EMTs Charged with MURDER - Physician Assistant Reacts

On December 18th, 2022, Earl Moore Jr. called 911 while experiencing alcohol withdrawal hallucinations. The County Coroner deemed this a "homicide." I share my thoughts on what went wrong.
Understand that everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. More facts and information still remain at large for this incident and the final judgment may not result in 1st-degree murder convictions.
A "Like" on the video can help bring awareness to this tragic story.

Truth. I think people just do it for so long that at some point they fear leaving. Everyone seems to start in EMS all starry-eyed.

I have so many questions.. did Mr Moore die en route to the hospital? If not, I assume he was transferred to the hospital’s care, and then he died? Did they keep him in the prone position at the hospital? How did Mr Moore died of asphyxiation if care was transferred. Do not read into this that I codone their action?

@DavidNguyen-vh6nl late reply but he died enroute to the hospital. He was prone and strapped down tightly. He suffacated due to positional asphyxiation. That also means they didnt have him on the monitor. Also a big no no. No EMS worker should ever behave like this. Those are both no no's for patient packaging and transport. As an EMT this is despicable behavior and should have never been tolerated by their supervision or the police. They know, or should know, this is unacceptable.

@@jdub204 take a second look at my comment. Maybe you don't understand. I never said anything about murder. I said people enter that job with good intentions and get burned out. It doesn’t matter what color you are some medical professionals are amazing angels and do a wonderful job and some are so horrific you fear for the life of your loved one in their hands. I’m glad this was caught on tape and I pray they go to prison for murder as they did kill him. They get paid to help people. They should be held to an even higher standard than someone else would be. We need to send people to prison when they killed their patients with such horrific misstreatment. We need to make sure that the wonderful people in the medical field stay there and the horrific ones like this are always charged.

Sad sad sad state that he had to go through this...even his partner at the door was already clearly 'over his condition'...I wonder how long she took before calling EMS....if one only knew the final outcome.....it could have had a different outcome. ?? You’re uncle was a hypochondriac? As in, he did not have any actual illness, just the perception of an illness? If the EMT’s performed an assessment, as a former RN, why would you allow your uncle to be transported by ambulance to the ER?
@periloustimes7
@periloustimes7 Год назад
There could always be that one time, when something serious is going on. That is why EMS has to transport people regardless of the number of times they go to the hospital. You are supposed to give a frequent patient the SAME care as you would anyone else.
@DavidNguyen-vh6nl
@DavidNguyen-vh6nl Год назад
@@periloustimes7 same care, as in perform an assessment and make proper suggestions. Of course, they are not allowed to refuse transport, but you are not calculating, problems down the line. Clogging up hospital beds, financial concerns from unneeded hospital and ambulance bills. Or even the simple fact, that the Uncle is needlessly taking up limited resources, such as the ambulance, when alternative transportation could be used. But let’s be honest, most people will utilize an ambulance, thinking they will up the long line at the ER waiting room.

EMS is kind of like law enforcement. There's a lot of individuals that do not belong there, but manage to stay... until this happens. I work EMS. I take being a public servant very seriously. The way he slammed this patient on the stretcher was assault. You cannot take anything personally. This is an embarrassment to the EMS community. I hope we're not all stereotyped.

They can't get 1st degree, but only because of politics. Her disregard for the patient was "malice" and that is premeditated. She forced the cops to do her job by refusing to transport him to the ambulance. Had one officer demanded professional behavior and threatened to call her supervisor, none of this would have happened.

In the bedroom: Full vitals and 12 lead EKG Pulse ox and ETCO2 Glucose check IV access Use Reeves stretcher to carry him out (don’t think he’s rigid enough for the stairchair) Supine transport with vigilant monitoring for deterioration As an EMS provider I can’t wait till I retire.
