악마라는 용어는 종종 악령과 혼용됩니다. 이 사악한 존재들은 인간을 더럽히고 악을 가져옵니다. 그들의 의도는 신체적 해로움, 장애, 질병을 가하는 것일 수 있습니다.
예수 그리스도께서는 악령이 사로잡힌 사람들에게서 악령을 쫓아내셨고(마태복음 8:16; 마가복음 5:1-13; 7:24-30) 제자들에게도 그분의 이름으로 똑같이 할 수 있는 능력을 주셨습니다(마태복음 10:1; 사도행전 5:12-16; 8:4-8; 16:18). 악령들은 예수님이 누구인지 알고 있으며 그분이 미래에 그들을 심판하고 정죄하실 것임을 알고 있습니다(마태복음 8:29; 마가복음 1:24; 5:7).
마지막 때에 많은 사람들이 악령과 그들이 불러일으키는 거짓 가르침에 속을 것입니다(디모데전서 4:1). 요한계시록은 마지막 날에 중요한 역할을 하는 기만적인 악령에 대해 말합니다. "그리고 나는 용과 짐승과 거짓 선지자의 입에서 개구리처럼 생긴 세 악령이 뛰쳐나오는 것을 보았습니다. 그들은 기적을 행하고 전능하신 하나님의 큰 심판 날에 주님을 대적하여 싸우도록 세상의 모든 통치자들에게 가는 악령들입니다. '보라, 내가 도둑처럼 갑자기 올 것이다! 나를 기다리는 모든 자들은 복이 있다. 그들은 옷을 준비하고 벌거벗고 부끄러워서 다니지 않아도 된다.' 그리고 악령들은 모든 통치자들과 그들의 군대를 히브리어로 아마겟돈이라는 곳에 모았습니다."(요한계시록 16:13-16, NLT).
누가복음 11:24-26에서 우리는 도덕적 악과 관련된 악령의 예를 접하게 됩니다. 예수께서는 루시퍼를 물리치고 악령을 쫓아내는 것이 그리스도인의 삶의 궁극적인 목표가 아니라는 것을 설명하기 위해 비유를 말씀하셨습니다. 참된 제자는 단순히 더러운 영을 몰아내는 것 이상을 해야 합니다. 악이 우리의 영적 집에 진을 치는 것을 막기 위해 우리는 하나님과 그의 왕국의 선한 것들로 우리의 삶을 채워야 합니다.
악령은 결코 중립적으로 여겨져서는 안 됩니다. 그들은 루시퍼의 어둠의 세력의 일부이며 하나님과 그의 백성의 적입니다. 악령은 세상과 인간에게 부패, 악의, 타락을 조장합니다. 그들은 하나님의 거룩함, 선함, 의로움, 빛, 사랑에 반대합니다. 성령의 반대인 악령은 하나님의 성품, 본성, 뜻과 반대되는 것을 나타냅니다. 그들은 하나님과 예수 그리스도의 사역에 적대적이며, 믿는 사람들은 항상 그들에게 저항해야 합니다. The term demon is often used interchangeably with evil spirit. These wicked entities defile and bring evil to human subjects. Their intention may be to inflict physical harm, disability, and sickness .
Jesus Christ cast out evil spirits from people possessed by them (Matthew 8:16; Mark 5:1-13; 7:24-30) and gave His disciples power to do the same in His name (Matthew 10:1; Acts 5:12-16; 8:4-8; 16:18). Evil spirits know who Jesus is and that He will judge and condemn them in the future (Matthew 8:29; Mark 1:24; 5:7).
In the end times, many people will be deceived by evil spirits and the false teachings they inspire (1 Timothy 4:1). The book of Revelation speaks of deceptive evil spirits playing a significant role in the last days: “And I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs leap from the mouths of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet. They are demonic spirits who work miracles and go out to all the rulers of the world to gather them for battle against the Lord on that great judgment day of God the Almighty. ‘Look, I will come as unexpectedly as a thief! Blessed are all who are watching for me, who keep their clothing ready so they will not have to walk around naked and ashamed.’ And the demonic spirits gathered all the rulers and their armies to a place with the Hebrew name Armageddon” (Revelation 16:13-16, NLT).
In Luke 11:24-26, we come across an example of evil spirits that are associated with moral evil. Jesus tells a parable to illustrate that defeating Lucifer and casting out evil spirits is not the ultimate goal of the Christian’s life. True disciples must do more than merely sweep away unclean spirits. To keep evil from setting up camp in our spiritual houses, we must fill our lives with the good things of God and His Kingdom.
Evil spirits are never to be regarded neutrally. They are part of Lucifer’s dark forces, enemies of God and His people. Evil spirits promote corruption, malice, and depravity in the world and in humans. They are opposed to God’s holiness, goodness, righteousness, light, and love. As the antithesis of the Holy Spirit, evil spirits represent the opposite of God’s character, nature, and will. They are hostile to the work of God and Jesus Christ, and believers are always to resist them: “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith” (1 Peter 5:8-9; see also Ephesians 6:13;James 4:7).ctto:gotquestions
