He killed his wife and kid, effectively ruining Rick's life. All because he was too egotistical to let go the fact that rick didn't want to become a God but want to live happily in a simple life with his family. @@raeanimation4124
People hate on rick and morty but it’s genuinely a sad story. A horrid version of man ruins the regular mans life causing both men to broken in 2 different ways. It’s a amazing concept
Yup people don’t understand that adult cartoons and animation and general is still expressive art in its own way. It’s just obviously gonna be goofy people don’t like to look at the world through that lens because they think it’s cringe or you’ll just get made fun of or call the discord mod because you like art.
@@Noneyobizniz1what makes it more sad is when he relates to piss master when being called the biggest piece of shit in the galaxy, and he might be the only smartest and carrying Rick out there now.
The tragedy of Rick Prime is that he HAD everything. He had a loving wife, a daughter who idolized him, ungodly intelligence, infinite friends, and it wasn't enough. It was never going to be enough. He didn't care about people. It simply wasn't there. Not even himself.
It’s not that Rick prime was greedy, it’s that he was so powerful that he detached himself from modern and normal society and norms. He was a god above normal people, above the galaxy, above the infinite universes. He was in creative mode and in theory, he shouldn’t be bound to empathy attached to the “NPC’S” down below including other inferior versions of himself. He wasn’t filled with hubris, it was just the result of being infinitely above every other life form. His death came from his carelessness which stemmed from his power and hierarchy.
I have a question. Did Rick Prime kill Rick's daughter and wife c-137? And did Rick c-137 erase his wife from all worlds? So how did he save his daughter? From which world?
He killed every version of her across infinity to spite the versions of him that couldn't let go, so he built a jail the size of infinity, for himself.
One of the hardest parts of Rick's experience is that he has no one to blame but himself. Prime was right, and fucking evil, and undoubtedly a very rick Rick. He may not have been wrong to say that C-137, the only other Rick to independently develop portal travel, would've eventually lost his humanity just like Prime did, and showed up in Prime's garage with Prime's outlook. Instead, he gets to spend the rest of his life as the second step in an Ouroborus that another version of himself caused. A cycle that brought him to the end of morality and most universes without any cause left to drive him. The lonely God has naught but tears and time to shed them.

Watch the show- the daughter c137 is with us an alternate version of his daughter one from a difrent timeline. C137 didn’t wipe out his wife from every timeline prime did.
Rick Prime killed every version of his wife, not just to spite C-137, but as an egotistical, furious and desperate move to validate himself for the path he had taken on. His meeting with C-137 revealed something he never thought he'd ever have; doubt.
Usually when I see edits with low views, I click to see how bad they are (because yeah they usually are.) But this edit was surprisingly really good. The quality is great, the pacing is perfect, the music choice isn't obnoxious, and just generally seems professional to the point of looking like it would be in an episode or be a recap. great job
C-137 is the one of the normal Ricks to not have Morty and Summer Absence of Grand children bc of the death of both your wife and daughter kinda sets up a greatly depressing motivator for Rick to keep living
People often say Rick and Morty's sad moments don't happen frequently enough for it to have an impact on the show or that they have no effect on the characters. But that's sort of the point. It's a slow burning pain that eats away from the inside, without anyone else being able to tell from the outside.
The first inventor of Multi-dimensional travel realizes at somepoint, before or after, that he's essentially a God. But he knows deep down, that all of the other Ricks before him who haven't invented portal travel, who still value human life, who still lived with Diane. That they are the better Ricks. Those who went for Ice Cream instead of answers. So he decided to ruin one of them, and it succeeded. And then he decided to ruin... all of them.
@@JL32506 Probably. But remember, we saw him ditch the other Beth and Summer without so much as a second thought. He obviously has more connection to the Morty, but...I mean, getting back *his actual family?* I could see him being torn.
@@RaptorJesus I don't think he'd go back. He's not the same man, and I think we'd very-much have a LOTR situation where going home just isn't the same anymore.
"what's your life without me" Rick:ill be nothing. Dead inside, no thoughts but i have completed my mission, every step i make is depression and guilt to my self
its sad how many look at rick n morty as just a comedy i think its one of the realest shows besides bojack horseman to capture human emotion and raw living experience even through a cartoon W show
@@sandcastle9905Yeah I liked the whole season except for that episode. Sometimes I think they stick a purposefully bad one in every season to keep the criticism focused in one spot.
That's why you should never live for one goal, once it comes true, life loses its meaning, if Rick never sought revenge on Rick Prime probably his life would have turned around again and he would have been happy with someone else, he felt like a god and fell to the very bottom
my only problem with ricks backstory is that he is the second rick to invent teleportion but yet he is hunting down hundreds of versions who did the same so unless his sadness managed to stop rick prime from killing hundreds versions of his wife it just doesnt make sense but of course because its just a flash back we arent told the time that passes To elaborate with all my other comments like I said our Morty is Rick primes Morty so whatever kills Diane doesn't kill Beth Rick primes back story is unknown but his Diane died without a doubt he could've killed her himself for some reason though I doubt it
@@danielharding3534 damn, I was sure he said that he was the only one to PROPERLY invent it and c137 refused his help so they both did it legitimately. Probably should have elaborated mb
@@HeyDrizzle i feel like the show shouldve gave us more than just the flash back to be honest i almost think rick prime lost his wife by accident somehow which caused him to invent interdemensional travel which is why he is killing every diane in existinces to bring every rick at his level
@@danielharding3534 Prime said when he was beaten to death: "You lived in my house!" I don't know if he was saying that to taunt Rick (obviously he was) but maybe he was speaking the truth because after that line he specifies versions, like versions of my house.
Listen, its odd for a man who said “nothing matters” to dedicate himself over a life time to hunting, himself, a man who can clone, universe swap, its almost as if the soul, the experience, the fact that “every rick has a vat” this is why we see a stark contrast to the shell shocked Mory compared to shell shocked Rick, they where directly transcendental.
rick and morty was on a whole different level of fucked up and crazy stories, the good type i mean, the whole show was fucking unique and incredible, nothing can beat it
You wanna know another layer of tragedy to this? The familys of the versions of Rick, that our Rick slaughtered are left in the same boat Rick Primes family was at the beginning of the series, except this time their Rick isn’t coming back.
i remember seeing the part where he was in love with the nature girl or whatever, i looked up the song and i still listen to it i do find it sad that rick and morty won't have another season or episode so instead im watching harry potter again and shameless
