I'm not normally a fan of musicals but I remember this concert being shown on television and I just sat there captivated. Every single performance of every song is magical.
This concert was so well worth the watch. I saw it on PBS when it first came on and had to go out and buy the vhs. I got chills when Marius and Eponine sang A Little Fall of Rain, but also the Song of Angry Men encore with all the Valjeans from around the world singing it in their native tongues was also amazing.
Someday You must make yourself watch the entirety of Les Miserables’s!! It is my absolute favorite favorite of the classical musicals from Broadway. There are great recordings on RU-vid. With your reaction to this song, I know that you’ll love the whole thing❤❤❤

I was bored and channel hopping one New Year’s Eve, on my own because my firefighter SO was working, when I came across this concert. I sat captivated, fell in love, and as soon as I could bought the CD. Amazing performances and lyrics.
The show is about the French Revolution and his and his friends were at the barricade his friends were killed by the French army. The people behind him are the members of the show.
You should watch Michael Ball sing 'Gethsemane' from the concert to celebrate Andrew Lloyd Webber's birthday. It is fantastic and the best version I have heard.
This whole show from the 10th anniversary is incredible. amazing voices and over all performances. I've met only one other channel who has visited this who show, one song per reaction in small sections. any other takers? 😄
I love seeing you guys react to this amazing 10th Anniversary recording of Les Miserables-It was my introduction to Les Mis as well, and nothing else really comes close and can compare (especially not Nick Jonas in the 25th Anniversary, but er, that's another story ;)) Anyhow, seeing as how you've now watched, reacted and been introduced to the main protagonist Valjean, followed by Eponine and now Marius, it would be logical to watch "Stars" which is the big solo number for the villain of the story, the "bad guy" if you will. His name is Javert, the policeman who is relentlessly pursuing Valjean across the years, and well, "Stars" is his big solo number from the first act. A stunning and incomparable performance by the amazing Philip Quast (who is from Australia, btw)
My favourite musical is sunset boulevard i-site at the royal Albert hall in London it was fantastic. I also saw at the Alhambra theatre where I live in Yorkshire. 👍
You two are hitting all the heartbreaking songs first !?! Michael Ball is a force for sure, but you haven't heard Valjean yet (Colm Wilkinson). For a pick me up though One Day More and Do you Hear the People Sing aren't quite as gut wrenching
Les Mis is the best of all musicals. The 10th Anniversary Concert is amazing, highlighting the best of the best. It's like a "best of" Les Mis album. Please check out Lea Salonga, also a Les Mis star. I hope you have the opportunity to see the whole play someday. It will blow your mind!! Also please check out Jesus Christ Superstar!!!
You made me laugh, you two. You do not understand because you did not see the movie or the stage performance which was rolled by Michael Ball. I like his voice and version than the one played by another in the movie. In the movie it is the acting but the voice, of course are from the stage performances.
