Hello there,
In this video I work on this wonderful Singer Sewing Machine. I dismantled the whole thing and cleaned / restored every part of it before putting it back together again.
It then returned to its lovely owner to live on for many more years to come where it will be passed onto younger generations.
Thank you for watching my videos. Your support is very much appreciated.
Leanne x

Excellent job, although I was slightly disappointed that teak oil wasn't used instead of varnish.

Lovely job on the metal work and drawers… not so sure about the colour you used on the top…. That singer sewing machine body is to die for - what a beauty with the art nouveau decoration.

Brings back so many memories of being a child and watching my mum sew with one of these I seem to remember when she bought a new fangled electric one there was so much excitement but it was no patch on the Singer. Heartbreaking to think it probably ended up with the rag and bone man. Thanks for the video and the memories. Another wonderful restoration!

They are so collectible. When I took it apart, it was unbelievable how well made it was. Hopefully your mam’s has also been restored and is still being used. This one was still in working order ❤️

I enjoy your work, but I don’t think we have the same taste in color. I admire your enthusiasm and skill in bringing the piece together, I always get really confused during reassembling.

Thank you for watching. I think it’s good that people have different preferences for colours. This one was for a customer who requested this colour. I appreciate your feedback, it helps me a great deal to get better. 😊

Hi again! I'm back!! I truly enjoy watching your videos, and you really outdid yourself on this piece! The gold lettering was gorgeous! I'm so glad that you just gave the sewing machine a good clean and didn't with the character and charm of the old machine. It still looks beautiful! I doubt that you will remember this, but I wrote to you once about getting the inspiration from you to tackle some deep scratches on my dining room table. My cat really tried hard not to slide off it, so her claws left deep ugly scratches on it. No, I didn't punish her. Stuff happens. However, this weekend I finally got the guts to do some scratch repairs. I used wood filler, and some melted filler sticks. Neither one worked wonders, but it looks much better. I also buffed the top of the table with Howard's Feed and Wax, and she shined up like new. (The table....NOT the cat. LOL) Thank you for encouraging me to try it. At some point, I may work on it a bit more. But for now, it's good enough for me and my husband. Sending hugs!!!!

Hi Karen. Thank you for watching. I really enjoyed working on this one. Yes I do remember and I’m so glad you’ve tackled it. Scratches are a nightmare to deal with. It sounds like you’ve done an amazing job and using filler sticks too! I’m really impressed. It’s actually possible to make scratches look worse in some cases by highlighting them even more. So if yours looks better then I’d take that as a massive WIN 🥇 Howard Feed n Wax is by far my favourite product to use. It works wonders. I love the smell too! Big high five 🙌 from me ❤️

What a beautiful piece of history 😍 You were very sympathetic to it's hostory and made it look beautiful again lots of hard work 😊 I used to have a sewing machine similar but not ad grand as that when I was young. I aldo had a modern one at some points lets just say me and sewing machines are not pals. Never got one to work properly for me. User error I am sure but I did appreciate their value. Love Charlie's tail it looks like a helicopter when it gets going and he is going to take off somewhere 😂 Sully has grown but ge was never going to win that tug of war 😂😂

I have always wanted to learn to use a sewing machine but I have the same fate. It just doesn’t go well. 😂 Ha ha i always think of Charles tail as a helicopter. He’s such a happy boy on the beach. Sully will win the tug of war one day very soon. He is growing so big. Thanks for watching. Hope you are well ❤️
