In this video we are looking at a common suspension wear item that affects several popular Volkswagen AG vehicles. Which we replace the console bush using a special tool to ensure correct alignment and operation of the new febi suspension bush.
Worn steering and suspension components can cause issues, such as knocking or creaking noises over uneven road surfaces, as well as vague steering and handling and uneven tyre wear.

There's another version of the insertion tool which is long enough to screw into the rear of the front bush bolt location point. My experience is that this gives better alignment of the large bush making it easier to insert correctly.

today it's cheaper to change the assy then to start to replace any bushigs.

this control arm bush design is a lot better than the VW gold design.

Depends which Mk Golf you are talking about. Mk5 onwards have a similar setup, Mk4 is different

I've got my car pulling away whining noise coming from front of the vehicle when my clutch is half way disengaged and happens always and sometimes on narrow road when I'm going uphill from standstill in first gear and squeaking noise when going over humps from the rear department. My car has been recently serviced and investigated. I thought it is some part of the clutch but according to service all parts are in perfect condition except console Bush split and OSF outer Cv boot split. Changing second one mentioned would fix "hump" problem I believe. But can fixing front console Bush fix whining noise? Can it whine when car is being heavier to pull away?

Thank you for watching our video, knocking, squeaking and banging noises occur as the vehicle travels over uneven road surfaces, and are usually associated with the vehicles suspension system. Whining noises are from something that is frequently rotating. In your case this could be drive train or clutch related.
