I like to think the reason he was so silent and whenever he spoke he spoke quietly is because Dolores is his sister and he wanted to be considerate and grew up speaking in a whisper tone for Dolores
I did not realize the last one where Antonio was the one guided Mirabel towards the door of new casita. Such a nice detail. So glad he don't have to go through the same pressure that the other family members went through.
yeah, after he grow up , there will be a lot of people coming to ask" why my pets don't eat the food and look sick?" It will be annoying be a vet as a child.
I gotta ask. DO YOU THINK…. that one of the reasons Antonio is such a wonderful little kid is cuz he was partially raised by Mirabel since she was already 10 when he was born and never had to work like the others?
@jackiefumara2417 I think mirable normally helps but about the same as abula in comparison to the rest of the family she isn't as noticeable when she works. The whole movie is in a pretty short time frame and has a ton of things happening
Antonio could've easily been an annoying child character, but he's easily one of the most adorable ones! Easily one of my favorite characters in this movie!
2:56 I love Alma's face. She's concerned over the jaguar at first, but when she knows Antonio is safe, she relaxes. She may be cruel at times, but it is clear through moments like these that she loves her magical weirdos.
It needs to be acknowledged that Antonia didn't meet Bruno until he barges into Bruno's hiding spot. He was down to help this man - who he had never met before - simply because his favorite person wanted to help him. Like this kid is just so down to help this random man because Mirabel said so. Like... Ugh he's so damn cute.
Antonio is just the cutest little thing ever. He is so sweet. Like when he gave Bruno his stuffed animal for the nerves. I don’t know about you but I find the line after Mirabel and Bruno see Antonio was like “Don’t eat those” was really funny. He is always so quiet when he speaks I think someone else said that he spoke to quietly so that he wouldn’t hurt Dolores. I can’t just so cute
I love the bond between Antonio and Mirabel, even though mira didn't get a gift, she is still with Antonio to comfort him, because she knows how it feels. So adorable 🥺
Watching Mirabel's relationship with Atonio makes me wanna see Mirabel being the Abuela of the new generation of Madrigal. I can see her walking with the children to their own door when giving their gift and being proud of them 🥺
I’m 100% convinced that that’s why she doesn’t have a gift. She doesn’t have a magical room or a superpower because her gift is being Alma’s successor, and therefore the whole house belongs to her
@@titanqueen7217 And that would be the premise of the sequel if there will be one. So that means..... Abuela Alma will have to literally teach Mirabel on how the task will be but in a way that the family will heal and stay strong after their trauma that has chained them down for so long. They will succeed of course but you know, Abuela Alma will likely pass away in the sequel.
I swear Antonio is just so cute I love him. I didn't even know he was in the dinner scene at 4:04 unless just now and the fact that he just barely fits at the table and has a cup of juice is just so cute to me. Protect this boy at all costs
Antonio is so sweet. The fact he was born when Mirabel was giftless....he adores his cousin and doesn't care that she lacks a gift...and sees her as another big sister. Accepting her who she is....to the point he felt more secure going to his door to receive his gift if Mirabel held his hand...because he was scared...especially with being placed on his worry about not receiving one. And Antonio helping him with Bruno...learning he was behind the walls because he can understand the rats. And was fully supportive because Mirabel needed it.
@@khiaraeberhard4395 And I think Antonio would want to share his gift with Mirabel. As in a way his gift is by extension hers. So by helping her. And what's so sweet as well is the end. Antonio holds Mirabel's hand as she places the doorknob back on the door as they rebuild the house. Guiding her to the door like she did for him. Like repeating her ceremony. As he's the only one in the family did not have to address how special Mirabel was...because he was saw it. Awwww.
Antonio is one of my favorites in this movie, not just for how cute he is, but also the funniest moment I think he's got Antonio: "The rats told me everything." *looks at Parce* "Don't eat those." Parce: *looks at him with a sad face*
Imagine if Antonio could interact with all the Disney animals and pets, like Tuk Tuk, Meeko, Rajah, Little brother (Mulan's puppy), etc. And surely the Disney princesses would drop their jaws and would not believe the fact that a child can understand and talk to their respective pets and that he is even offering them to move into his huge room-jungle
4:27 I know this video is of Antonio, but the animators seriously nailed that terrifyingly stone-cold expression jaguars have when staring something down
Minute 4:33 In my version of the song All of you, Antonio ran to hug Mirabel by the skirt of her dress, while tears was falling from his cheeks for being happy to see that Mirabel have returned.
Yeah, and imagine having animals, especially wild ones, as your roommates and able to understand them. Talking to animals is like my 2nd favorite animal based power with shape-shifting as first.
I love Antonio so much which makes this great and the support of pepa Camilo Dolores and Felix it truly makes my day to see such a happy and supportive family together with Antonio ❤️
My favorite scene of Antonio is when he says “the rats told me everything, don’t eat those-“ I freaking LOVE this scene!!!❤️❤️😭🥺👏✨ he’s such a demanding king 😭😭
He is the definition of that trend “I know I’m young but my mind is well beyond my years.” But instead of having a higher level of intelligence it’s a higher level of material girl. I’m proud of my children ☺️
After watching encanto for the 100th time, my older sister started getting on to it and started liking it and she even admitted that Antonio was the cutest little bean ever. 🥺❤
If you want a child like Antonio then you should be like his parents 🥰. You can’t expect a child to be good one if you can’t be a good parent yourself.
I love the fact that it was Mirabel's love that gave Antonio his gift, surely Mirabel would say: "Only the best for my favorite cousin (2:58) 😌", and Antonio would say: "Thank you so much, Mirabel 😆!"
The best thing about his gift is that he can only communicate with animals, not control them to any degree. The boy's got such a strong affinity for them that he can immediately tame a jaguar
Please note. Antonio would have lost his powers when the flame went out, just like the rest of his family. So that means that when the jaguar took him to Bruno and Maribel, or any of the animals that stayed with/played with him while rebuilding the house, were not doing it because of his powers. They (like us) just really live this kid.
I haven't seen this commented here yet so I'll bring it up Someone pointed out that Antonio's gift is the only non-selfish one brought on by Abuela. Everyone's gift came as a result of what Abuela wanted and wanting to help her or rather what the community need. It's why everyone is so at odds with their own powers. Antonio's is the only one that really came from what resonated with him.
