Enabling works underway at Burdekin Falls Dam 

On-site survey, drilling and geotechnical investigation work is continuing as we plan to raise the dam by two metres and improve its resilience against extreme weather.
AECOM Townsville was recently appointed to investigate the road network leading to the dam to determine what work is needed to cater for the additional truck movements during the project’s construction phase.
A tender process has also begun to appoint a lead designer for the project.
