc we’ve seen turkeys and elk.. thanks for sharing Ryan you and your family stay safe and warm..😊
Was just there the week before Christmas and it was a beautiful sunny day and the cove was packed, but what breath taking views with the mountains in the distance. I could happily live there and look at that view everyday! Thank you for sharing!
That was awesome makes me want to go! I would wreak cycling and recording you are the bomb! I can believe how little snow there was because we got 10 inches and just over the hill🤯 weather is crazy
Unfortunately every time I’ve ever been there it was bumper to bumper traffic and took forever to drive the short distance, not what I consider relaxing or peaceful.
@@Commentleaver-c6x Yea, it can be that way. I try to not go during "peak" tourist times. Sometime ya have to be lucky. I really don't let the crowds bother me.
Thanks so much for this video.... Beautiful place.... My favorite place in the world.... We r heading down on the 24th for our 13 th Anniversary so I plan on driving thru there..... What beautiful views of the snowy mountains ❤..... Thanks for sharing 😊.... Glad I just found your channel

Hi There! Your video was so much fun to watch. I hope to ride my bike around Cades Cove Loop one day. Spectacular scenery. So many deer. Your choice of music was inspired. GREAT JOB!!!
❤ Ryan, Thank you, Thank you for a beautiful video. We loved the animals and the beautiful views of the ridges and peaks covered in snow ❄️. You make the best videos. Keep 'em coming. ❤
Ryan I absolutely loved this video. So enjoyable. So beautiful! There is no place in all of God's Creation more beautiful than Cades Cove. Seeing it in winter with the snow on the mountains and all the beautiful icicles was absolutely gorgeous. And no body back there . What a great day. I lost count of all the deer as well. We are planning on going to Cades Cove when we are down next week. The music was very enjoyable too. I throughly enjoyed everything about this video adventure. Thanks for bringing us to Cades Cove. I loved it. God Bless Ryan.
