DIY Emulsified Body Butter
This emulsified body butter is designed to duplicate the best parts of the body butter and to take away some of the greasy and heaviness that often comes with them. The water is added in such a small amount when you compare it to a cream or a lotion.
Unlike a traditional (anhydrous) body butter which often feels heavy and greasy on your skin, an emulsified body butter contains water and leaves little residue behind. I often save traditional whipped body butters for winter time when my skin needs some serious moisture.

Thank you so much for this recipe. I made it and it's very thick and luxurious. Question how would I adjust this formula so the butters and oils would be at 30% instead of the 40% that they are right now? Any tips?

Thanks for sharing your recipe. I made a tiny tub of this last night with same ingredients apart from swapping out Safflower for Grapeseed oil and a different fragrance. It was an interesting texture at first, as it cooled, slightly spongy and a little oily looking on the skin but great over all in being non greasy compared to other body butters I've made. I like a firm cream and an interesting thing happened overnight as this fully set... in the tub it now is more uniformly firm and has taken on a matt sheen. It applies to skin more matt and smoothly also. This is definitely a recipe I would use again and will enjoy playing around with 😃

I know im late to this post, thanks for this amazing video. One question though i notice that on wet skin thw body has a slippery effect as well if I sweat my skin is slippery. How can i correct this? Thanks in advance

It is a body butter, they are by nature a bit greasier. A lotion might work better for you

The emulsified body butter holds up well in the summer. By adding the emulsifier it prevents it from melting like a regular body butter
