Encephalitis is a condition involving inflammation of the brain tissue that can be caused by a variety of factors including bacteria, viruses, and autoimmune conditions. Due to inflammation of the brain, a variety of signs and symptoms can occur, which we will discuss in this lesson.

My bestfriend has encephalitis. She doesn't have much memory loss but her speaking abilities have declined a lot, she can't speak much now. She is also very confused and spaced out most of the time and her movements are also very stiff where she can't move freely. It breaks my heart to see her like this and I hope that someday she'll get back to how she was before. I wish all the best for everybody who's suffering from this disease.

My mum was 72 when she had encephalitis. Mum complained of having a cold/flue and within hours mum was found on the floor having fits/seizures. Mum was then admitted into intensive care and was in a coma for just over a week. Mum then became septic and was gravely poorly. Anyway, mum survived and we then noticed she had started with dementia. Mum died last May (2020) and was 90 years of age.

@@yvonnevelhuco4956 I think I am also having these kind a symptoms for a long time and it is obviously creating some problems in studies and social relation ship but all I can say is we need to be strong mentally, never let ur children go under stress or depression because it will make things a lot worse. Fun is needed to and make sure ur child has all support he wants and obviously making friends(good friends) plays a good part.

My husband was born w encephalitis - he was given up for adoption and was in a Catholic orphanage in Cobble Hill Brooklyn until he was 18 months old. The first family that took him brought him back. He cried all the time. Then he was adopted by German and Irish parents who were wonderful. He grew up to be super smart so the concerns over him having mental retardation were ultimately unwarranted. It makes me sad that his parents gave him up because of encephalitis.

That sounds like you had too much histamine which was causing inflammation in the CNS. Taking antihistamine allergy meds will immediately relive these symptoms but your body will stop regulating histamine itself and you are actually making the problem much worse.

Same. I got herpes 5 years ago and had a high fewer for a week. I've never been the same after it. My personality has been definitely changed. I used to be very active and social, but now I've withdrawn from almost everyone. Even my family. I have severe social anxiety and constant fatigue. I always thought it's because of my depression, but I can feel that side is healing due to therapy yet something's still off. Now I've been watching videos from Tom Bilyeu's channel and specifically Steven Gundry's interview and it's the single most important thing I've watched in a long time. He explained poor gut health's connection brain inflammation and now it all makes sense. I suffer from headaches, myalgia, malaise, cognitive decline, memory problems, stiff neck, sensitivity to light and sounds. Can tick almost all the boxes. So comforting to finally find out about this. I hope I can be more myself, if I am able to heal this by healing my gut with proper nutrition.

Hello I’m so sorry Hasham. I am experiencing a struggling dopamine, vagus nerve issues, body rejecting most all foods, cognitive disturbances, etc. All since the virus. I've always had a strong fixation on encephalitis because I had it as a young child (around 4 or 5 I think) though I wasn't aware until a couple years later since that bit of my memory was completely gone and memory surrounding it was extremely blurry, and since I was still a kid I thought not remembering those years was normal cuz adults would talk about it all the time, not realizing that it's very different when a kid can't remember being a slightly younger kid than an adult not being able to remember being a little kid

Doctors that are first contact here in the UK, the ‘General Practitioner’ or GP doctors, are not going to diagnose this. I handed the symptoms spoken of, on a plate, and there was not the slightest suggestion by the staff there, it was encephalitis. They may have tested for one type, but unfortunately a snapshot of blood tests may not catch it, if you do not test for the particular type. Symptoms, have declined as a diagnostic method here - our NHS has been run-down to the point if there is nit an irrefutable collection of proof, you won;t be diagnosed. 14 years of a hostile government, what did anyone expect? Great info in this vid, I have had all these symptoms over the last three months, the headache was a burning, rolling thing behind the eyes, moving up to the top of the front of the head. Wanted to die, that’s how bad it was - take paracetamol, this seems to blunten these awful headaches. Mine was one big bout of that, then it subsided to a low level background/resident headache. Very tough illness.

Recently discharged from hospital with encephalitis. Primary symptom was altered blood in urine No urine infection but was given Trimethrapin which I swear caused the brain reaction. Been through the mill with clinicians unable to diagnose any causative organism, viral or bacterial. As I have had severe reactions to other antimicrobials, Trimethrapin should never have been prescribed and it can cause the hell I have survived. Absurdly, the doctors were not interested in the renal issue in spite of getting pitting oedema. I had to convince them a renal event had occurred.

