This nostalgia brings tears to my eyes. This is a time when ppl weren't haters. Women had talent besides shaking their ass. And the audience was super engaged, and there were no phones. They were just living in the moment clapping and enjoying themselves. Whew what a time to be alive back then. I miss this 😢

Yessir! This song was the changing of the guards. I remember the first time I heard it, with the vocals at the beginning I didn't know what to expect. When the beat dropped, I caught chills. My mom bought Born to Sing on cassette and I rewound that track so many times!!

I remember being a little jealous of En Vogue when this album debuted. I remember being in the 10 th grade and the cute boys in my class had a crush on them. One guy brought their cassette tape to class and all of them were admiring En Vogue's pictures. They were trying to decide which member of En Vogue was the " finest." Being that I was an awkward and skinny girl with buck teeth and a " jheri" curl, I longed to be a sexy and classy grown woman like the members of En Vogue.
