We went to Enchanted River about 7 years ago and you could swim there. Now you can only swim to the right behind the ropes. It is supposedly 50m deep. Where you first stood was open and is called Kevin's Elbow (don't know who Kevin was) and you could jump from there. The water is so buoyant and very easy to float and surprisingly warm. At certain times of the day they would stop people swimming so they could feed the fish, and when they threw the food in there would be literally thousands of fish appear. They don't allow people there after sunset because that is when the forest fairies come out to bathe. Probably my favourite spot I have ever visited in the Philippines. Breathtaking. Power On.
The name "Caraga" is derived from Kalagan, the ancient pre-colonial name of what is now roughly the region of Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, and Davao de Oro. The name itself refers to the Kalagan people, a Mandaya/Mansaka subgroup that were one of the dominant groups in the eastern Davao region. The name of the people itself comes from the root word "Kalag" ("spirit", "soul"), in the sense of a people with strong spirits (a person's spirit = bravery/power/charisma in the old indigenous anito beliefs). Same meaning as English "spirited". The Tagalog equivalent would be "Malakas ang Loob". Rajah Siawi and Rajah Kulambo, whom Magellan met when he arrived in the Philippines were nobles from The Visayan Rajahnate of Butuan and Kalagan. Pigafetta records the name of the region as "Calagan", though he doesn't specifically identify which of the noblemen were from which region. Note that some modern school textbooks erroneously say that Siawi and Kulambo were from Limasawa (which was where Magellan met them), but in Pigafetta's actual accounts, the two noblemen clearly say they are only on a hunting expedition in Limasawa (which was part of their domain). During the Spanish period, the whole of eastern coastal Mindanao was called "Provincia de Caraga".

All my favorite foods , seafood galore! I always looking forward where you’re going exploring Davao with Therine. Kulas , you’re now Filipino, learn more of the Filipino languages, it will be easier to converse with the locals there. The River was really enchanting, how lucky guys you’ve the place by yourselves. Wish you propose to Therine at the Enchanted River...loved your escapades.
Aww... So wonderful.. Can't believe what Philippines can more offer to us... Hope to see more date time with mam therine❤️❤️❤️Love lots from nueva vizcaya... Mona diha💗😚😚
Of all the places you have been to, this has got to be my favourite. I have been to a similar place in Coron, Palawan but it was too crowded. Maybe this Bislig river would've been as busy if it were not for the pandemic. The only place I have been to in Davao is Pearl farm. Your recent videos are making it more enticing for me to go back and explore Davao. Hopefully sooner, rather than later. Before tourism gets too busy again.
Amazing place, was able to go there before they banned swimming in the main pool area of the river. End of the river you can ride a boat going to the fish pens just outside of the mouth of the river where you can eat fresh seafood. You can also swim there and or catch your own food.
“Basta Ikaw” is really a nice word to receive from a friend. I’m really missing the sidewalk vendor selling turon, bananaque, maruya and camoteque. You are so lucky to have the Enchanted River almost to yourselves that day. Amazing poace! Beautiful to see Therine is having a great time there. 😊
How sweet of you kulas to Therine😍 Amazing place ... You make it happen again .. Travelling .. just like in 2021 ba? Samar etc.. Love this vlog... hugs to both of you KUTHE!!!❤❤❤
You two are a beautiful couple going to extraordinary places. Honestly I do think there are a lot of people (ladies ?) who are envious of your relationship with Therine that is why viewership suffer whenever you two are together. Example is the Palawan and weaving blogs where viewership suffered. But who cares, us loyal fans (friends) are with you all the way.
@@floranteguron3513 Good observation re some people think they own Kulas. Its mostly the romantic vlogs that tend to be slow. I watch every single vlog, so I guess some people look at the title and skip.
Good grief, we were at the enchanted river today! I've been wondering about giving Spin a try, thanks for the lowdown. Victory is my go to place for hardware lol.

If you live in Manila seafood is very expensive. Here on Masbate Island seafood is cheap and very fresh. Scallops, Shrimps, Squid etc very nice and affordable for most of the people....
I'd love to visit their one day and I know my wife Ling Ling would love those giant prawns! The legend goes that the engkanto and engkantada magically colored the river. Also I read that when a university team were exploring the caves in the underground section of the river one guy had heart failure when trying to get through a narrow area and died.
Thank you for visiting Mangagoy, my hometown. Fresh fish and seafood is abundant in our place. I suggest you and Therine visit Tinuy-an Falls our version of Niagara falls
I have been following you for quite a while love the design and style of your beach house I plan to retire in the Philippines very soon myself would love to get some information on your designer or architect also your Builder especially the guy that's doing all of the woodwork