@@abiodunadeniji9850 sorry it took me so long to respond to you. I pray for you and your son speedy recovery. There’s no words that can even describe what you’re going through. For me, it was a nightmare that I could not wake up from. by now, your neurologist should have some idea of cause of infection that is producing the antibody. My daughter went through memory loss, character change, coma, seizures, multiple organ failures (heart failure, liver failure, kidney failure she couldn’t breathe on her own, while on a feeding tube). It put me through changes that I can never come back from. Only thing I can tell you is to stay strong for your son, and he needs you now more than ever. If it’s like anything like my daughters condition he will not remember even going to the hospital. you sitting there next to him bedside and observing his changes is so important for his recovery. Information that your neurologist definitely needs to hear. Don’t rely on the sitters are to analyze his behavior. Only you know the difference between his conscious mind and his subconscious. About a week and a half ago, I had an allergic reaction to mosquito bites on my fingers while I was asleep. This was unusual to me because I live in Florida, and am very used to getting bit, like all the time. Since that night, I've had a headache, my neck is stiff, and I feel VERY spacy. Wow thank you , over this past couple of years, I keep getting HIB=Haemophilus influenza strain b. My hole character has changed, I've shrunk , and trying to remember things just doesn't happen , I've been to hospital in numerous occasions and the drs for loads of different symptoms. I had to go looking at what could be wrong , I feel like a hypochondriac with all the symptoms and felt like I was wasting the drs time, just reading the comments section answered loads of questions, I get headaches all throughout the day and being woken up. + loads of other symptoms. Now my brain /ears have a swooshing noise that goes on forever, I thought it was tinnitus. Then when I go to the drs I seem fine , my oxygen levels are fine , my heart is up and down like a yoyo. The blood tests will come back fineish. The cognitive issues seem to be the worst , even my dog runs when I'm waking up in the morning. My dog,s actions told me, I had something on my right lung and finally after another CT scan but with contrast and revealed the white mass. I can read but I don't retain the information. When I went for an ultrasound the nurse couldn't find my spleen. Then when report went to The doctor who said everything is ok . I am less than half the person I once was. Now I'm gonna talk to my dr again , everytime I'm diagnosed with something I will research and try fix it . Thank you for this video.

Sorry to hear you're suffering. I tell you, I saw that comment about your dog, my birds are acting out doing things they never have done. I heard this about animals. Being sick has changed my whole character, how I act. I don't know, I have lesions between my skull and scalp for 6 years. I got staph A when my blood was tainted from being sick....I just don't to go back there again. Anywhere.

I have a staff and she knows instinctively when I'm ill and doesn't push to get out , and if she thinks I can do it she will make me do it and I'm grateful and humbled by her just knowing what was best for me , it sounds crazy trying to explain this to ppl who don't own a pet , they our furbabys are Angels .

Can we get brain inflamation from mRNA vax? Since my first dose I've had migraines and headaches for WEEKS and its still not gone. I had viral encephalitis when i was 22, went into a coma for a week and a half. they still don't know what caused it. i signed a bunch of papers to be a case study for University of Toronto. if anyone has any questions feel free to ask. i had no prior diseases, just a kid in college that went snowboarding a lot.

Question a family member got CMV storm due to weekend immune system. Was in hospital for a month and almost died. Was delirious and now has memory problems along with a funky leg. Had inflammation in the brain. Will her memory keep declining? What is the motality rate for someone at 65 years when she got it. My left ear feels full, my left cheek, near my cheek bone area feels odd too... mild headaches. I had a fairly bad cold that lasted 2 weeks; productive cough, very congested and ears were very full feeling, sore throat etc..mild fever for 1 day (37.5 to 38.1 - for like a few hours basically). Why after 3 weeks does my one ear still occasionally feel affected and my cheek bone area on left side of face feels odd along with minor headache? Is this muscular/tension headache?

I wonder if a person could have encephalitis with only severe head pain & sensitivity to lights? Very strange how the day before yesterday I had an unusual surge of energy & cleaned up my apt for a few hours even hand washed some clothes & sheets but then I showered fell asleep then the next day? BOOM, I wake up with a terrible migraine with pain mostly on the left side & upper middle portion of my brain & mild thyroid pain its so bad not even otc pain meds are working for it, the brain pain gets a lot worse when I walk anywhere

My cousin got infected and we still in MICU. We don't know what to do. Doctors said the cause is undetectable and all tests has been done. He only open his eyes and he still in ventilator. My son toddler with age 1,8 years old he is currently on the PICU room already 14 days. My son had stopped breathing and heart about 30 minutes. Then after 15 minutes of resuscitation his pulse returned. Currently the breathing saturation is 90-100. The leukocytes is still 15000 and still get antibiotic from the doctor. He is under controlled by Pediatric Doctor and Neurology Pediatric Doctor. His condition right now is unconcious due to inflammation of measles in the lungs and the MRI test shows there is no abnormal condition on his brain. Currently his eyes are open but can't respond when we talk. I don't know If my son got encephalitis or not. Please advice how the treatment for my son? Thank you

I’m sorry but looking at the comments, many of you did not have encephalitis. Unless you were diagnosed by a licensed physician it is unlikely. You had a migraine or flu.
